Got this model particularly because of the reasonable price at a 2K display level, and also because I want to get a monitor that matches both my Mac and my Surface pro's higher-than-HD displays.
The set-up was quite easy. I didn't actually have to read any instructions, nor did I need any utensils. The picture output is great. And the decent audio quality gives it a plus. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Has VGA, DVI, HDMI, DP, audio in, audio out. It tilts, swivels, pivots (portrait, landscape), and height adjustable. Has presets for theater, gaming, reading, etc, and can be changed (brightness, sharpness, etc). The monitor is heavy and seems tough/durable. Useful monitor if you need the flexibility of the inputs provided. 2K @ 27" is sharp/not jaggy, and looks fine without PPI scaling. In other words, 27" is not too big, not too small. Just make sure you have the desk space for this.

The screen resolution is very clear. I use QuickBooks and spreadsheets with my PC. I use photos and more on my MAC. The monitor was recognized automatically and quickly by both computers. The size is great for seeing 2 and 3 spreadsheets at once, comparing them side by side. This monitor is worth the extra dollars over a basic monitor.

Had this monitor for 2 months. Perfect right from the box. Ordered online and choose to pick up at my local store so I could check for damage before accepting the monitor. Didn't trust having it delivered to my home and arriving damaged from careless handling. Comes with multiple ports and all the cords which my husband loved having. Not quit ready for a 4K or a curved monitor or extra wide one which is wider but has a shorter height. This 27" square flat monitor that is adjustable for height AND tilt! Great picture quality. Lots of different I/O ports and is 2560x1440. Perfect!!

My new Asus PB278Q 27-inch monitor produces a very good, bright, high-resolution image. The black case and stand are attractive and sit firmly on my desk with no looseness in the gimbal.
The setup instructions, however, are very poor -- there is no text, just a few diagrams, and a couple of the steps are nearly uninterpretable. For example, the monitor is shipped with the screen oriented in vertical position relative to the stand, and it does not respond to a modest effort to rotate it. Should one apply more force? Or is there a latch of some sort that needs to be released? The instructions are silent on this question. I took a chance and pulled hard on the screen, and it then rotated into a horizontal position.
I also discovered a piece of dirt between the LCD panel and the transparent panel -- it covers more than 3 pixels and moves around if I tap on the monitor. I'm hoping to knock it to the bottom of the panel so it won't show and I won't have to return the monitor for replacement. But the fact that this very obvious problem was ignored during the factory inspection suggests a lack of respect for the customer on the part of the manufacturer.

I am really liking this monitor so far. It is the best 1440p name brand monitor for the price available. Beautiful picture. The bezels are thick, but the overall design is amazing. It is solid. Would recommend to everyone looking for a 2K IPS display.

the functions of being able to move it into any position you want makes it practical for whichever way you want to mount it on your desk. The colors are very vibrant. There are all the inputs you want. The screen is big but good enough real estate to do multiple windows.

Compared a lot of monitors and this was the best I could find.
Great picture, good features.
Wish the buttons were back light to see in low light.
Also cords are hard to run down the stand.
Speakers could be better. not loud enough

the Asus PB278Q offers strong color and viewing angle performance.
And it has a highly adjustable stand and an audio input.
HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort inputs.
Also, it has very good picture calibration options on the monitor's on screen menu.

This monitor is excellent. I finally get prints from my printer that match my computer screen. It is bright and crisp. Overall, I am highly pleased with it. Especially since it cost over $100 less than the Dell equivalent.

The monitor display looks great, and makes for a lot of workspace in high resolution. For some reason, I was unable to get the resolution higher than 1080, and I was hoping to use 1440 (I wonder if it's a video card issue).

I had problems getting the displayport connection working with this monitor and ended up going with a dvi/hdmi connection. Once I got it to connect I would lose signal whenever I turned off the monitor. Had to reboot to get signal. Looking around in the forums, others have had issues with displayport and the Asus PB278Q. Not sure why.
That said, I'm happy with the monitor using a dvi to hdmi cable.

The high resolution of this monitor is excellent, but many cards will not support that. So be sure you have one of these cards. And this resolution can only be attained with HDMI, dp, and DVI (Dual Link). So the manual says.
Other reviews have said that it does not come calibrated. I can't tell, and I haven't tried to get and use any calibration software yet.
I would recommend this monitor to anyone that wants a great picture.

Fantastic Upgrade from 1440p

Yes, there are cheaper monitors out there, some of which I've owned, but this is one quality product. The construction is quite sturdy, yet the stand's simple design gives it a contemporary flair that works well with my rectangular glass desk.
This was my first 1440p monitor, and it's significantly more detailed than my old 27" 1080p monitor. Colors are vibrant, and the screen's size lets me turn down the brightness a bit to avoid straining my eyes. I know some monitors have faster response times, but I've not noticed any ghosting whatsoever.
I'm sure other people will get into the technical bits of this product, but as your "average" PC gamer, it performs well to my undisciplined eye. The only downside is that shortly after purchasing this monitor, several of the 4K models started selling at the same price range, and I might have opted for one of those instead had I known that the price would fall so far in so short a time, but I can't justify upgrading my monitor twice in a single year.
I also upgraded my aging Radeon HD 5870 to an R9 290, and I noticed that it's not quite powerful enough to run Dragon Age: Inquisition at max settings in 1440p. If you plan on playing new games at this resolution, you might want to invest in an even more powerful graphics card.

I am so happy I ordered this monitor. It is easy to handle - I tend to adjust height so being able to adjust the screen up and down,, and tilted - is super simple. The package includes cables for every type of connection. The picture on this monitor is outstanding and it is sleek looking and lightweight.

It works great, remember to get a video card that supports the resolution. The screen rotates to portrait and has templates to setup real size paper images although I didn't need them it was cool. I needed it for music editing and the amount of information on the screen was great.
