too small for my use, did not like it

Takes up 2 USB ports just to use it!

I was wanting to take it back but can't cuz of COVID going on!! I was so upset when I noticed it takes 2 USB ports just to hook it up! I would have never purchased it IF I had only known this. Stay away from this one and find one that takes only 1 USB port to run.

Asus DVD drive

Even with the translation, there was no obvious option to get the CD software onto my computer I still haven't gotten it to work.

I put a music CD in and the drive loaded it. It does not recognize their is a disc loaded nor will it eject the disc. As I can longer return it, I will have to destroy the drive to get my CD back. Note to others: it requires 2 USB ports to run the drive at all. I will never purchase an ASUS product and I recommend no one else does either.

We certainly understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if the optical disc drive cannot detect a music CD.
To resolve the issue, please verify if the computer meets the system requirements of the drive. If it does, check if the PC is running with the most current OS update and the latest chipset driver, and a media player application was installed. Also, please verify if the optical disc drive was connected properly from the computer to the drive's USB port.
