Lasted just over a year. Never performed well

And worst of all it completely stopped working just over a year after purchase. Of course right after the warranty is up. Almost like they desing it to fail right after the warranty ends. Pretty discouraging to buy a $600+ laptop to laptop just over a year. Won't be buying Asus again i would stay away.

I was able to get one at 500 bucks during a sale and it is worth every penny. It is a good budget option for gamer's who are trying to start and need a laptop. The battery life is not the greatest but is good enough for my use in college. The keyboard doesnt make a clicky sound and does feel pretty solid. While most of the chassis of the laptop is made out of plastic it feels darn solid. The speaker can get loud and wont distort audio. Apart from that the software that comes included with the laptop is a good choice for everyone to take full use of the laptops customization in both sound and screen. The only cons I see from anyone looking to buy it is that you have to get the mentality of knowing you will be married to the outlet if you are planning all day use, and to make it more unpleasant the power brick and the laptop combined weigh around 6 pounds, so if you are the type to not handle large amounts of weight in your back don't get this laptop. The other thing is that I really thought I would be getting a 120hz refresh rate display after looking at the question but like the first line in all caps says that ain't true so watch out for that. If the 60hz and poor battery life don't bother you I recommend this hard, and if you do get it I would suggest upgrading the RAM and storage to improve the speed for your laptop and the amount of documents and games it can handle, preferably an ssd

I'm stuck with this thing until December, and I'm thoroughly unhappy with my first gaming laptop. On the bright side, when it's not crashing once a day, it is some pretty solid hardware.

First one was defect replacement wasnt better

Waited an hour on the phone with best buy to be told that i needed to have ASUS troubleshoot. Only to be hung up on before I even spoke with anyone. Would not recommend. Its a gaming laptop that you cant even play routine games on. My daughter is young and doesn’t play very long 1-2 hours max. A gaming laptop should be able to play games on it.

Great all around PC laptop, not just for "gaming"

It has a gorgeous IPS NON-Touchscreen display, also a non-glossy screen ! Not a two in one design ! Great keyboard look and feel, as well as the rest of the notebook. The "Gaming" branding is subtle, my only real complaint is the keyboard back-light color scheme, it can't be changed from its default cycle through red-green blue even though an ASUS rep on the Best Buy Q&A page claims it can be, not a deal breaker it can be turned off and brightness level can be changed, just not the colors. The value for money spent (on sale at $599 to $549) is outstanding, its built very well has dedicated graphics and I routinely get 6-7 hours of battery life in day to day use (not gaming) Honestly for a windows PC Glossy touchscreen two in one designs are simply not mainstream, this design works best for most people.
