So far the computer is running very well with the programs it is being used of. Very light and slim design helps carrying it all over campus. Charging wise picks up quickly in battery. Overall great purchase!!

Very powerful and nicely made. ALMOST everything I was looking for in a performance laptop. My only two reservations are the plasticy construction, which feels sturdy...and the screen brightness which I consider a bit lower than standard for high priced laptops. My XPS 13 had a 500nit brightness which was great for outdoors. This one is comparatively dim. But I still love the laptop. Thank goodness they finally added a webcam. Silly they left it off my G14. and BTW this screen is much better than the G14.

Hot Laptop! So hot you can't use it!

This laptop was everything I wanted in a laptop. Small, light, enough gaming power for everything I wanted to play. It was so close to being perfect. What was the one problem? This thing is hotter than the sun! I tried two of these assuming the first one was bad, but no, on silent mode, the computer idled at 55-60 C and was around 80-90 C running a light game. The bottom of this laptop is so poorly ventilated. It gets so hot you can't put it on your laptop even just basic web browsing. I could feel my thighs scolding though thick cargo pants and boxers. I returned it and the tech at Bestbuy even told me this model is just a problem. I'll stick with my Razer Blade 13 for now.

Fast, powerful and the flip over hinge allows for setting up the laptop in various positions which are better for viewing when using it as a PC replacement. All around upgrade from my HP Envy.

I was choosing between this and the zephrus G15, They are around the same price, but the 16:10 display is much better for productivity, touchscreen is great, so its worth the graphics card downgrade.

I have owned mine for two weeks now.... 0 problems. It is a fast and quiet little machine. The tablet mode is very responsive, buy a surface pen for a better experience (stay away from the Asus pen, which is not included). The battery is a bit on the small side, but still manages to deliver power under heavy load for a significant amount of time. Screen is very color accurate and responsive (I play games on it and have not noticed any impute lag). I have checked everything upon purchase, no dead pixels, keys all work, trackpad is glass (but too small for my taste), no backlight bleeding. Overall very happy with my purchase and will purchase a 15/16 inch model if released. You can't go wrong with this machine.

Love this little laptop I actually bought the Asus G15q with a 3080 and after I bought the x13 I never opened the G15 anymore. I ended up selling it. Only problem is finger prints are bad on it.

great laptop. Works really well if you're coding graphics or in Unity. Screen has some pretty bad ghosting, most dark modes will look bad with it. Keep it in mind, but over time you stop noticing it. ASUS armory crate is incredibly annoying though. Uses a ton of ram for some reason. Battery life is not very good, always bring around the charger. Side note: the plastic nubs near the touchpad fall off very often. Best to take them off and superglue them down before you lose them.

Awesome laptop, 100% would recommend. Only downside (which cant really be helped when gaming) is it revs up and gets loud but I put a cooling pad under it and it keeps the revs at bay.

As with most modern laptops, set up was as easy as following the step-by-step wizard. The exception was the fingerprint scanner. First, it took me forever to find it. I only knew it was there because Windows kept trying to set it up. It literally took me more than 40 minutes to finally figure out where it was: on the power button on the side of the laptop. There was no mention of where it was anywhere. After figuring it out, I had a hard time setting it up. I had to restart the process many times. It not always detected by finger. Although I like the feature, I am still experiencing some issues with it every now and then, but fortunately, that’s where the issues ended for me. Asus solved my problem with gaming, especially for the type that I play on laptops. Usually, these laptops are so heavy that it makes you wonder why not going with a full blown gaming desktop PC instead. Besides weight, batteries run out very quickly too. Although I like that they are easier to carry around than a desktop, they are cumbersome. But not the Asus ROG 13.4. It is slim and light. While it wouldn’t beat my gaming tower PC, it played everything I threw at it. For average games, the performance is outstanding. Games with very heavy graphics requirement had to be tweaked to play but that’s normal with almost any gaming laptop of this nature. And because it is so light, I have already made it my go-to laptop for everything else except for heavy video editing. Most gaming laptops don’t come with a touch screen, this one does and it is very responsive. It is clear, no distracting glare and color accuracy is good. The Ryzen 9 processor makes a huge difference and the GPU is not bad either. I did not run any benchmark software to give specific numbers because I tend to do this only for desktop/tower PC’s but the experience I’ve had with it so far tells me I wouldn’t be disappointed with the numbers. Boot-up is quick and when the fingerprint works, it is up and running in just a few seconds. For this review, I ignored the fingerprint issue because overall I really like this laptop. I can’t emphasize enough that it is powerful while slim, portable, and charges fast.

Stopped charging, crashes all the time

Usbc charging port failed within 4 months, had to argue with asus to send it back to rma. After 2 attempts they finally fixed the problem until about 11 months later the issue reoccurred but now affected all charging ports. Unfortunately now I’m out of warranty and S.O.L. This rendered the XG mobile useless as it constantly crashed with a defective proprietary port. My screen constantly Flickers and being outside warranty I now have an expensive piece of garbage. Only a motherboard replacement was able to fix the issue the first time but since the issue repeated it’s likely due to bad engineering. I suspect a defective Power delivery controller. Be warned, do not purchase from ASUS! If you go on Reddit you’ll see many people complaining of similar issues with this laptop so I am not alone. DO NOT BUY!

This is a surprisingly good laptop for the size and price. When the RTX 4000-series laptops are released there will definitely be something better, but this works. It stays between 70 and 80 degrees at medium-high graphics in most games, even with raytracing on ultra. The 120hz refresh rate display is great and bright enough. The only major issue I’ve had with it is how easily it gets fingerprints on it, but it’s a minor issue. Overall this is a great overall laptop for work, school, or gaming.
