Not worth $1300.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a decent laptop but the 3050ti doesn't even run games as well as an old 1070ti. The laptop runs really hot and doesn’t get great FPS (80 FPS on Fortnite medium settings).

Lives up to the "flex" name
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn't get any better than this. For those of us who like to work and play, this is perfect for travel, working on an airplane, super portable and can "flex" to any use case such as email, presentation, code, watching movies, or play any current gen video game with 3050ti. I could ask for a more flexible device that meets all my needs on go.

Asus Rog 13.4 gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The rendering speed almost matches my desktop with a much more expensive graphics card and similar operating systems. Wish I could have gotten this with a larger screen, but I can always add a larger monitor.

An essential tool to enhance the minds of youth
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is exactly what I needed for my son. My 13 year old uses it in his STEM courses and graphics design classes in magnet school. I didn’t mind paying the extra $$ because he also uses it to develop games with his classmates and they all love it and it’s features.

Good mobile option.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got this the other day and see no problem with it other than the speakers which leave a lot to be desired. It runs very fast and pages load very smooth. The sound quality with the speakers are terrible. Will get a little set of blue tooth speakers to use with it and that should solve the problem. Cheap fix.

Great 2 in 1 with gaming potential
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good lightweight laptop for anyone who needs a 2-in-1 with Pen support. I use this daily as a college student and can also run some games on the device. You can use a Surface pen or other 3rd party pens with the Surface lineup.

okay if bought on sale, and utilize the screen
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.solid laptop, but can run hot without disabling turbo boost. After adjustments, thermals are manageable, fans will kick in on power, but overall a decent buy.

Stay away: ASUS is a scam
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Motherboard is so thin on the inside, it will bend under the pressure of your keystrokes, and has a chance to not read the key presses. Customer service for ASUS is actually a scam, and not useful for repairing the system.

Nice machine, if size (lack of it) matters
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fairly capable gaming laptop in a very small form factor. If looking for a light, compact, and very portable option, this will likely fit the bill nicely. It's true that the GPU is not going to impress you with great (even usable) frame rates at 4K... but a 13.4" monitor isn't really what you would use for 4K anyway, right? At 1080, or its native 1900x1200 resolution, it is completely capable and I don't see any lag at all. It might work well as a VR platform, as well- but I don't use that, so I can't comment. If trying to drive an external monitor, however, be aware that you aren't going to have great results at higher resolutions. For me, I am using this to drive a processor intensive (but not frame-rate intensive) golf simulator with a swing monitor in my practice bay- either driving a 4K TV or projector. For this, the CPU speed and 16 gigs of onboard memory shine. It totally fits my needs, and is easily portable if I want to take the setup to the driving range, or simply pack it up for some mobile gaming while traveling. Another plus is the fingerprint ID power button. I have this on my Macbook pro and love it, but this is the first PC laptop I've had with this feature. It is a huge plus (even if a tiny bit finicky at times- mostly because of the small size of the power button/sensor, I imagine). Battery life seems reasonable, as well. I haven't had any issues with power limiting my game play, and it charges easily with the USB-C chargers that I use for my MBP or iPad Pro (it does come with its own charger, of course- but it's nice to not have to pack something extra when traveling). Cons? This is really small- which can be both a plus and minus. When you can get 16 or 17" screens in this price range (maybe with better hardware, as well), you may question the value here. But the unit's compact footprint and light weight can also be a selling point, and I figure most who are looking at this are choosing it BECAUSE of the size, not in spite of it. The touch pad is responsive, but has an annoying looseness which apparently is a frequent complaint with ASUS laptops. Finally, a single USB port makes the addition of a hub almost a requirement for most folks. This is probably a function of size, but could be an issue for some. Overall, I think this is capable and, assuming you are playing on the built in monitor, provides perfectly adequate performance for anything I have tested. It is reasonably inobtrusive (meaning, it doesn't LOOK like a gaming computer) so it goes well from work to play quite well. The large amount of SSD storage is a plus, and really allows for having both my work stuff on there as well as leisure (games). The screen does fold back and will function in touch-screen "tablet" mode, as well- though it is clunky and I have found that laptops that try to be tablets are about as useful as tablets that try to be laptops... but maybe that's just me. So I view this strictly as a small gaming laptop, and it does quite well in this niche. The build quality is reasonable, but not stellar, and that rattling touch pad is annoying, which is what keeps me from giving 5 stars.

This thing is great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazingly versatile laptop/tablet hybrid that pretty much does everything you need it to (including play games) well. My wife and I were originally skeptical as to how useful it would be but I have used it almost daily for a variety of tasks.

Only gaming capable ultrabook on the market
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its so amazing having an ultrabook footprint with decent gaming performance. The 16:10 screen makes the 13 inch screen so much easier to live with. Battery life is around 7.5 hrs (without the 3050ti). I wish screen was a little bit brighter.
