External monitors doesnt work with usb-c dock
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am initially really happy with the laptop as this is really Compact, nice, and snappy laptop. However, I need to use two external monitors with the laptop. That laptop has too few ports. There is one HDMI port that works fine. There is a usb-c port that is basically the charging port and supposed to work with data/display too. I have trie two separate usb-c dock, one from bestbuy (the J5 one) another from Amazon, but the external monitors didn't work through it. I have visited bestbuy store. They couldn’t tell me a name of usb-c dock that will Work for sure. Right now I have no idea if the problem is with the Laptop or all the dock station’s are junk. Very disappointed with the purchase. Might need to simply return it, as external monitors usage is critical for me.

Ever so often, the touchpad and fingerprint reader become unresponsive and stop working. The keyboard lighting goes dark as well. ASUS product support tries to be helpful, but appears to be ill-equipped to help with Windows 11.

I got less than 2 hours of backup on windows and around 3 hours on ubuntu. On a dell laptop of similar specs i get around 6h+ easily
