Love this little notebook. Fast processor for music DAW interface and recording system. Would have preferred one more USB port but am finding work around. I would probably buy the next screen size up next time since I have older eyes in my retirement .

Amazing laptop at great price. Best buy even price matched after the prices dropped after my order. Lightweight gaming laptop with 360 degree hinge and touchscreen display. Its a perfect package. Its been a week of usage and i am in love with the laptop. Battery usage is a bit of an issue but i would say overall you can manage.

Decent overall machine. I would recommend just buying the super nova if you plan on buying the external GPU too. Awesome thin and light with a decent build quality. Super fast SSD and two DECENT on board graphics cards.

    Great Portable Laptop Powerhouse!

This laptop has been a great investment! It has exceeded my expectations and I think it was well worth the price. I bought this PC when it was on sale for $1350 so it was a great deal. Though it probably would still be worth its regular price of $1500. My biggest reason for getting a new laptop was so that I could produce music (I use Ableton Live), play video games when needed, and do usual school/job work (word processor, excel, powerpoint, etc.). I found this pc to be the best for all three at the best price possible! I upgraded from a 2015 Lenovo ThinkPad S1 Yoga and before purchasing this laptop I was considering the MSI Stealth 15m, ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, and the MSI GS66. The ASUS ROG Flow X13 (this pc) beat out the others in terms of price, portability, construction, and overall capability. Here is a quick breakdown of what I think: Pros: - Super portable - Solid construction - Great speakers!! - Crisp and bright display - Great performance! - Multimedia capable - Nice feeling light-up keyboard - Large SSD - Armour Crate feature - Great price Cons: - Gets pretty *hot* with high intensity programs (i.e. games) - Sometimes loud fan noise when playing games - Few ports - Battery life ok (very short while playing games) A little more in-depth breakdown: This laptop is ultra portable and super thin. I was actually surprised how small this thing is. It has a premium feel to it with a completely metal body and a high quality glass touch screen. In my mind, apple laptops are the benchmark for build quality so if a macbook is a 10 in terms of construction, this laptop would be a solid 8.5. Honestly one of the best-constructed windows laptops I've seen. What knocks it down from a 10 to an 8.5 is that when closed it has a very subtle "give" on the top when pressed down. This is a very minor observation tbh. It also has a decent weight to it which I think adds to the premium feel but is not cumbersome at all. The design is subtle but also gives it a cool but professional look so you won't feel weird bringing this to class/work. I am an avid music listener and I've got to say that this laptop has some great built in speakers. They are located towards the front of the pc and honestly provide a pretty decent sense of stereo sound. Its peak loudness is good and has great clarity. Bass on this lil powerhouse is also very good in my opinion. If you need anymore just go buy external speakers or use a headset (who uses a laptop by itself as a sound system anyways??). The display is amazing and clear and I actually really enjoy the 16:10 aspect ratio. I feel that reading documents on this laptop is actually nicer than on other laptops due to the slightly taller screen. It should be noted that even though it has a taller screen than most laptops, its overall size when closed is comparable to other 13 inch laptops. The screen is bright and colorful and can bend all the way back to turn the pc into a tablet. I have not really used it in this configuration but it is a nice added bonus. It's also a touch screen which can come in handy when editing documents though I do not use it often. Again, its not essential but it is a nice added feature. I think that both of these features just make this pc even more well-rounded and not just a dedicated gaming laptop. Also, the size of the screen is actually pretty nice for gaming and I feel like a 15 inch screen would be a lil excessive. However, I've always used 13 inch laptops so that might just be me. I have noticed that the 13 inch screen limits the ease of use of some music production software (i.e. Ableton) so I plan on getting an external monitor for this purpose. Other than for serious music production sessions, this pc is great for on the go composition. Performance wise, this thing kicks butt!! I did a ton of research on different gaming laptops under $1800 for the past year and this had pretty much the best quality components for the price. While you can still find other laptops which RTX3050s and higher for similar or higher prices, this laptop was a great combo of graphics and cpu power with the AMD Ryzen 9 processor. So far, this laptop has played all of my games at Ultra settings at at least 30 fps, though typically higher (60 fps and above). I've recently been playing Guild Wars 2 (90+ fps), The Halo Master Chief Collection, Myst (2021), Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Control, all of which ran at Ultra with no problem. I should mention that each time I booted up a game for the first time it seemed like the pc ran really hot and was slow until it "got used to it"? After the 2nd or 3rd boot, each game then ran totally smooth and there were no problems. This pc runs **Hot** when playing at Ultra settings. Because of this I always play with an external laptop fan to help with the cooling. The fans also go into Turbo mode (when connected to AC power) which get quite loud. Thankfully, the included Armour Crate software measures the fan speed, loudness, and computer temperature to give you an idea of how this beefy machine is doing. It should be expected that a high performance machine in such a small chassis is going to get pretty hot and loud while gaming so tbh its not that bad for the performance you get. If you're wanting a high performance pc that is silent and cool, you are probably going to have to just go with a stand alone pc tower. On the bright side, this laptop is *silent* and cool with normal processes (internet browsing, word processing, watching Netflix, etc.). Also, I've used this laptop for music production (on Ableton Live) and I have had no problem with it. It runs great and can handle multiple tracks with no problem (which is due to the high performance Ryzen 9 processor and 16 gb RAM). In terms of ports, this pc is a bit limited. It does have the essentials: an HDMI output for external monitor, USB-C for power, Audio output for speakers/headset, and a USB port for a mouse (though you can always use a bluetooth mouse to free up that port if you need to). If you need this laptop to connect to a printer, multiple USB music instruments, external USB microphone, audio interface, etc. you are going to have to get a USB dongle. Again, at that point, if you need a machine to be a total workstation, might as well get a stand alone pc tower. Conclusion: Overall, this laptop is amazing! I would recommend this pc to anybody who wants a mix of casual computer use and high performance gaming/processing. In my opinion, its solid construction, high quality components, usability, portability, and performance makes this laptop the best bang-for-your-buck laptop out there at the time of this review (Oct 2021).

Easy to set up and boots up fast. Battery life is excellent and all hardware functions as it should. Update to Windows 11 went well, memory is efficient, and newer games function as it should on this device. Older games are easy to adapt to function on this new hardware. Overall excellent laptop.

Mighty Laptop in a Small Package

Summary ------------ Powerful gaming laptop in a small package which never screams "I am a gaming laptop" and at my age, I prefer the disguise, I mean business yet, I can play when I want to. This laptop is super powerful, very well built (glass is of gorilla glass), 360 spin (touchscreen/tablet mode) and its got ample storage. Overall I think this would beat the best 13 inch laptop in the market to pulp. What's in the box ----------------------- • ASUS ROG GV301QE-211.ZG13 • 4-cell battery • Power ada Ports ------- 1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack 1x HDMI 2.0b 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A 1x ROG XG Mobile Interface 2x Type C USB 3.2 Gen 2 with Power Delivery and Display Port Pros ------ 1. Very well built, it’s a touch screen and It can do a 360 spin to function as a tablet. 2. Powerful GPU 3. Lightweight (2.87lbs) 4. Does not screen gaming laptop, looks great for business use. 5. Gorilla Glass display panel. 6. Type C charging and a smaller adapter. 7. Fast charging (50% in 30 min) 8. 10 Hr claimed battery life 9. Backlit keyboard. 10. Fingerprint reader Cons ------ 1. Price 2. No ethernet port. Build and Setup --------------------- ASUS is really a leader in making gaming laptops with their ROG series. This one is truly out of the world. I am amazed at the way they have packed so much features into a small package. 16GB RAM, 1TB Hard Drive, 13.4 touch screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA RTX3050 Ti V4G graphics The laptop weighs just 2.87 lbs. and it is 0.62" thin which really makes it ultra portable. The laptop has sturdy built and looks more business looking than that of a gaming laptop which lets me use this laptop in office. The hinge can do 360 to function as a tablet which is an added bonus. The 100W charger that comes with it can charge the laptop to 50% in 30 mins. Bloatware is minimum and the startup is fast due to SSD. Love the end to end display! Usage ------- As a gaming laptop, it performs very well. Ryzen 9 is an excellent processor and RTX3050 Ti works pretty well on games like doom and Forza which I used for testing. The keys have a good feel to them something similar to the Lenovo keyboards. The trackpad is very responsive, but for gaming, I would still want to use my ROCCAT mouse. For some reason the trackpad does not work well for me. The speakers in the laptop are decent but I love connecting my gaming headset to this laptop to get the best experience. I love the fact that they do have the 3.5mm jack! Overall I think this is a great 2 in one laptop - Business and Play !! Get this .

This is an awesome little machine. I have owned for some weeks now and I other than the heating up (which I believe is common to most if not all laptops), it has ticked all my boxes. I havent done any heavy duty gaming on it yet, but for the light gaming in bed I got it for its bean great.

Great value, excellent performance for gaming. Doesn't have as many USB ports as I'd like, but you can expand easily with a USB-C dock or hub without sacrificing performance. The only con is that some games do cause it to get hot, so a cooling pad is a must.

I bought this laptop for college so I could have a great note-taking laptop while still being able to game during downtime. For a gaming laptop, this packs a lot of power for an ultrathin. I have no problems running many AAA titles at high or ultra while still getting 60 FPS. But as a laptop for school, this thing is such a pain. For example, using a pen is a hassle with the laptop. If you put the laptop in tablet mode, writing frequently gets interupted because it doesn't shut off the keyboard. Frequently after traveling to another class, the trackpad stops working. Even trying FN + F10 (The trackpad switch hotkey), doesn't fix this, requring a reboot. Also, the laptop will randomly lag out for no reason, sometimes to the point where the whole thing locks up. I have tried re-installing Windows, and that also hasn't fixed it. Battery life is tolerable for most classes, but with a 3 hour class, the laptop battery is pretty much drained by the end.

I dont game, but i make tech product videos in After effects for a living and this little black effer just kills it. I've been running AE, photoshop, media encoder and illustrator all simultaneously without it so much as flinching. I can even encode while working on additional videos in AE and this thing doesnt even twitch. Encoding speeds are actually slightly faster on this machine than on my desktop. Wild ride eh? Had i known this thing existed prior to having to buy it on an emergency whim, i think i wouldnt have bought a desktop and just gone with this. It took me exactly 1 day to get use to the small screen. This machine just slaps my ham everytime i use it. My only gripe is that I literally have nothing to gripe about. Its a sad day when they make a machine like this and nobody has anything negative to say. What the flunk is the world coming to?
