This laptop is designed for a very specific type of user - one who won't get by on a similarly spec'd laptop for hundreds less because they want this unit, this 2-in-1 form factor specifically. If this is what you're looking for, the market is slim. And your success rate will be slimmer. I've been through 2 HP Spectres in 3 years, each burnt out from terrible cooling. I thought I was in the clear when this device had the most magnificent cooling I've seen and incredible battery life, a QHD display, and speed I need. But roughly a week of usage in, and I've watched the computer crash on me not once or twice, but 5 times. 4 of the 5 times I was running basic tasks - just basic homework in Canvas on Google Chrome - when the device suddenly went black and I was hit with the boot animation. The laptop was whisper quiet and perfectly cool before the sudden error message-less crash, yet it shut off inexplicably. Finally, a fifth time, it shut off during a competitive match of Overwatch that my last laptop (an MSI GS66 that I returned solely for the buggy keyboard on almost every unit) with similar specs (an i7 instead of an R9 and DDR4 16GB instead of DDR5) and the same graphics card handled expertly. This laptop is BAD in practice. This issue is underdocumented but has been plaguing AMD-based units apparently for over 2 years with no response from AMD and no comment from ASUS. Some said uninstall some of the native ASUS software and it'll solve it and it only made it less frequent. I shouldn't have to lose your software to reduce crashes. I had a lot of respect for ASUS before this purchase because of a good laptop of theirs in the past. I was wary of AMD before this because of their reputation in the past, but this is the nail in the coffin for both brands for me.

I had very low expectations for buying this laptop as an open box item, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Everything is working fine, no BSOD and no bloatware. It's almost as if I won $1k. Supposedly, it has two ram slots and two SSD slots. So, it can be upgraded in the future. Otherwise, I have done a little gaming with this laptop (Nex Machina on Steam) so far and it looks great, but it gets quite hot, sometimes even when viewing a web page. It is perceptibly hotter than my lenovo yoga with an nvidia gtx 1050. I turned the refresh rate down to 60Hz and still gets pretty hot, even with the three fans that ASUS created for this laptop. I will probably try fiddling with the settings so that it uses less resources. IMO - it doesn't matter how many FPS you get if your lap is burning (yes, I actually use my laptop on my lap, it's weird). I haven't tested the battery life, but I would suspect that it isn't fantastic with the ryzen 9 6900HS and nvidia RTX 3060. High clock speeds and more system resources mean higher energy consumption. If truly portable gaming is your thing, look elsewhere and plan on making sacrifices in performance. I believe that the screen is a mini LED screen and the 2023 edition has an OLED. It looks great to me, although the 16:10 aspect ratio is weirdly noticeable. I am used to a 16:9 aspect ratio (I can't believe that I actually notice the difference).

Hello, I am currently writing this on this laptop, I do really like this laptop, but I do have some things that you should be aware about, this laptop is amazing! great performance, great screen, decent battery life, and pretty decent speakers defintely make a good experience. I will say I do have a few annoyences though, when you leave it and it goes to sleepmode I swear it takes forever to turn on, also, this keyboard layout compared to the macbook Im coming from is pretty uncomfortable, and I don't like how the keyboard backlight only turns on when you turn it on, and I don't like that the screen brightness doesn't adjust to your environment, MacBook's do this so well that i do miss that about it. Also, by far my biggest complaint is that every time you go on battery mode, it has to turn off the display, turn it back on again and drop it to 60hz.... why?? I get it saves battery but why can't I choose to keep it at that 165hz all the time or even why isn't there lower framerate options I can choose for this laptop that might not be 165hz. Overall, those are just nick picks of a truly remarkable laptop.

This computer blows me away. Graphics are INSANE, and speed of gaming is just as fast as a console. The keyboard changes color every few seconds, a small detail but it's a cool selling point. Has great battery life when not gaming--using browsers and apps will give you close to a full day of battery life if not longer, but any game larger than 50GB will kill it in less than 3hrs. Not a bad drawback in the longrun. The ability to move the screen and use it as a tablet is also an added plus, as this computer works great with the Bamboo drawing stylus I purchased. 10/10 would buy again.

Its been 1 month with this laptop, so i faced no major issue, but slight software issue like slow booting, screen stuck, orientation ( tablet mode to laptop mode). Battery when on eco mode it runs around 7 hours easily, when your gpu is 100% used laptop heats a lot. These are minor issues, apart from that RGB keyboard, screen and performance are top notch. LOVED THIS LAPTOP

I have been looking for this kaptop for a long time. Not only it is cpmpact but also very fast and durable. I have changed the RAMS to 64 gb 4800 mhz and changed the Wifi Card with Killer 1675 and now it rocks. I loved it and now ı wait for XG Mobile prices go down then it will be a beast. Upgradebility and portability is balanced in this laptop and very few have this balance. And the touch screen which also another reason that i bought this laptop is amazing. I have tried X13 before form my friend and i knew it was spectecular. I definitely recommend it.

I've had the Flow X16 for about 3 months now and I love this laptop. The pros: - The gaming performance is great: I play COD DMZ and Elden Ring at 1440p high settings with average of 60 fps on both - The keyboard feels great and I love the RGB modes it offers, including a "music" mode where the lights adjust to the sound of music! - The trackpad is nice and big and feels great - The display is good 99% of the time, the 1% of the time it's not good is because ASUS has some aggressive color adjustment stuff going on that doesn't affect most websites or UI's except it makes the colors on Google Maps look really weird and hard to look at, and sometimes the color on people's skin on videos looks off too - I love the touchscreen, which was an important feature for me. It also includes stylus support - I love the 1920x1200 resolution. I'm never going back to 1080p! - The AMD CPU is snappy and feels way more responsive compared to another intel CPU I tried on a Lenovo laptop - The speakers sound fantastic. Seriously, they are the best speakers I've heard on a laptop, though they don't get super loud. - The microphone is really good. I've been using Windows 11's new voice to text feature a lot now and it picks up my sentences correctly 99% of the time. It's more accurate than my $3,000 Dell work laptop! The cons: - There is no FN lock. I never use the F keys, and always use the fn keys so it's a bummer this is not possible. The 4 row of extra keys are just not enough, and for some dumb reason they added a mic mute button instead of a volume mute button here - The hinges on the screen are waaay to loose. Any time I use the touch screen the display moves back ever so slightly, over and over again, till the display is way further back compared to when it started - The power button is tiny and hard to find - There's a known issue with the first m.2 SSD slot on some laptops giving people problems, mine included. For me, whenever I would play Call of Duty the laptop would freeze after about an hour. I moved the m.2 SSD to the second slot and have not had the issue since, though it seems like Windows File Explorer takes a little bit longer to open since the change Honestly this laptop is amazing. The issues I've had were fairly minor, except the SSD issue which I had to open up the laptop and move it myself, but the pros for this laptop 100% make up for the cons if you can get it for under $1200!

I purchased this laptop roughly a week or so ago. I have had many laptops over the past 3 years, ranging from a 3050ti-3080ti (always max-p). This laptop so far has been awesome, not only do you have a greater connection speed for an e-gpu via XG Mobile, you also get the dock, and you can easily disconnect to move this laptop around. I was having issues finding a desktop type replacement laptop that wasn't too heavy, could more easily take a USB C charge and not be a brick, so far this laptop has been great. In regards to the laptop, I wish Ryzen/Asus would offer more cores via Ryzen, I hope the 7000 series Ryzen chips they offer 12+core options, then and only then will this laptop be 5 Start Quality. I have found the only thing holding back this laptop really is the CPU in terms of what I use it for in regards to work and gaming. Upgrades: 1. 32GB Ram 4800mhz Samsung 2. 2TB pcie 4.0 SSd 3. 1TB microsd leftover from a steam deck I have plenty of storage, and it doesn't seem to have any issues with accessing that easily when having several applications open. One issue I have found though is when I have many applications open there can be some lag, which generally is from the CPU due to processing, hence my comment about more cores. Overall I would recommend this product, I love the display that they finally upgraded with more nits and the finish is an OLED feel, on it's own it does really well especially with DLSS with the 3060. Battery life is actually surprisingly great - I had it unplugged for around 6 hours and it was only halfway drained, this is amazing for a 16" laptop. When you plug it into for instance my XG Mobile 6850XT M you get awesome power because of the all AMD system (FSR through software for any game), and the dock does super awesome because it doesn't cross into the PCIEx8 connector for the eGPU. I would place 5/5 stars but it's the CPU for me and I hope to see a 12 core minimum CPU for the next model. FYI thermals for me stay around 70C for the CPU, 80C for the 6850m egpu when under load. If I use my custom fan pad I stay around 65C for the CPU under load.

Stunning laptop that’s quite good at everything but not great at anything. The display was great, keyboard fantastic, trackpad is average, speakers are good enough, battery lasted about 4 hours running Firefox, Spotify and VS Code. I was quite happy with it but ultimately had to return it. I was plagued with Bluetooth issues and input delay tried every possible combination of settings and did several resets but it kept happening. My headphones would disconnect and reconnect every time there was a delay in audio, pause a video and it disconnects, next video starting another disconnect. Input lag… it may be connected to the Bluetooth issue but randomly when I’d go to type it would start having a 1-3 second delay between when I’d press the laptops physical keyboard or touchpad a restart always helped but it kept returning I tried all the updates but nothing seemed to fix it and it seems to be affecting a small amount of users per my limited google search which leads me to still recommending this laptop to others but I’m going to drop a star as a warning for others. Hopefully they can fix these issues in a future update and it’s not a hardware issue. There’s no other laptop on the market right now comparable at the current price with upgradeable ram and storage.

Great lightweight all-in-one Laptop. Coming from a Lenovo Legion with an i9 10th gen with 32 GB and an RTX 2080 my expectations were not really high. As far as the display, it is really nice and crisp for not being a mini-led. 165hz is good enough. Dont really use the tablet mode but can see how it's useful if needed. I mainly use it for work and school with really light gaming. I wanted to replace my Legion with something new that would allow me to do everything and pickings were slim based on what I was looking for.... decent CPU, GPU, and specs. Overall it runs just a little less FPS than my laptop with the 2080 so that's decent. I upgraded the RAM to 64 GB, I also swapped out both SSDs with 2 Samsung 2TB 980's so it runs fast, can multitask like crazy, and has tons of storage space. Word to the wise, when under heavy use, prop it up otherwise it gets hot. Those fans need space to breath, get a little laptop stand or cooling pad to allow space and airflow. It would have gotten five stars aside from one little issue I seem to be having with it randomly booting into bios and not recognizing the boot drive unless I hold down the power for 10 seconds for a hard reset. I am about to reinstall windows so hopefully that will solve the problem. I do love the laptop, I miss having a number pad on my laptop though. Overall, decent, especially when you can get it for $1199...it was $1999 when I got mine and I got an open box excellent for 1298 which may need to be RMA if I cannot get the random reboots to stop.

Bright screen, very crisp screen. Even when taking a picture of the screen, none of that weird striping im used to seeing on another display i have. great for photography and school, fast. No lag using lightroom or photoshop. Even on slow wifi. Would have given 5 stars but did not already come with a stylus. Which is definitely needed for photo editing. Love that it has expandable ram

Overall I am very happy with this purchase. This laptop packs a punch for being so sleek and sexy looking. The touchscreen works great and the keyboard and mousepad work great and have a nice quiet but solid feel. Even though I wanted the intel processor the AMD works just fine and is plenty of fast for my needs. I do some light gaming and music production. I like that I can also use it in tablet mode and do sketches or touch games if I want. Since it is sleek there is obviously limitations like ports. I purchased a USB-C hub that has ethernet and extra usb hookups but honestly the Lan chip is super quick and I never plug in my internet. I set my battery limit to 80% and stayed plugged in most of the time since gaming will drain battery quick. The only issue I've had is some spotty screen tearing when on 165hz. Reaching out to get it fixed but its not a huge issue as of now as everything is still operable. Overall 4 stars since it's not perfect but has a lot of cool features for a decent price.

On sale at $1500 it's not a terrible choice, but if your concern is primarily gaming performance this is not the laptop for you. It does have 2 ram slots as well as 2 m.2 slots. It is also much more affordable on sale than the 2700$ with the miniled screen, and is a great option if you're more on a budget. However, I still would never buy this laptop at the current sale price of $2,000. It has a great keyboard and massive trackpad, and the bezels are very narrow so it looks sleek and modern. One annoying thing about the build is that it does attract fingerprints very easily, but that is a common downside of any darker coloration laptop. Gaming performance wise it is fairly quiet, and performs quite well.Swapping the laptop into tablet mode increases the cooling and I would definitely recommend doing so. Although for the first couple days I had it battery life was poor, it has gotten much better now, and while I'm doing lighter tasks, I can usually get around 10 hours, sometimes more. If you go for the mini-led model, expect far less than this number.

I -love- this laptop. I'm a gamer and a hobby artist. Being able to fold this and use it 'notebook style' is fantastic, and nothing about it feels like it's resisting. I've used other convertible laptops and you can always sort of tell that the connections are bending back and forth. Not here. I'm actually posting this review in 2025, and it's still going strong strong strong! Quick frame rate, easily used, not a TON of bloatware, but a little, easily uninstalled. RGB is easy to use, touch screen is great. Doesn't over heat at wrist points either, airflow seems great, no crazy fan noises. 10/10
