||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Asus ROG Bulwark dock looks nice and has a pretty solid build quality, but it lacks in a few areas. It does not include a power adapter, and it requires a 100w power supply to function properly. The included 65w charger with the Ally X is not enough for full functionality. At this price point, the 100w charger should be included. The unit also gets hot enough that it becomes uncomfortable to hold, all while just charging. I have never experienced this with other handheld pc docks. Ultimately, it is nice that the unit can fold up for portability, but the price is far too high when cheaper docks can be had for a fraction of the price and perform nearly as well. It's hard for me to recommend unless it's on a deep sale.

Because of overheating and concerns about long‑term reliability, I decided to return it and would not recommend using it with an external battery pack as the primary power source. Moreover, ASUS should consider removing the bulky plastic hinge on this dock, since most ROG Ally owners are likely to use a dbrand Killswitch travel case that already includes a sturdy integrated stand.
