This dock looks great and has plenty of ports, but it overheats badly when powered by an external USB‑C battery pack and/or a wall charger. Because of overheating and concerns about long‑term reliability, I decided to return it and would not recommend using it with an external battery pack as the primary power source. Moreover, ASUS should consider removing the bulky plastic hinge on this dock, since most ROG Ally owners are likely to use a dbrand Killswitch travel case that already includes a sturdy integrated stand.

I bought this product on launch day, got it home and set it up. The device would not display properly on monitor nor my tv. Really disappointing.

We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing problems outputting video signal to your monitor and TV with this charger dock. To resolve this, ensure your monitor and TV are compatible with your PC. If these are compatible, ensure you are using a compatible and working video cable and your PC's display port is working properly. Additionally, ensure your PC is running with the most current chipset and video drivers, and Windows is up to date. Furthermore, check from the monitor and TV settings, or preference, the correct input source was selected and in Windows Display Properties, the correct display was setup. Lastly, ensure the AC adapter for the charger was connected to a power source to provide the power requirements for your monitor or TV.

This Dock has lights that will sync with the ROG Ally, and does other dock stuff too.
