Garbage
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reading all the positive reviews led me to get this since it was 40% off at thje time. I guess I just got a lemon. Only had it for 4 months and this thing is trash. It crashes and reboots at least 3 times a week yet nothing ever logs to Events so I can't even track the issue. Seems to be graphics card as one of my monitors will go black, return to normal and then it crashes within a couple minutes. Support, useless. Will find a replacement and use this as a $600 door stop or something.

Planned obsolescence
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this PC for my girlfriend they’ve never had a PC before excited to use it and one year later without us modifying the PCR doing anything to it after the manufacturers warranty run out it stops working just seems a little suspicious to me. I wouldn’t trust Best Buy’s pre built pcs as I’ve had similar issues with another one. Worst $700 I’ve spent get a rog ally or legion go.

Good Entry to Mid-Level gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, Asus has packaged a gaming desktop into a form factor to easily pick up, unpack, connect a go for a reasonable price point for someone wanting to enter the gaming scene. But be mindful that I said enter into gaming. This desktop comes with all the “minimum required specs” for about any game on the market, however, minimum requirements are not always the best depending on the game being played. It comes packed with a very capable and respectable Intel i5 1th generation processor with enough power to handle multitasking with audio, video, gaming, and editing without stutter. Provides 16gb DDR4 Ram that comes in at mid-level to easily handle any high grade game graphics at mid to high settings but is (upgradeable up to 64gb). NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660ti gpu is included that is also very respectable at being to process games at higher settings with ease and is a very good companion given the state of the GPU prices as of late. It only comes with 512 gb SSD which is a little of a let down considering that the SSD is probably one area where ASUS could’ve spent a few more bucks to provide at least 1 – 2 TB of storage to get this desktop at a great receiving and desirable point even at the current price. They kind of missed the target there and for what I cannot understand. It does come packed with plenty of USB 3.1 ports for all your devices (6 to be exact) in the rear with an additional 2 USB ports on top with a 3.5mm audio jack on top , HDMI outputs, DisplayPort outputs, ethernet ports, for all of your connectivity. Windows 11 is also included but you have to install and update after initial set up which didn’t take long at all. I was a little apprehensive with the Windows 11 update at first but it works very well with the gaming platform and has a clean and user friendly vibe to it. Unboxing the pc was very pleasing, it was packaged well with sturdy foam inserts, the clear vinyl abs plastic shell/side not installed and packaged separately to avoid any unforeseen damage or scratches, comes with a very mediocre wired keyboard and mouse just to get you started, and the vented aluminum side covering installed. To install the clear siding you simply remove the four attached screws and replace with the included screws and spacers packaged in a small plastic bag. The spacers are needed to provide a little extra cooling thru the small approximately 4mm gap or essentially vent that is produced around the clear siding since it is not perforated for cooling. I thought of modifying the siding myself by drilling holes for extra cooling but decided to wait to see how the pc performed under a load. The tower itself feels very well built and is not to heavy. There is a slight z design on the front to allow for the viewing of the RGB’s in front along with thru the clear siding. Start up and set up is very fast with the included SSD as expected, no surprises there. There was not a lot of bloatware updates that were needed when I first powered up other Windows 11 install and update. I started testing the pc with various 4K/HD videos and audio while also performing some web searches and doing some video editing. It handled well and was not very loud at all with fan noise or processing. At idle the pc temperature hovered between 50* - 60* and when I was multitasking it raised slightly to between 75*-85*. The cpu processing was at 3.5 GHZ – 4.5GHz and was only using 23% - 33% Ram. I was able to easily stream and edit at the same time with no interference on either platform that I was using. I have played extensively Wildlands (at highest settings), Forza Horizon 5 (at highest setting), NBA 2k22, and Madden 22, all at which performed beautifully. The fan did not get loud, actually I never noticed the fan noise at all, there was no lag in any games and all games produced at lowest maybe 80fps up to 120 fps. So far I am very please with this ASUS desktop, but I do wish they included more storage (at least 1TB. It is hard to consider this anything other than entry to mid level given the low 512gb of storage and budget friendly 1660ti gpu. BUT, it is easily upgradable from the respectable 16gb DDR Ram upto 64gb, and storage capacity with additional M.2 slots, PCIe slots, and DDR4 DIMM slots. I feel that this ASUS gaming desktop will stand the test of time hopefully for my needs and growth in gaming and video editing.

Great for a mid ranged gaming rig
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Asus PC is a pretty solid mid range gaming computer. The Republic Of Gamers has been around since 2006,and has been focused on making better gaming PCs and peripherals since it began. While this setup is not going to wow a professional gamer, it can make a casual gamer pretty happy.I was able to run some very popular pc games at different settings with all favorable results. I would like to point out that even with the graphics options set to very high and ultra in some games, this pc never crashed. The frame rates did drop pretty low on some games, and there was some shifting in the graphics, but the games were still playable. I am using a Samsung 42" 4K monitor, with the G10CE right out of the box, with no mods to the systemor any of the games played. The first thing you want to do before diving straight in to play any games is make sure that your systemand all it's drivers are up to date. I had at least half a dozen after I plugged everything in. You can checkfor some of these updates in the "My Asus" app. You can also set "games" as your "TaskFirst" priority. This sets gaming to a higher priority, and bumps tasks of lower priority down to the next level. Once all your updates are complete, it's a good idea to check out the Armoury Crate. The Armoury Crategives you some options in configuring the performance of the PC, it will let you configure for performance, energy consumption, noise level and temperature control. You can easily switch between saved profiles Aside from the Armoury Crate, the only other pre-installed gaming utility is the Windows Game Bar. One of the coolest features of the ROG systems is the intense lighting effects. All the lighting can be alteredwith preset or custom colors, and can be set to illuminate with different techniques, like strobe, breathing, rainbow, starry night and more. The color scheme can even be spread to your desktops background, andset to sync between all ROG peripherals (if you have any). The G10CE.306 comes with a 16 GB Micron 8ATF2G64AZ stick of RAM. Which is a pretty reliablememory stick, but doesn't quite reach the benchmarks of some of the more expensive options out there. It does have 3 open memory slots that you can add to, the max is 64GB The graphics card is one of Nvidia's newer options, but is pretty much the middle of the row. It's GPU clock speeds run between 1500MHz and 1770MHz, and has 6GB of VRam. The 1660 Ti has a 120W TDP which is a remarkably low power draw for its performance. The WDC PC SN530 SDBPNPZ-512G-1002 512GB SSD, is very fast even for a SSD,reaching avg. 4K-64Thread Read Speeds of 1,110MB/s . However, it has varying results for the write speeds averaging around 437MB/s. The CPU i5-11400F is a very reliable CPU that works well under most normal circumstances, and even returns favorable resultsat max operating levels. During game play testing, the CPU only maxed out when the graphics setting were set to their highest for each game, otherwise the CPU ran at 50% to 60% for lower but still high graphic settings.Even with the CPU at max the PC never crashed or froze at all. I tested the PC with a few different benchmark utilities, and all of them came back with the same results, that this build would work excellent for a general desktop, pretty good as a workstation, and very good as a mid range gaming PC. The easiest way to improve the performance is to add to the RAM, and then move on to upgrading the GPU if your need formore intense games increases. The SSD works very good, but is only 512GB, so if you plan on installing more than half a dozenbig games, you are going to have to add to the storage. I was able to run the following games with these results: Fortnite - high graphics options, beta, 4KFPS = between 100 to 300 (depending on the density of other players and objects)- everything ran fine, and had excellent resolution Halo Infinite - 4K, ultra high graphic optionsFPS= 34 to 46 with some shifting in the graphics- the play was kind of slow but did not stutter Destiny 2 - 4K, high graphic optionsFPS= around 50 the game looked good and responded well - no issues The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - 4K, ultra graphics optionsFPS= 24-26 some shifting in the screen, slow performance, but still fast enough to play Obviously with lower graphic options, and lower resolutions, all of these games wereable to play smoothly and without issue. So it's more a question of how good do you want it to look vs how well it's going to play. I did find a middle ground on each game that I thought looked good, and performed very well. Overall, I think this is a great option for a non serious gamer, or a gamer on a budget. It works well out of the box, and can be easily upgraded to higher levels with just afew changes.

Internet connections
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Internet super slow. I have Verizon FIOS and my Dell laptop with Windows 10 (on WiFi), Sony smart TV (on WiFi), my wife's PC (on WiFi) with Windows 10 and my old Dell with Windows 7 (wired connection) working perfect with my internet provider....but this ASUS is terrible. Problem is not every website working perfect, no connection to Amazon, YouTube, eBay etc. All drivers up to date, and still can't use it

Missing parts
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my son but it was missing parts. There was no power cord and no mouse. I called once to let them know and they transferred me to another department but was on hold for over 40 minutes so I hung up. If they make it right I will increase my rating. I had an old power cable and mouse from a previous PC to get it working for now.

As expected great system from ASUS for the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the past few years I have moved all my games system to ASUS ROG. The systems are well design and have great esthetics. They are built around a great performance motherboard with about all the options you would want. The system I have is kinda the base entry level so there are a number of upgrade that I will make or if your purchase you may want to look for when you buy. That said I haven’t had any issues with any of the games I play that we related to the system, I did experience some problem but tracked that back to the net work provider. I typically play on a ROG laptop so this is really a step up in terms of power and speed. Pros I really like the way the machine looks - the plexiglass shade is a nice touch Motherboard and the ability to upgraded - the system is easily accessible for any type of upgrades you want to make CPU and GPU - these are major step ups from what I use to with the laptop Sound - the option with the sound and ability to hook into the sound system are really good Oks Cooling and noise - the cooling works it’s not great but not had any noticeable issues. As for the noise. It’s not bad you can tell when you stressing the system but overall no issues Memory and storage - I elated this as OK due to the ease of upgrade/add. The base configuration with require more disk space to really have more than just a few games load. The base ram is 16, not great but as I said earlier easy to upgrade Bad No usb c ports - not sure what to say on this one Provide keyboard and mouse - when you buy the system just go ahead and pick up something for these. Overall it a great system for the money but don’t think that your done. Yes you can take it home and get play but you going to want to make some upgrades
