$1500 can get you a better build

My friend had a power surge to her room(the PSU was plugged directly into the wall) that fired her PSU so I replaced it for her. The case is a pain to open up, the front panel especially, and the cables to the buttons on front at fatigue and the panel is cheap plastic. The case should come with more fans in my opinion if its a $1,500 build. The stock Intel cooler for the CPU runs way too hot for that chip, again I think for $1,500 they should at least put a better cooler in. The PSU is only 500W... kind of low wattage. The PC still runs games but I think they skimped on a lot of the little parts that would make this PC run smoother and last longer. For $1,500 you could get a way better pre-built. I would of told my friend this but she did an impulse buy.

Cool it then perfect value

Like others, the fans are loud and temperature is HIGH. I play Black Desert Online and with open case it was still reaching 100C max. However, I had best buy geek squad install Noctua NH-U9S for roughly 60$ + 60$ for install price. Now my idle of 65C turned to 35C. My max is 65C instead of 100C. If you don't get another fan, it's not worth it. However it is the perfect prebuilt if you do get another fan.

That being said i decided to install a be quiet slim and the cpu temps have improved by miles. This simple cooler will do the trick and its only 30 dollars! Yes you can go with a aio if want to get a bit better performance and should if overclocking, but if you plan to use this for casual gaming and everyday work, the one i installed has been working perfectly fine.

Random shutoff
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Components are great, exactly what I expected and hoped for... except the dang thing constantly shuts off for no reason with no error code to follow. I purchased the 3080 version and the only thing I can figure is the power draw is just too much. It only works laid on its side, but still randomly shuts off if the card starts to pull any extra power. for $2000 it needs to at least run. The cooling is an easy fix and was to be expected, but the power problem and constant shutoffs even after the cooling was fixed.... unacceptable.

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if the PC is randomly shuuting down.
All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. To resolve the issue, please ensure Windows, chipset and video drivers are up to date. Also, check the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please verify that no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature and may cause auto-shutdown.

Just disappointing...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work in IT for a living and jumped at the idea of getting a 3070 with this RAM and CPU combo at this price point over building one due to the ridiculous GPU prices. However, after 4 months of intermittent usage, the motherboard is now in need of replacing. It is such a shame as I have been praising ASUS products for past 7 years. I no longer have faith in the brand and will definitely never buy another pre-build or ASUS product. Such a shame.

Dont buy it overheats
