Parts are great. Cooling not so much.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Case is junk. But parts inside are really good for the most part. I swapped all the parts out into a Corsair 220T and put an H100i AIO up top. It fits but ONLY with low profile ram. No RGB ram is small enough. The stock cooling on this PC is complete junk. So don't even turn it on without immediately upgrading. I got the LHR 3080. But for gaming that doesn't matter. It will play every single game out in Ultra settings and doesn't even blink. Only complain besides case and cooling is the RAM. 16gb isn't near enough. I routinely max it out so I have 32gb of Vengeance LPX on the way. Paid $1799 for this machine. $2100 all in for a gaming monster.

Nice tuf
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer have powerful tuf 3080, that is only reason buy this computer. Because it’s hard to buy 3080 now, and this one is good deal, but the case and cooler is too bad, your must to change a good one, after that it will be so excited.

Good PC, but fans are extremely loud, and gets hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Strong computer, good value considering the resell prices of 3080's now. The cooling on this unit is absolutely nonexistent. I just started using it and already the fan is blowing off the charts. When the fans are running, you can easily hear it a room away. Not too sure what I'm supposed to do. I'm not too tech savvy either to install a new fan into this prebuilt. I was hoping it would be more plug and play but that is not the case. If you are willing to make updates to this computer, it's worth it. But for someone like me who is not that tech savvy, I am not too sure. I tried contacting ASUS but will have to wait for a reply.

Don't waste your time or money on this one.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the third time I've attempted to write a review of this computer, I guess the retailer will not post it if you also tell of their poor customer service, so I'll just tell you about the computer & ASUS's inept handling of an unsatisfactory $2000 piece of junk. Yes it has a very hard to find & overpriced GPU, yes it comes with a decent amount of RAM & motherboard and power supply, but what good is it when all of these parts as a whole cannot stand up to run long enough to even install the software. Doesn't anyone at ASUS check these things prior to shipping them? I bought the first in the beginning of August, shipped it back a week later for shutting down whenever it wanted to, I requested a replacement & it arrived Wednesday of this week, I could not get it to run for more than 5 minutes at a time, it was even worse than the first they shipped out to me, it was returned yesterday. Calling ASUS gets you no help, here is my case number they gave me (N2108039333)

Great but needs upgrades
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great computer for the $$$. Only way to get a 3080 GPU at a decent price. Cooling system needs to be upgraded. Added a MSR 240 and some Noctua Fans and now is working great. Recommended if you like to put some work in the upgrade.

Good machine but improper cooling solutions
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The machine is good for the price considering the inflated costs of graphic cards. The individual components (i.e., graphics card, processor, storage, etc.) are mid to high tier (RAM is probably mid to low tier). The cost per part are also a little over MSRP value if you were to price out the individual components on pcpartpicker. Overall, this machine is worth the money only if you have the knowledge and time to rehome the parts into a new case with added cooling. I changed out the case and added a noctua nh-d15 cooler and the CPU idles at 30C and gets up to 75C under heavy load (with the stock cooler, it idled at 45C and sounded like a jet engine, didn't bother booting up a game with the stock model). The ASUS TUF 3080 gets to 70C under 100% usage, so with the proper air flow and cooling, the machine can run to its maximum potential. TLDR: While the pricing is somewhat "fair" considering the state of the GPU market, this definitely isn't a "plug and play" product -- I recommend this product only if you have the time to rebuild the machine to add the necessary parts to cool it while you put it under heavy load.

Good performance, bad cooling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The specs are great with amazing performance but the cooling is a major issue. If you consider buying this you would also need to install better cooling. I suggest the Corsair h100i liquid cooler.

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value if you know a couple things about the insides, powerful gpu. Good motherboard, i7 11th gen core, down falls are the computer over heats with the side glass on, the cpu cooler doesn't cool the cpu goodenough for heavy loads, and yup that fighter jet sound from the rear case fan just makes you turn your sound up definitely worth a little work after you buy it, ill be getting a second one.

Gaming PC Ok - HDD Not
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far the pc works pretty good, the only issue is with the HDD, it is very slow so some games will take forever to join/load. Replacing the HDD with a different drive today.

Great machine at a great price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this little computer. Clearly the fan noise can be insane depending on what you're doing but for myself, unable to get an individual 3080, the computer is a great buy and looks really good. Right now I'm mining and it's as quiet as a mouse, when I get into gaming or anything else that may utilize the CPU I will swap out the stock cooler for another. The case, lighting, GRFX card, and over all look of the unit when on makes it a 5 star. I've got 2 other of my own builds that don't look as good as this stock unit. I've taken the glass window off the side to aid cooling and my 3080 is running 44 C. No CPU fan at all.

Okay with some tweaks
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's alright for the specs, but it has some issues: -CPU cooling out of box is poor, it was constantly hitting 100C+. I was able to fix the issues by adding 3 fans at the top, as well turning off the Intel Turbo Boost in the bios. I'm sure there is a performance loss from turning this off, but it was unnoticeable for what I mainly use the PC for (gaming and VR). After doing this the CPU would hit around 75C max. -The rear fan is super loud. I would highly suggest replacing it with something else. Even at it's slowest speed it's super noisy. -I had issues getting my previous computer's SATA M.2 drive to be recognized at all on this motherboard. I ended up totally replacing the pre-installed SSD with a 2.5 SATA drive and cloning data from my previous M.2 drive via a USB adapter. Overall, the PC is fine if you are able to deal with the noise. Normally I would never recommend something like this normally, but with the part shortage going on, especially for GPUs, this PC is an okay deal for the price.

Great Hot PC
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent performance from everything inside! The only issue i had was of course with cooling. The cooling setup was absolute minimal with mini chassis fan and a single fan CPU air cooler. However knowing this before buying, i had a liquid cooler, a new case, and more fans ready to install.

Posted .Dear ELIte,
I'm sorry to hear about your issue with the cooling. What you've experienced was not intentional and this is a random case. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient airflow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource-hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. For further troubleshooting, feel free to reach out to me at customerloyalty@asus.com and provide this link for reference. I'll do my best to provide a quick resolution to your case. Great Product, Requires some work though
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be aware, this system does need you to put in a bit of work in order to get this machine running to its full potential. New case and new CPU cooler are a must. I personally also added another NVME SSD, and more ram myself. However, Once you get the cooling issues sorted, this is a great machine that will treat you well.

Get it for the 3080. Rest is OK but not good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plus: Non-LHR 3080 giving close to 100Mh/s Cons: Bad case. RGB doesn't seem to be easily turned off. Bunch of 80mm fans. CPU, RAM, SSD, PSU are OK but mostly low end stuff. Mobo should be great but its a custom version.

Convection Computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you enjoy being slow baked by your computer while it thermal throttles killing performance this is the desktop for you. Great components in a small package with horrible cooling is the summary of this desktop. This case needs about 4 more fans and to gain some girth for that 3080 to be happy. Will be returning this package.

Posted .Dear Sealnplay,
Absolutely, the Desktop PC has great components.
We do understand your concern about thermal issues. The PC has an efficient cooling system that can dissipate heat properly. It is normal for the desktop PC to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely speak the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Whatever you do, Swap the cooler
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.-Garbage CPU cooler even maxed fan settings Ran FFXIV benchmark with 1080 Maximum and CPU hit 100c then thermal throttled at about the 4th loading screen GPU held ~80c during test Added 2 intake fans (Uphere T7SYC7) top fan zip tied on top holes bottom screwed in then swapped to push/ pull with Noctua NH-U9S which running full speed sounds like old fans at ~40% GPU held ~75c and CPU averaged 68c Also power button was disconnected from front panel slot upon arrival

God awful cooling, ONLY BUY ON SALE.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale so the $1600 was pretty good considering, but its absolutely abysmal how terrible the cooling setup in this PC is. CPU temps hit roughly 180F+ on average with the simplest games and programs(CPU temp light on motherboard flashes red during some games' launch), and the case is too small to install any water cooling hardware(in my experience). Seriously...Only buy this PC if it goes on sale, don't pay full price because you HAVE to put more money into it, whether it be additional fans(if you can fit them) or a water cooling unit + new case. *Also it's laughable how uneducated the ASUS support is on this matter(or in general), scrolling through the reviews, they're referring to this DESKTOP PC as a laptop when defending their TERRIBLE DESIGN FLAWS.

Good parts, But unusable out of the box.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: I bought this intending to integrate the i7 11700KF and the 3080 into my current build, and for that purpose it was great. They are peforming to spec and most of the other components have been useful in other builds. CONS: when i first took it out of the box and plugged it in it was unusable. It comes with an 80mm tower cooler and a single 80mm exhaust fan which are inadequate for such a powerful cpu. At stock settings it would only run for about 5 mins before hitting over 100c and crashing. Theres only room for one additional 120mm intake fan in this case, which wasnt enough to make a difference. I even reapplied the cpu thermal paste. There was just no way it was going to work. Giving 3 stars because it is a good way to get these scarce parts, but if I had bought this for $2000 expecting a functional machine I'd have been devastated.

50 bucks from awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid pre-build except the fans;(. Tried battlefront 2 and it will shutdown randomly with no warning at all. Fan will blow like jet engine. Totally unbearable. The bios fa setup helps a little bit, but definitely not enough, BF2 will still shutdown randomly. Switched the CPU fan for a Vetroo V5 and chassis fan for a Noctua A9-PWM. Wala, everything is awesome now! Give this machine 4 star just because it needs ~50 bucks to become awesome.

Only buy if you have patience and knowledge
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Solid specs for the price-point. Cons: thermals are crap. CPU was spiking to 100*C and thermal throttling out of the box. I installed 2 exhaust fans, 2 intake fans, and replaced the CPU cooler/heatsink/thermla paste with a Noctua NH-U9S fan + extra fan. And it still kept giving me trouble. I re-applied thermal paste + reseated cooler 4 times. The final time I reseated the CPU too and that finally did the trick. Temperatures dropped to 30C and spikes were 80C with stress tests. But IT STILL CRASHED. It wasn't a thermal throttling issue after the new fans. But likely a faulty motherboard or PSU. I had random crashes to black with no warning. No blue screen errors - so that rules out a ram or hard drive or GPU problem. I returned the PC. It's too much effort and money to replace a motherboard or PSU myself.
