Bought this machine during the GPU shortage, and the 3080 it came with is about the only positive. First off, if you plan on getting the full performance out of this hardware out of the box, forget it. The CPU cooler is only slightly better than stock and the provided case has exactly 1 80mm chassis fan for exhaust, no intake to speak of. You'll need to void your warranty and get a case/ cooler upgrade asap. Next, the motherboard; I don't know why on earth you would provide a B series board with a K series Intel, but you can forget overclocking if you get better cooling. You'll need a MB upgrade as well if that's the goal. And that may be non-negotiable, as my ASUS TUF B560 that came with this machine died after less than a year. Remember, NO manufacturer RMA, cause you'll smoke the warranty just by opening the case! God forbid we can troubleshoot hardware issues ourselves right? Also, no Gen4 NVME boot drive? That's the main selling point of 11th Gen Intel! Finally, the PSU is what I would consider to be under-spec for a 3080 and an i7, only 750 watts. I had little options at the time of purchase, but any future buyers beware. The point of a prebuilt, especially at this price point, is to have a killer machine that fires right up and stays functional with standard TLC for at least a few years. Mine didn't last 1. Big oof ASUS, would've thought you guys would put together a decent PC for $2k.

If you have very little experience working on pcs like I did when I bought it, you’ll find this pc to be a hassle. Nothing wrong with the internals for me and you get it at a decent price but the cooling is nowhere near where it needs to be. Even when I went in and added fans (which is a pain because there are very little placement options inside) there were still heat issues. After about a million tutorials and tinkering with every setting I got so sick of it I enlisted help to move the internals into a new case after which it’s been perfect. Do not get me wrong this computer has great pieces but if you just want a pc that you can just plug in and play without working on it I’d look elsewhere.

Shame on me, should have paid more attention to the reviews. I purchased a GL12CX-B9 several years ago. Great computer, no issues, but wanted an upgraded graphics card for improved gaming. Pulled the trigger on the G15CE thinking it would be equipped with similar accessories. The 512GB SSD is too small, but that was an easy fix. Future computers should have a minimum of 2TB SSD. What surprised me was the lack of liquid cooling. The GL12CX had liquid cooling, so I assumed this computer would have it as well. A liquid cooler can be added, but there is limited space for additional fans. Like many reviews, I ditched the original case for ASUS TUF Gaming GT501, which is truly designed for gaming power.

    Potentially a great system

The components inside the box are good to great. The choice of CPU, GPU, Motherboard, RAM, M.2 NVME drive and SSD go well together mostly. Pairing an unlocked 11700KF with a B560 (which does not allow CPU overclocking) is a head scratcher. An 11700 or 11700F could have shaved $75-$100 off the price. There are a few items that need to be addressed that can unlock the pre-built's full potential. As it comes out of the box, the system's thermal handling and air flow is the biggest weakness and may lead to thermal throttling. * CPU Cooler - The tower cooler is OK. A step up from the standard Intel box cooler. It has three heatpipes, but is coupled with a 92mm fan that can get really loud. I replaced this unit with a Scythe Fuma 2. * Lack of fans - The case can accommodate two two 120mm fans in the font as intake, but only includes a 92mm exhaust fan. As with the CPU cooler fan, the exhaust fan can get loud as well. I installed two Scythe Kaze Flex 120's in the front and a Scythe Kaze Flex 92 as a rear exhaust fan. * Case - While small and compact, the case lacks the ability to mount additional 2.5" SSDs or HDDs. Airflow isn't the greatest either. If you are comfortable with replacing and adding some better cooling, this has the potential to be a great PC. Otherwise, a system from another OEM or SI may be a better choice.

So as many others have already said, this desktop needs some work to run efficiently. If you are not somewhat technically savvy, I advise looking at other prebuilts as this is not built to work well out of the box without tweaks. The entire desktop runs HOT and needs additional methods of cooling the inefficent intel CPU as well as the rest of the components. The included single rear fan is a joke. With that being said, if you are looking at buying this, you already know this is one of the few feasible ways to obtain a 3080. Hence the 3 star rating. If it wasn’t for the current climate of GPUs, I highly doubt this desktop would sell well at all.

I can say that mine came with a TUF 3080. It works flawlessly. I would recommend getting the warranty as you only have a 1 year with this one. As far as the heat issues and fan noises, the air flow in the case isn't the best for sure but mine isn't sounding like a jet engine like others claim. I did run all the software updates after turning it on and it seems to work fine now. I will admit the fan profiles were a but overkill initially but seems to be fine now. Very capable PC.

great PC. i bought it while it was on sale so i received an awesome deal. only one negative, which isn't really that bad, but it can get annoying, is the loud fan that kicks on when playing games. it only kicks on when i am playing games and using the graphics card. i use it for work AND games, so it doesn't get loud too often. but if you are only going to use it for gaming, the fan will probably stay on a lot. be prepared for that. nothing flashy. but nice

The parts, aside from the ram (which is alright) and the downright idiotic CPU cooler, are actually fantastic. I chose to case swap my machine and add a much better cooler, yielding significantly high boost clocks with temperatures not even vaguely close to throttling. The original cooler is fot for nothing more than trash, seriously, dump it. Even the most menial of tasks (web browsing!) caused temperature spikes into the 80s. Well priced though at 2k at this time though even after the work needed to make it properly functional.

Overall, the system performs how I would expect given it's components. Case seems well built. Internals were organized and fitted properly. Was completely plug and play right out the box if that is something you're looking for. It does run hot as most of the reviews say, so I would recommend buying with a plan to address that. Playing an FPS on max settings @240hz for 3 hours and CPU temps were in the 80s.

      Dear Moose,

We do understand your concern about thermal issues.

The cooling system is adequate to dissipateexcessive heat efficiently. It is normal for the desktop PC, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.
