Components are good but cooling is poor, changing cpu cooler increased performance quite a bit

Amazing GPU, somehow kept temp under 70F in this hot case. The rest can't keep up.

Honestly, really solid pc. However the cooling definitely needs to be addressed. This thing genuinely sounds like a jet engine. So a case swap/Cpu cooler swap/Adding more fans is a must. I purchased a Vetroo V5 that i'll be installing in the morning. Other than that, the pc runs like a beast. Absolutely love it

limitation: cpu heats up too much and I am currently using it with cpu speed capped at 3.9GHz to keep the temperature reasonable. I intend to use it primarily for gpu (which does not heat up) and it is quite a good computer if one does not mind using it under slightly sub-optimal cpu clock speed (which is not a big concern if gpu heavy jobs).

Nice price in this market, you'll just have to change out the CPU cooler if you don't want to constantly overheat and shut down every 5 mins. I replaced the stock cooler with a Vetroo V5 like one guy suggested, just be careful. If you have all your dimm slots filled in, the fan will bump into it. I had to get a slim fan to fit. Once you get the cooling issues fixed, its a great system.

Great value in today's market. Good cable management, decent non proprietary parts selection, surprisingly good power supply. Also it includes a 3080 Tuf so its a decent quality 3080, not just some reference or one off blower card. The case looks a lot better in person as well, and the handle is good for moving it around.

If you accept the fact that you have to replace the case so that you can actually manage to have airflow then overall its not bad for the orice. Fans literally sound like a jet engine, they literally scared me enough to turn the computer off whenever I first turned it on. Imediately put everything that was good enough to put into my old case so that I could have my fans instead of theirs.

Good value taking into an account this crazy GPU market. But runs very hot.

Great system. Not really impressed with the lack of case intake fan, but happy that the CPU has a heatsink and fan. BIOS options are plentiful and similar to every other ASUS motherboard. Kudos here. Usually, system builders cheap out on the motherboard and give you just the bare minimum.

There are good compounds, but there are cooler problems with the fans, and the case is small.

Excellent system, except for the case, it's like a vacuum chamber. The RTX 3080 is worth the price alone. Get yourself a case with good airflow, and a $25 Vetroo V5 cooler, some Noctua fans, some MX5 thermal compound, and you'll have a sweet setup using the parts from the system.

Follow at your own risk. 1. Remove side panel 2. Undervolt cpu/gpu 3. Turn off all asus OC settings in bios input settings manually for better voltage/thermals/noise 4. Unify cpu all core ratio and limit boost to 46x 5. Repaste Cpu 6. Add fans/adjust profiles for noise 7. Overclock RAM

I bought it for the price it was on sale. But wow what a bad CPU cooler like very bad, and its making this great value PC kinda not selling out. However there is a workaround that if you want to open the case and replace the stock CPU cooler with this "The Vetroo V5 cooler" yes I know some people are not so good replacing the CPU cooler themself but that's the ONLY WAY. Now for ASUS you guys sucks plain and simple with this PC thermal design.

There is a cooling problem you will need to address right off the bat. If not it will run really hot and you will get some thermal shutdowns. other than the cooling issues this system is fairly decent with the current GPU shortage we are in. https://imgur.com/a/v5foM6l this is a link to a guide of what you have to get the pc cool, that or you will have to do a case swap.

I want to give this 5 stars, but I just cannot. The case is absolute garbage. It has only 1 case fan?! The CPU heatsink and fan is junk. Replaced the case and the CPU heatsink/fan with a water cooled unit, and now this thing is rock solid. The components themselves are not bad at all, just...this case and heatsink and fan are the worst I have seen in a long time...sigh...

Should probably come with hearing protection because the fan is so loud. Not that it really helps though because CPU reaches over 80°C while browsing the web. Product should not be considered ready to use as is, because it requires pretty significant modification to make it viable. I rebuilt it in a larger case and got better cooling and now it runs much better. I paid $1300+taxes, September 2022.

Pros: Hard to find hardware at the time of purchase, especially the RTX 3080, but a beast of a machine. Can run basically everything I throw at it. Cons: Cooling is inadequate. The fans would ramp up under moderate load, eventually get overloaded, and reset. Swapping out the case and CPU cooler end up costing more and require some working knowledge

Great system with quality components and one flaw! After rectifying the CPU thermal issue, it works flawlessly! Performance easily exceeds all 3D-modeling, rendering and engineering simulation scenarios while easily facilitating high quality gaming on weekends! :-)
