The case is not the best

STILL Cheaper then trying to find a 3080
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cant find a 3080 with out buying a whole new setup. But this one was well worth it. Everything you need in a gaming pc. Im adding a larger solid state drive and upping the memory ro 32gb but i love this PC for the price.

Great GPU/CPU, Horrible Cooling and Bad Assembly
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box, the rig thankfully powered up without any issues. After suffering through the preliminary Windows 10 registration fiesta, I immediately started looking through connected devices and hardware. Turns out that... 1: Ram stick in the 2nd slot wasn't seated all the way. Thank god it still works and didn't kill that slot on the motherboard. 2: 2TB HDD wasn't being detected. Also wasn't connected properly. Thankfully the boot device was set to the NVMe drive and was a nice surprise as only a SSD was advertised. 3: The CPU was idling at 60c and the tiny heatsink fan was pulling a Thomas the Tank Engine. Seriously, that cooler is bad as everyone has said. Thankfully the CPU is running at ~35c after swapping that out for a vetroo v5 as someone here suggested. 4: The GPU was running surprisingly cool with the side panel off. I ran FurMark at 2160 (4k/UHD) and peaked at 61c with a steady 90fps. Honestly, this COULD be a great gaming setup if ASUS didn't skimp on cooling and whoever put my rig together ate a few less glue sticks in grade school. Definitely check all the connections to the hardware before putting any stress on the system and upgrading the cooling is pretty much required to make this thing usable (unless you live in Antarctica and have your PC cemented inside a glacier, though it might melt through that in a day or two)

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All the parts in this are quite solid, and at this price point it can't be beat with the 3080 that it came with. The case absolutely needs better cooling and it would be worth it to buy a new computer case and CPU cooler.

Quality parts, bad cooling
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No doubt that this is too hot. I think some of this is due to the type of cooling option for the CPU being directly over and trapping air from easy dissipation from the gfx card. You will need to fix the cooling yourself if you want the best performance possible.

Bad deal even with the Nvidia shortage
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many of you considering this computer; I usually built my own but the 3000 outage has left us looking at these prebuilds. Look the other way! Issues galore! My CPU is a lemon with dies 3 and 6 both running very hot. I swapped the CPU cooler with a 360 AIO using Kryo - same issue. I even swapped cases as there is no air flow in this one. I was able to pull the temps down 15-20 but that still puts the idle temp of those cores at 95 C. I even reseated just in case I messed something up - still too hot. Asus wants Best Buy to fix it. Best Buy only has the option to return it.

Too many problems from the start
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had so many connectivity issues when upgrading to Windows 11. Was kinda loud and hot for just running Valorant. Even though it was a great GPU for the price I paid, I didnt want to deal with all the problems for a brand new PC. Returned it.

Overheats and shuts down, dead RTX 3080. Returning
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite possibly the worst prebuilt PC I have ever used in my life. Is Asus even testing these configurations at all before pushing to production? My unit's CPU overheated and breached 100c triggering auto shutdown after about 2 - 3 minutes of use. I couldn't even get past the Windows setup flow! Here is what you need to do, Asus. Hire QA engineers. When some engineer in a closet designs or puts something together you can't just throw it on the market without a single check. At least one person needs to plug it in, and see if they can at least use Windows and open a Google Chrome browser or notepad. Maybe even if you have the time try to play a game or two. This is the process for selling to consumers. After repasting the cooler with arctic silver, the auto shutdowns stopped. However, I started getting black screens across all my 3 monitors about 20 minutes into gameplay. After about 4 or 5 times of this happening, all the display ports on the back of the computer stopped working except for one single Display port. Now Windows is saying the graphics card has stopped and is reporting problems in windows device manager. So the RTX 3080 isn't even working in my computer. This defeats the whole purpose and has proven to be a ginormous waste of my time. I will never be buying another Asus prebuild again. My mistake. Don't let it be yours.

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it is a great PC for the price. Like many others have said, the case sucks, it has no ventilation and not many places to mount further fans. However you can easily swap the parts into a better case and you have yourself an awesome PC for a very fair price point.

Great value with the 3080 but has issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cooling solution for this PC is laughable at best. The fans are always going to be ramping up to cool this CPU down. There are no slots for fan upgrades as well so custom type Jimmy rigging would be required to try abd better aid the cooling flow.

Posted .Dear Bren,
I'm sorry to hear that the unit overheats and is very loud while gaming and I'll be happy to assist. Your computer fan gets loud because of high internal temps caused by 100% disk usage, high RAM usage, dust and dirt in the vents, or lack of airflow. It's normal for your fan to get loud sometimes however if you're hearing noises such as repetitive clicking, very noticeable humming, knocking, or any hard thump we would advise to have the PC looked at. Please send us a message at customerloyalty@asus.com with a brief description of the issue you're having. I'll be happy to provide a quick resolution to your case. Thank you for choosing ASUS!

Solid but has some problems
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good deal for sure, but the singular fan in the back is way too loud. I'll definitely need to upgrade that and the cpu cooler is not the best since the cpu peaks at 100 Celsius which is way to much.

Fast and loud
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast processing and graphics card. The one I bought in 2021 included the GPU that can be used to mine crypto. Case is nice looking, but the fan in the back of the case, is loud. I'm moving the guts into a quieter case.

LOUD
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pc is great and it’s looks impressive but this computer is terrible at dispersing heat. No intake fan and the glass side turn this computer into an oven that you can hear revving up 3 blocks down. Taking off the glass helps but something needs to be done to keep this jet engine cool and quiet.

Good buy for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good parts overall. I tried adding a cooling solution due to the need of better cooling. Ended up moving the parts into another case. With some DIY, could probably made this case work, but did not have the necessarya tools.

Good performance, gets very hot.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.System gets very hot, some games like Destiny 2 can bring it up to the high 80c range. I took the advice of the other people and added a new heat sink and more fans. This did help a bit but it still seems to get extremely hot compared to my last system.
