I’m not going to write a review without stating the obvious - needs more fans. However, if you are like me and just want something to play warzone at 200+ FPS on max settings and don’t care about mining or being a benchmark superhero then this is for you. The fans do get loud at times but it doesn’t last long. My gaming room is always super cold so that may help some with the cooling issues that others have reported. I can honestly say I have had 0 issues with cooling and the computer has never turned off on me.

Definitely CPU fan doesn't work well, its too small. Case box small too, hard to install big cooler 12mm. But I`m spend another 95$ for liquid cooling system 240mm and work perfect. 15500 benchmark.

Expensive. Runs hot. Expandability and cooling is lackluster. At least it uses standard sized components. However the motherboard does not use the standard bios available on the asus website.

This PC works wonderfully. I was concerned about the negative reviews regarding poor thermals, but I bet on it anyway and I’m glad I did. I’m a console gamer so this is strictly a mining rig at this point. I’m getting a 100 MH/s hash rate, the GPU temperature averages at 37 degrees Celsius, and the VRAM temperature averages at 92 degrees Celsius. This is perfect! I took off the front glass panel because it doesn’t dissipate heat. The fan noise is minimal. Considering how expensive GPUs and other components are, you’re getting a lot of value with this product.

I took the motherboard components, PSU, GPU and SSD and put them into a new case that could actually cool the parts. It was still cheaper than buy a 3080 off of ebay.

      Dear Lumpy,

I'm sorry to hear that you had to take the parts from the original case to a new one in order for it cool efficiently. All our products do go through an intensive quality control testing process to ensure that customers get units that are in proper working condition, what you've experienced was not intentional and this was a random case. It is normal for the desktop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load, especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update, and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient airflow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource-hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalize once system resource utilization goes down. If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out to me at customerloyalty@asus.com and provide this link for reference. I'll do my best to provide a quick resolution to your case. Your feedback is important as it helps with improvements to ASUS Support channels.

      Dear DonaldO,

We do understand your concern about the fan noise.

It is normal just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the PC is under heavy load like gaming, especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. . Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. Also, please check the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

Asus parts are great, but the CPU cooling is horrible. The GPU has been flawless, but the MoBo is giving some USB errors. Not sure if this is the MoBo itself or thr fact the CPU rides at 100C!!!!

There are alot of cooling complaints on here so I prepared and ordered other cooling equipment to be teady to replace. After more than a week of constant use I havent had any cooling issues with the fan that came with the unit. All I had to do was keep the glass cover off to have adequate circulation. I was going to get another one but I’m hoping some of the complaints did not ruin that opportunity and restock. some people do not know what an Awesome Deal you have is till its gone. You basically get a complete BEAST for the GPU at current scalper prices.

Literally the worst cooling pc. I bought it for the 3080, which works great. I now have a new power supply, case, cpu cooler and added fans to make this computer run cool. Power supply would trip my gfi in the house every time I turned it on. New power supply fixed that. And false advertisement on the power supply itself. 90 gold rated? Is that even a thing? While sticker on it says 80. Hm. Computer thermal throttled and stayed above 90c with stock cooler and fans sounding like a jet engine. Never in my life have I seen or heard something out of a 2k pc like this. Never again asus.

Great price for the hardware, but same story as everyone else. Absolutely TERRIBLE cooling, under load the 2 TOTAL fans spin at max rpm which is insanely loud. 1 Cpu fan 1 exhaust fan, 0 intake. This is a good buy if you're willing to swap the case and do a transfer

The computer is nice, easy to set up. The only problem is by default, this was running in high performance in the power options. The computer temps were running extremely hot. This was after changing out the heat sink and upgrading the rear fan. There is almost no air flow coming into the front. I found a Youtube video where the user added a power mode where it runs about 90% power. I have my computer running on that and it never gets hot now. Runs great specs, but it's annoying to deal with. Eventually will upgrade the case so i can get better front air flow.

This is a rough one! Received the computer and it was not stable. After a bit of investigation, realized the computer was throwing kernel power failure which was a bummer, but it happens. Then when I looked at the time stamps, I realized ASUS had two kernel power failures at the factor 4 months earlier before shipping out.... This is the poorest quality control I have ever seen! With that said, I returned this product and this searched the internet for a replacement, but nothing was comparable in terms of power and value. I did purchase a replacement system that has been running a 72 hour stress test with no failure. As everyone else mentioned, COOLING IS AN ISSUE!!! I spent an addition $350 on a new case, CPU Cooler, and fans (2x120mm & 2x90mm)
