Right out of the box the CPU was reading 100•c
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box the CPU was reading 100 degrees celsius with being on for 10 mins. Not even running a game… it would be great if that wasn’t the issue. I know these had poor cooling but 100 degrees right out of the box though? Idk. Just returned because it might have been damaged in shipping.

Posted .Dear Sadpcbuyer,
We do understand your concern about thermal issues.
It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

Garbage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor airflow, and factory products are useless beyond repair. Need to replace most parts especially the cooler fan. The only thing good on this is the rtx 3080.

Overheats under normal operation....
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overheats.... Customer support states normal temps of 80F running basic games in my 65F basement. Unless you can put all the parts in a new case. AVOID. They should pull this from market. Components will not last in this hot box....

Works Good if you don't push it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The case has two tiny fans that move very little air, but a CPU and a GPU that create a great deal of heat if you are gaming to the limits and they will throttle. This would be a perfect PC for office use or very limited low end gaming.

Runs hot & requires modification
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.During gaming, the computer runs very hot, with loud fan, and is regularly power limited due to high CPU temp. This PC requires modification to improve thermals if you want to get the full performance out of it. At $1600 sale price it is a bargain - but you will need to modify it in all likelihood.

It's unfortunate to hear that your processor fan is very noisy. This must be frustrating to you, did you encounter this issue from out of the box? Does this happen during full load or even on idle? Have you tried to reset the BIOS? I'm happy to look into this matter with you, feel free to reach out to me at customerloyalty@asus.com and provide this link for reference. Great rig for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading some troubling reviews and not being a super techy person myself, I followed through with the purchases, expecting the system to overheat as mentioned by previous reviews. Two weeks in, I've played Valorant, Counter Strike, Apex, and Warzone and I've had zero issues. I believe that much of the issues might be due to people overclocking, but like I said, I'm no tech wiz and I've had no troubles playing those games on high settings.

Good, but RAM was loose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got one, then it went out of stock. The PC is good, but the RAM was not tight so had to open it up and place it back in correctly. Otherwise, it's got a good graphics card that sells for the price of a whole unit....crazy times...

Asus rog 3080
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The gpu is great, but everything else isn't the best. Sounds like a rocket right after starting the PC. Thermals aren't the worst, but could definitely use some modifcations. Would buy again if the price was the same.

Thermal issues make this a no-go.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like this computer, I really did. At face value, the specs are great. It was one of the few ways to get a 3080 quickly. But at the end of the day, the thermal issues were insurmountable. This computer had no intake fans, and only a small outtake in the back. It would need $200 or more in thermal upgrades that are hard to install due to the small form factor to be a "good" build. It would routinely overheat and shut off. I returned it.

1 out of 3 ok.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a decent machine but we purchased a total of 3 of these machines. First one is great. No issues. The last 2 were problematic and have since been returned back to BB. The issues were: DOA GPU in one unit and the other kept blue-screening and rebooting. Got tired of trying to fix it.
