Dear Valued Customer,
We're sorry to hear about the unfortunate experience you're having with the cooling on this model. Please allow us to make your experiencve with ASUS a better one. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient airflow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource-hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. For more information send us an email at [email protected] and provide the link of this review for reference. We’ll do our best to provide a quick resolution to your case. Dear Valued Customer,
It's unfortunate to hear that the desktop overheats. This is absolutely not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. What is the average temp on idle? Do all the fans work within the unit? For further troubleshooting, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] and provide this link for reference. I'll do my best to provide a quick resolution to your case. Your feedback is important as it helps with improvements to ASUS Support channels.

The customer service is so poor and the desktop is DOA. The graphic card is misplaced. It even missing a battery. They refuse to send a battery bc it is open box item. And refuse to replace it. Only gives me two option 1.bring the heavy desktop go to the nearest best buy store which is 20 miles away to get a battery. may cost me 150+ on ride and a whole day 2. get $25 gc (what battery could I buy with that 25 dollars??), and they are not sure if it will bans me from returning this desktop. I am done with this order, so confused, ask for a missing component is replacement which is unreasonable.

Great 3080 Card & Parts during Pandemic

Purchased this to be used as my wife's non-work computer. She works from home and has a PC workstation via her company, but wanted something for her personal use. As this was during the Pandemic, the 3080 Tuf non-OC was decent and a good find as 30 series cards at a decent price were difficult to come by. And even though the case and preinstalled fans were not ideal for airflow it was easy to upgrade to a bigger and better case for airflow with better fans. Kept the Greatwall Semi Mod 750W Gold PSU, 11700KF CPU, and Mobo but also upgraded the ram and M.2. So we ended up spending a bit more $$ for upgrades, but it was well worth it. It runs sweet, cool, and quiet for her needs, and has had no issues whatsoever for almost 2 years since.

pluses:
1) powerful CPU and GPU
2) price
3) nice case
minuses:
1) slow and little volume of ram - need to upgrade 0.5-1k bucks
2) as all said it has a weak cooling system, need to upgrade before using for sure! 0.15k bucks. I chose Corsair h100i and could recommend it for all. after installing noise dropped to permissible limit but I can't say it comfortable during maximum load. also be noted that installation not easy, you need to be a careful and have patience within minimum 2 hours for installation if u have experience of installing AIO, or more otherwise, or give it to skilled guy to be avoided from MB damage. But after all "dancing with a tambourine" GPU temp is reduced from 150 to 140 F and CPU was not higher than 140 F in all stress tests without OC.
summary:
if u enthusiast and ready to work with cooling and ram u'll get a great machine, with top level performance. if u r expecting to use it from the box without modification I highly recommend chose another desktop. give it 5 stars cause I knew what I purchased and my expectation was satisfied.

Things I liked:
Reasonably priced 3080 build
Asus 3080 Tuf edition is a decent card
SSD and HDD
Gold PSU (750W) included extra periph/8-pin cables.
Ram is bare pcb, but 3200MHZ. Fine.
CPU cooler beefier than pictured - reminds me of a 212 evo.
Comes with a USB-C extension cord
Aura sync between GPU, Case and Case LED strip
Things I disliked:
B series mobo means you can't overclock the K CPU. So why include a K variant? (Strix B560-G Gaming with wifi)
Only one small rear outtake fan, and no intake fans installed. I'm running it without sidepanel until I get some more fans.
Actually needed to install the ugly antenna to connect to one of my two networks.

I'm going to level with you, I got this machine to play the new expansion for a certain "critically acclaimed MMO with a free-trial up to level 60" on max specs, and I knew that this pre-built was going to take some work to make it fully functional. I am not a computer expert, just a novice willing to watch enough youtube videos to get this machine running; so bear that in mind while reading this review.
Going on the recommendation of another reviewer I ordered a Vetroo V5 to replace the stock CPU fan (which is legitimately as terrible as the other reviewers have described). I downloaded a generic app that monitors temp and did some testing. I did not trust the stock fan enough to leave it in the unit so I installed the Vetroo, and I found that while it did enable the PC to run for about an hour while gaming, it was getting far too hot to be a permanent solution (and it did shut itself down after 1.5hrs to prevent overheating). I decided to just order an ROG Strix liquid cooler and cannibalized the 120mm fan from the Vetroo to support positive pressure in the case. For any others considering this machine just know that:
- It really is a beast of a machine. The amount of power in this pre-built exceeded my expectations, and the RTX3080 lives up to the hype.
- I don't know why I was surprised by how much upfront cost it required. Be prepared to invest an additional $300+ at least in cooling, to get it to where it can run safely.
- The case is not ideal, but it's workable. Yes it does have room for liquid cooling and yes you can install several fans. If you don't have much previous experience (like me), you can google "positive vs negative case pressure" to find out what placement would work best for the airflow of your particular environment.
I previously had the ASUS ROG G751JT and all in all I am happy I made the switch. Was I frustrated getting this thing set up? Yes. But I feel like taking the extra time with it is going to make it last. I think the negative reviews on this PC are from people that truly did not know what they were getting into and were expecting a gaming ready system out of the box. But with all of the 3080 scalping right now, if this were truly a flawless pre-built it would be permanently sold out - so roll your sleeves up and dive in, if this little lady can makes this desktop work than so can you!

Amazing PC, room for upgrades

Amazing starter PC. with an Intel I7 processor and a RTX 3080 graphics card you will be set for a while and not have to worry about expensive upgrades. This rig is good to go from purchase for mid to low high tier gaming. However, if you want to boost its capabilities, I do recommend making some changes. Firstly, 100% re-case it. The case that it comes with has terrible airflow. It may look like it has ventilation ports on the sides, but these are just for show there are no intake fans to bring any air in from there. there’s also only one outtake fan on the back, so the stock case is all in all a heat trap. this is not a huge deal, though as you can get some pretty inexpensive cases that will be a hell of an upgrade from manufacture, such as NZXT that will have multiple intake and outtake fans. Second invest in an AIO liquid cooler this is not necessary however, it is a game changer in bringing down your systems heat the CPU cooler that comes with this PC is a non-liquid radiator fan that is loud and noisy and I have not regretted replacing it. Another upgrade to consider is increasing ram size and maybe installing a second NVMESSD4 games as the one that comes with the system will be used for booting and quickly becomes full from system files. I know this review sounds a bit negative but please do not be put off if you are someone who does not know or have the time to build your own PC this is hands-down, one of the best pre-builds at consumer pricing.
