Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the excellent performance and powerful components of the ROG Gaming Desktop, particularly praising the GPU and RAM. Many appreciate the reasonable price point, but some users mention that the cooling system could be improved and that the included keyboard and mouse are basic. The power supply's capacity is also a concern for some buyers. While the case's design is noted, some find it difficult to upgrade.

Perfect for 1080P Gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pre-built Asus pc is perfect for gaming at 1080p with high/ultra settings. It runs everything I've tried at 60+ FPS at "Ultra" settings. It runs just as well if not better that my 4 year old custom built PC running an i7 8700K OC'd to 5GHz, and an overclocked GTX 1080. This machine is running at stock settings and is on par. I'm very impressed with the RTX 3060. I wasn't expecting the amount of performance this card is capable of. But, with pre-built pc's, there are things that just make you say why? For example, the mouse and keyboard are OK for setting up the pc for the first time, but if you are any type of a gamer, you'll need to replace those immediately. Another major issue I have is that the stock CPU cooler is simply not up to the task of keeping the i7 12700F cool enough to keep it from thermal throttling. Luckily I was able to stick a dual radiator AIO water cooler into the case and dramatically reduced temperatures by over 40C, and no longer do I run into throttling issues. I wish they would have not included the mouse and keyboard and upgraded the CPU cooler. That would of made more sense. The motherboard is the MATX form factor, but there is room in the case and is provisioned for an ATX if or when you wanted to upgrade. I also ran into a weird issue with Windows 11 which there was constant high CPU usage issue. Resetting Windows took care of it, but I was disappointed to have to reinstall everything again. Another weird issue I found is that the bios was power throttling my CPU. Luckily you able to make adjustments to bypass them, but had me feeling like they should have this setup correctly from the factory. Maybe the next bios update will correct this. Also the channel 1 fan header was not working on my system. It would power up on boot and then just stop. Switching the fan to the channel 2 header solved the issue. Overall I'm impressed with the the performance of this system, but would highly recommend upgrading the CPU cooler and mouse and keyboard. Likes: 1.) Great for 1080p gaming 2.) Room in case for a dual radiator AIO liquid cooler if you're creative 3.) RGB lighting Dislikes: 1.) Mouse and keyboard are junk 2.) Stock cooler not up to the task and is loud 3.) Channel 1 fan header not working

Don't think there's anything this can't handle!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS GT15CF-I73060VR Gaming Desktop is a very nice system! The design of the case, from the available LED lighting, to the clear-view side of the case is very sleek. It does have a handle on top, for "easier" portability. On the top-front, there is one USB-A and one USB-C, along with headphone and mic inputs. It also has a nice little fold-out headset hanger. The Intel Core i7-12700F CPU, with 12 cores/20 logical cores, should have plenty of power to take on any game. The only surprise was the cooling system, which is just typical fan/heatsink. While it should be fine enough, will be keeping an eye on things when the game processing gets intense. It comes with 16GB of DDR4 3200 MHz Long DIMM RAM. There are still a couple of slots available for a memory upgrade, if desired. For storage, it come with a 512GB NVMe system drive (which is very fast) along with a 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive. Unfortunately, there isn't any additional 3.5" or 2.5" mounting/slots to install any more drives. Seems if needing to add more internal storage, would need to get a PCIe adapter (SATA - with 2.5" mount(s) - or NVMe to go in the only extra PCIe slot) or a PCI Slot mounting bracket. On the video adapter side, the GeForce RTX 3060, with 12GB GDDR6 video RAM, has 1 HDMI and 3 Display Port outputs. All the games I tried worked flawlessly on my 27" QHD monitor with all the video details settings turned up all the way. Even with playing on our 65" 4K TV with FreeSync Premium (and G-SYNC turned on), everything played very smoothly running at 4K resolution, HDR turned on and setting the refresh rate at 120Hz. This is Wi-Fi 6 capable, and includes an external antenna that sits on top of the desk (or wherever gets the best signal). Armory Crate app is used for ASUS - related system updates, Performance Customizations & LED customizations. Since I'm not the biggest fan of the LED lighting, I will set it at with a steady color. Comparing the benchmarks to my older gaming system, this is definitely a decent step up (although, that one only has an i5 CPU, but does have a Nvidia RTX 2070, which still performs pretty close to the RTX 3060). The only downside currently is that since it has Windows 11 install, the software that configure my older (but still functional) joystick will not run. Overall, I definitely feel it is a capable gaming system!

Excellent gaming PC
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Asus Gaming PC runs graphically intensive games very easily. Open out of the box and the settings were perfectly aligned with the intensity needed for gaming. There was NO lag during any of the games played. Many hours of play went into pushing ASUS to the limit. It did not disappoint and kept up as expected. An excellent Gaming PC in a smaller package with a lot of ports makes this an excellent choice for someone warming up to their next level of gaming or for even an advanced player. Don’t be afraid to change some of the setting to feel what the differences can be, so long as it has a default setting, you can’t mess things up. You can always fix settings to personalize to your liking/needs by first looking at Videos on the topic. Every gamer has different wants/needs and a gaming PC like this one should fit. Setting up the PC was easy. The temperature of the computer can be seen on a default app preinstalled on computer. Using the same app, you can change the colors displayed on the computer to an array of assorted colors. The keyboard that came with the PC was a standard keyboard and not specifically a gaming one. I chose to use a gaming keyboard and a gaming mouse. The PC comes with a handle on top front to easily pick up and carry. The size of the PC is very convenient to accomodate most spaces. On the top front of the PC there's a USB and mico USB. The micro USB allows for quicker charging. Also on the top are the headphone and microphone slots. In the back of the PC there's an HDMI port and THREE Display ports. There are SEVEN USB ports in the back of the PC and one USB 3 port. On the back there's also an additional input for mic and headphone. Another great feature is the Wifi ready capability, for those who can't be hardwired to the internet. I would recommend this Gaming PC.

Good PC if you dont mind changing the power supply
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not get me wrong, this PC is an absolute beast and will run anything you throw at it perfectly fine on the settings you want. the only downside to it is the power supply is not enough for the beefy components inside. i purchased this PC on black friday and was stoked but noticed the fans not running properly. it came stock with a 500W power supply and it is simply not enough. i scrapped my old PC and used its 750W power supply and all my issues were fixed. fans run properly and no thermal issues anymore. other than that absolute beast of a computer.

a mixed bag
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.good - current gen i7 - relatively snappy, supports Windows 11 and typical workloads with no problem. Similar performance numbers to the Apple M1 Pro chip, which is to say very good. - RTX 3060 GPU - Again, a strong choice for GPU. Current gen, good FPS. My testing put it just below an RTX 2080, which was NVIDIA's second most powerful GPU a generation ago. Very solid. - compact design, handle on top bad - 16GB memory - This is somewhat low for a Windows machine, which is not as efficient as a Mac in its memory usage. It's enough for typical gaming, but at higher workloads memory may be an issue. It is upgradable however, with 4 total slots available. - 512GB M.2 drive, 1TB HDD, no second nvme slot - The intention here is likely to keep games on the "data" drive, a spinning hard drive, which is relatively slow compared to the M.2 drive, which is quite fast. You'll certainly lose a few FPS by doing this, and at this price point I would expect at least 1 TB. - price - The current price is a bit high, in my opinion, for what you're getting here. The CPU and GPU are very solid, but the rest of the components are certainly budget minded. - relatively small internal CPU heat sink and fan, one large fan for the GPU. Components may run hotter than they should, but fans will certainly run at higher RPM (read: noise) than they would otherwise. misc - "gamer" RGB - For those interested, there is a bit of RGB lighting, a stripe on the front and some internally visible through the side panel glass/plastic. - very little space for upgrades - comes with Windows 11 home (not pro - no remote desktop functionality) overall Overall it's not a bad machine, certainly some strong points with the CPU and the GPU. At its current price point I feel it's just a tad under performing with the other components though. It's a solid, if not great value at the current price. 3 stars. For anyone interested, benchmark scores: Geekbench CPU - single core 1769/ multiple core 11014 Geekbench Compute - 97181 Cyrstal Disk Mark M.2 - read 6000+MB/s / write 5000+ MB/s Crystal Disk Mark HDD - read 207MB/s / write 197MB/s
