Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the excellent performance and powerful components of the ROG Gaming Desktop, particularly praising the GPU and RAM. Many appreciate the reasonable price point, but some users mention that the cooling system could be improved and that the included keyboard and mouse are basic. The power supply's capacity is also a concern for some buyers. While the case's design is noted, some find it difficult to upgrade.

Great PC. I can play many high end games without issue. No lag, no crashes, strong choice for a right out of the box gaming experience. Price is well worth a reliable product.

I'm very happy with this PC. But my only complaint is that the power button is super sensitive. My setup requires me to keep the tower on my floor and on multiple occasions I've accidentally brushed past the button with my leg causing the computer to shut down. I tried disabling the power button under power settings in windows but that didn't work. My plan now is to put something physically over the button so this won't happen. But for my 2 cents the button is in a bad spot and is too sensitive. It's very situational but also very annoying.

This is a very nicely equipped gaming desktop. With very fast DDR4 3200 8GB x 2 memory, Intel 12th Gen Core I7 - 12700F CPU, and Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, it can handle any game. Storage is 1 TB HDD plus 500 GB SSD. It has the latest Wi-Fi connectivity Wi-fi 6 and includes external Wi-Fi antennas which should help eliminate dropped or spotty connections. Also has an ethernet port which is better for gaming than Wi-Fi. Includes HDMI port for monitor, no VGA, 8 USB A ports, 2 USB C ports, and sound ports for up to 7.1 surround sound. It is not equipped with an optical disc drive, so if you have CDs or DVDs you want to play on a computer, this is not the one for you. The case is very nice looking with flashing LEDs in a rainbow of colors down the front and through a clear glass side panel. It also has a carrying handle making it easy to move around it you need to. Although the description of the unit says no mouse or keyboard, mine came with both, but Asus shouldn't have bothered including them. They are the same cheap keyboard and mouse that come with a budget PC. Buy a nice gaming keyboard and mouse and keep the included ones as backup. The PC comes preloaded with 64 bit Windows 11 and Asus Armoury Crate, a gamer's program that shows the status of the GPU, CPU, Fan, and Memory; allows for customizing the lighting effects with Aura Sync, has a Gaming Library showing installed games; and includes Performance Mode Options - Windows, Performance, Turbo, Manual. Turbo mode should be used for gaming, it maximizes power to the CPU, GPU, and fans. Now as to actual performance, I'm an MMO (massive multi-player online) gamer and my favorite is War Thunder. It loads quickly and plays smoothly on my 1080p monitor with no problems whatsoever, and my 5.1 surround sound sounded awesome! I've read some reviews of similar Asus gaming desktops that mention overheating but I had no problems. I played full on non-stop 90 minutes straight while monitoring the temperature in the Armoury Crate program. It never came close to overheating. Maybe the case has been redesigned for improved air flow. There's plenty of venting all around the case. Bottom line is this is a great desktop gaming PC for the casual gamer, reasonably priced for the high-end components it's equipped with. For serious gamers or if you want to play on a 4K monitor you might want to consider the model with the RTX 3080 GPU and 2 TB HDD (but much higher price tag).

After considerable research and patient guidance by a very pleasant and most knowledgeable sales representative I selected this gaming best to best meet my requirements of greater speed and more storage for my extensive photography. While I spent more than I have spent before it has been a good investment as the response time on every command is very fast...no more frustrating delays just waiting for Photoshop or Lightroom to open or for a "not responding" message to disappear. Many thanks to RJ and the Best Buy team.

Even after upgrading to 64GB of DDR4 Ram it takes minutes to open one small folder in File Explorer, even with system fully optimized and no apps in background or startup. Not a gamer so can't say how this is for gaming, but if you want any type of standard desktop use, this is definitely not the one you want.

I’ve been using this rig for a few days now and I’m mostly happy. I have a few gripes with it. Mine came with an HDMI slot at the top of the PCiE board that doesn’t work at all. And why God oh God would you make the 512 gb SSD the PRIMARY drive. Most of the games I play are off of Steam. That requires them to be on the primary drive. Out of 512 gb, I only have 147 gb of space left on it.
