I was kinda mad at the battery life but the usb c charging makes up for it for when I juts need a little more battery life. The gaming is amazing as I play fortnite at epic settings at 60 fps. While the fans do get loud it is fine with me because if the components of this were in a pc that pc would have around 6 fans. This is a great laptop and I would definitely recommend.

It has pretty much everything that is mentioned in the product description. Only thing is that the CPU gets a little hot on prolonged heavy use but that's the case for basically all laptops. The best solution (which worked well for me as well) is to prop it up so there is more airflow underneath (where there are intake air vents). One thing to note is that for some reason there is a magnetic field near the trackpad, which you can observe if you take a thin piece of metal string (You can test this with the metal string you get when you buy bread from most grocers) and hold it at the bottom left and right ends of the trackpad. Not sure what this is supposed to mean or if it can affect the performance/build of the machine....

I purchased this laptop on sale on August, with the intention of using it for something to do while traveling for work. The hardware specs are theoretically more than enough for what i needed it for, and the price was right. This unit has some issues. The fans inside sound like they are rubbing on something causing a loud noise. The keyboard lighting settings is not reliable and randomly switches. The monitor shows very bad tearing when playing games of videos. The Monitor fps is very bad and using intel monitoring software the cpu is tdp throttling at 90*c with fans maxed out. Has numerous issues runs very hot overall performance not quite as expected monitor backlighting is blotchy in areas, only really noticeable on black or dark pictures

My desk space is limited. An older 17” gamer just didn’t work out well. The 15” Asus fits great. It does a great job on my games which include skyrim and grim dawn. The blower is a little noisy but not overly so. Love the 1 Tera bit SSD. Initial boot up is really fast. I bought an open box which saved some $. No problems. Had it about a month and I would recommend it.

It’s pretty crazy to me that I was able to replace my desktop PC with a laptop that plays almost every game on the highest settings without breaking a sweat. No problems or anything out of the box, the most annoying thing is disabling all the extra garbage windows 10 comes with. The hardware and everything else is great!

there is so much wrong with the pc, It's kind of a hit-or-miss type of situation. ASUS, I loved this device when it was able to perform great, I thought, money well spent. But no, I've had nothing but issues with it right after the manufacturer's warranty ended. thermals go up to 95 degrees and the laptop can't handle it. I have framerate drops in every game I play, every 5-10 minutes, an issue that I saw many people complaining about. all the firmware and drivers are updated to the latest version as I've already spoken with support. they now want me to pay to send it out for "repair", which is too expensive and would take way too much time as I have classes I need my computer for. the battery went down from 100% to 51% in less than 30 minutes, I couldn't even get a full class out of it. If I don't get some sort of resolution, I'll just be done with Asus and their products. It's something that I'd hate to do.

Wonderful Machine Ruined by Poor Quality Control

    - 1st returned for multiple hot pixels. - 2nd returned for uneven back-light bleed. - 3rd returned for worse uneven back-light bleed. - 4th sounds like the GPU fan is already exhibiting sounds of a failed bearing after a few days (a gentle and continuous cricket chirping, isolated to the GPU fan - it's not coil whine). This is unfortunate for what would otherwise be a great laptop. You'd think the price tag on this thing would afford Asus the opportunity to be more selective of the units that make it out the door. The software also isn't really fully realized right now and buggy. - Per key lighting causes some keys to be half lit (consistent bug across all four laptops). - You can manually set a range for the fan speed, but it'll always max out to the top end of the range. Fan curves might be implemented in the future, but it's unclear if that would even be made available for this laptop. - Overclocking the GPU with Asus GPU Tweak works, but only with the specific version that can't be found anywhere except through the Armoury Crate software. The day Asus updates that repository to distribute the latest version of GPU Tweak will be the day GPU Tweak no longer works on this laptop.

Great laptop bought it for everyday use and as a backup gaming pc so far after a year still runs like new. Though on a side note(not asus fault) the intel i7 9th gen isnt the greatest i should of gone i9 for the boost but thats all on intel. But it runs halo mcc like a champ.

My wife has wanted to replace her desktop and still be able to play games. For the games she plays and programs its worked perfectly! I will however tell you the only con I know of and that is the fan on heavy loads. They are a bit noisy but in the form factor these days I'd guess that is kinda the norm.

For it's price this is a good starting gaming laptop, but there are a few things that leave you wanting more. First the display isn't the greatest granted at this price point I wasn't expecting too much. But this thing runs hot! To play comfortably you will be running fans at full speed and even then there is tearing and frame rate drop. You wont be getting a webcam (which is honestly a good thing) but the build isn't that great, I would honestly recommend to sped a bit more and get the AMD 14" version.

From day 1 the fans were really loud on this laptop. Silent mode wasn't too bad, but anything higher than that it feels a bit obnoxious. Now that I've had it just over a month one of the fans started making an odd noise. Almost like it's bumping into something. It'd be different if this happened maybe a year or two down the line... but this is a brand new laptop and I'm already having issues with the fans. Going to see if they can send it in and get it fixed. Will update hopefully in the future.

The overall experience is good. Light weight and high quality display screen. However, the 16g Ram is in low latency because of single channel. Highly recommend upgrade ram to 32g dual channel. Another thing is thermal. Even if the cpu didn’t get throttle but you can definitely feel the laptop is in struggle to cool down when you play 3A game like Battlefield in high setting.

I actually returned this shortly after buying it as I didn't do my research. I needed a laptop with 8GB of gaming memory and I believe this only had 6. It did perform well but noticed frame rate issue in high intense situations while playing Sea of Thieves on Ultra graphic settings.

I've been playing Ark Survival Evolved, Civilizations VI, Witcher 3 with mods, SWTOR all with high settings. I've been very satisfied. I even recommended this one already to a buddy of mine. Very happy with this purchase.
