Wanted a compact laptop as a convenient alternative to my desktop PC and this fit the bill. It's fast and easy to use.

It does everything I want it to. It is quick, good for playing games and the keys light up for playing in the dark.

Excellent laptop, runs almost every game at high settings with very consistent fps, would highly recommend.

Laptop is great for running adobe products which is why I got it. Has a really pretty keyboard also. Really a big fan of asus.

The hardware is, for the most part, exceptional. The display is beautiful and responsive. The keyboard is well laid out and feels amazing for typing. Having two fn keys is a nice touch. When it's firing on all cylinders, this laptop performs very well. I was seeing well over 100 fps with high graphics settings in games such as DOOM 2016 and Forza Motorsport 7. Even the extremely demanding Quake II RTX was playable with ray tracing effects enabled. The included 230W AC adapter is not as bulky as other gaming laptops, and you can easily expand the storage with a second M.2 NVMe SSD. A couple of more questionable design decisions surround the RAM and wireless card. The former's included 16 GB is soldered to the motherboard and only runs in single-channel mode, which effectively cuts available bandwidth to the CPU in half. Most users likely won't notice, but this can have an adverse impact on performance. There is an open socket to add a single stick of memory, so you can upgrade to dual-channel support by picking up a second 16 GB module. They're not terribly expensive, but it is an added cost to get maximum performance. Regarding the WiFi adapter, it too is soldered to the board. It's an Intel 9560, which is a good module, but it doesn't support the latest WiFi 6 standard so if you wanted to upgrade, you would need to use an external dongle. This particular aspect of the laptop is especially infuriating because the unit in the cheaper, less powerful Asus GA502DU can be easily changed. What unfortunately killed this laptop's appeal for me was the horrendous software. 90% of the blame lies with Armoury Crate, which you can think of as Asus' answer to Razer Synapse, but nowhere near as polished. The power profiles range from buggy to completely non-functional. The keyboard fn layer would sometimes not work at all. The segment of the software that allows you to set application-specific profiles was all but useless. Clean OS installs did not alleviate these issues, and the process introduced a new set of woes regarding the Intel Optane module. Only after much trial and error was I able to get that part of the system operational. Even at a heavy discount, this is not a laptop I can recommend.

Overall was a great purchase for the price I paid (being that it was an open box). The only bummer was I had to fix startup config in the bios since I kept getting a weird error in regards to missing ssd. But I was able to fix that. The next con is the 144hz screen but there's no g-sync feature with the 2060 on this system, which does not take full advantage of this panel. Final thoughts: if it wasn't for the price being as low as it was, I would have never purchased this laptop, knowing the CONS this system came with. But the price that was put on this open item, made it a steal. Pros - Price was cheap being an open box - Laptop looks nice Cons - Geeksquad did not correct the error for SSD - Not taking advantage of the screen panel 144hz - No Gsync

Overall the laptop is very quiet and very quick. Setup is straight forward and you’ll be able to use it in no time.

I love this machine for what I bought it for. I wanted something that could handle some VMs and this does the trick!

With a simple ram stick upgrade is a very good pc for the price I paid. If there are any left Id snap them up

Fast for the money. Does all that I need. Took a while to become accustomed to smaller screen that last laptop.

games dosen't lags anywhere in between i tried gears 5 nfs call of duty every game just run fine without any lag

Love my Asus ROG. Only issue I have is that after a year the keys on the keyboard and worn so 11 letters you cannot see what letter they are but I type without looking. For someone who needs to look at the keyboard this may be a huge con

This is the sickest gaming laptop I’ve ever owned. The feel of the keys is amazing. I handed no complaints.

Through it is qualified or gaming . It perfectly works for VR environment . The only downside is the missing camera .

Good starting point for any gamer and for engineering applications such as CAD software and simulation applications.

Boot time is amazing, loads full OS in less than 30 seconds. Graphics is incredible even with two monitors.
