Definitely worth the purchase!

Fan is very loud and we updated to the max. We attached the Oculus rift and gameplay is slow laggy and cannot properly function without keeping the charger plugged in. Deffenetly returning.

We're sorry to hear about the issue you you're having with the speed on this model. Please allow us to make your experience with ASUS a better one. There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates. Multiple restarts are recommended to ensure all updates are fully installed.
We would also advise that you perform a Bios reset inorder to assist with the fan loud fan noise.
a) Please turn off the system, if it is currently powered on.
b) Once powered off, please turn on back the system and start tapping the F2 key which is located on the top of the keyboard.
c) Once you are in the bios, press the F9 key to load optimized defaults and press
enter; then press F10 to save and exit.

Great Computer for streaming and gaming

I love the graphics on it and overall appearance of the laptop.

The screen is not bright enough to game outside but safe to play in a closed environment. The keyboard heats up hot to the point I do not want to type as much. Overall the laptop is good in all around.

Are these high temperatures only when gaming, or also when browsing the internet and other light computing? What kind of temperatures are you seeing? You can adjust your fan speeds manually by installing Armoury Crate, located here https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-Zephyrus-M-GU502/HelpDesk_Download/. Once installed, adjust your fan curves and you should see reduced temperatures across the board.
