Worked great for about a year. Now random parts are deciding they don't exist until I do a hard restart. So far both the keyboard and the screen have done this, and I'm just waiting for other parts. Having run across other conversations since these problems started, I have come to the conclusion that I will not be purchasing an ASUS again. Their system is too buggy, and I need a reliable computer.

Better than expected with high FPS without upgrading at all.

Never bought a gaming laptop before, so I can't compare it to others. Overall quite satisfied though. Build quality seems excellent. Sturdy and barely any flex. Somewhat of a fingerprint magnet . The track pad kind of stinks, but isn't the worst I've used. The screen itself seems to be decent as well. For me it was bright/colorful and the 144hz/3ms response is as advertised. A little bit of that IPS glow, but not overwhelming like on some desktop monitors. Keyboard is solid and the back lighting is well done. It doesn't shine through the edges like I've seen on some other laptops. Performance is good so far. Scored around 15000 in 3D Mark Firestrike. Played a few games like Doom and Witcher 3 without any hitches even on max settings. I've yet to try any ray tracing capable games though. CPU Temps seem to hover around 45 (Celsius) while idling to mid-high 80s when under load. Haven't seen it get into the 90s so that's good. GPU temps are reasonable too. Anywhere between 35 idling to 78 under load. Speaking of temps, fans are pretty loud, but from what I've read, this is standard for laptops of these sort. I use headphones when I can anyways. You can set the mode to silent if you're just doing basic browsing/watching videos/etc. It's relatively quiet in that mode, but performance will suffer. One issue I had was with the sound drivers. Kept having the sound cutting out, but I think I resolved this by reinstalling the drivers. Also used the Microsoft drivers instead of the Realtek ones. Fingers crossed it continues without problems. Couple additional notes... I did buy this on sale so it might impact my overall expectations/satisfaction. I also added a second 16GB ram stick to have it run in true dual channel mode. Otherwise it just comes with a single 16GB module running in single channel.

I bought three that all blue-screened within the first week (one was within two). Overall miserable quality control with super loud fans. Would not recommend to anyone and I am not to plug other products much but I bought a MSI that worked flawlessly after. The price for this was great in comparison but I very obviously paid for what I got which was not good and ate a ton of time
