    Good for gaming, bad for text

    Good if you don't care about text clarity. Would not recommend if you are a writer or programmer. Text in Windows is difficult to look at, and has caused me eye strain when using this monitor.

    I just couldn’t justify this $700 monitor over my used $120 acer from 2019. Either I want able to set it up right but it just looked really dark and I was having scaling issues. Maybe it was me I’m not sure. It’s beautiful and the screen is very thin but I just didn’t see the value in paying $700 for it. I took it back and kept my old acer.

    Beware! Dead Pixels and Burn in after a month!

    Screen had tons of dead pixels and screen burn-in after just a month and a half, despite we only using it with my PS5 and always turning my screen of when not in use. Then I took the monitor to Best Buy, and they said the warranty didn't cover this. I wasted over 600 hundred dollars on this machine. Shame on ASUS and shame on Best Buy for selling this overpriced junk.

      We certainly understand your disappointment with this monitor and the inconvenience this may have caused if there are dead pixels and screen burn-in on the monitor after a month and a half of usage. ASUS is an ISO certified company, and as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free, this is a random problem. ASUS provides warranty coverage for the product. We recommend you send the product in for service so this may be resolved immediately. An RMA number is required to send it in for service.     After a month of using the monitor. There was a significant amount of image retention. Monitor was almost made perfect.

    Amazing jump from an IPS. OLED is real

    This ASUS ROG Strix gaming monitor is amazing. The picture is super clear and colorful because of the OLED screen and HDR. Games look smooth and fast with the 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time. It works great with FreeSync Premium, so there’s no screen tearing. The design is sleek and looks cool on any desk. If you love gaming, this monitor is totally worth it!
