With recent monitors, including gaming monitors, adapting OLED technology, screen images, colors, blacks, whites, and overall accuracy is officially at another level. The ASUS - ROG Strix 27" 2K OLED Gaming Monitor excels in all of these features. The design, and look of the monitor is welcome on my desk. The on-screen adjustments are easy to navigate. The screen is absolutely gorgeous to look at for both gaming, and movies. The only fault lies in the resolution for text. 2560x1440 is simply not enough resolution to feast your eyes with razor sharp text. If you are going to be primarily using this model for gaming and movies only, you will be satisfied. If you want to use it for everything, including daily work, web browsing, or photo and video editing, you would be wise to choose the 32” model that offers full 3840x2160 4K resolution. Not only will the text be super sharp, which seems to be something I can’t live without these days, but the extra real estate (resolution) will go a long way for those that mix work and play.
I tried several Xbox Live games ranging from platformers, to racing games, and even some DOOM. The color accuracy and response time is as advertised. This monitor looks really nice in game. With third generation OLED and a 280Hz refresh rate, plus 10 bit color, your eyes will be rewarded with a deeply colorful, and rich gaming experience. With OLED being self emissive, you can easily see the difference in the colors, as well as the blacks and whites. In a nutshell, each pixel displays its own color rendition perfectly, and the response time is almost immediate, making OLED gaming the new standard, whether you are using a PC, or a gaming console. Unlike older LED type monitors, when the OLED pixel is supposed to be black, it simply shuts itself off, and isn’t backlit, making the blacks truly black. Once you see the contrast, and clarity, as well as the speed OLED monitors can provide, you will be sold. While OLED is far superior to older style panels, there are still a few tradeoffs to consider. With newer OLED technology, there is always a risk of burn in. If you play games that have a static HUD on screen at all times, you may want to consider shorter gaming sessions to minimize the risk. One other thing to note is that OLED monitors tend to be just a tad less bright, but for a gaming monitor, that isn’t a very big deal, and something that will put less stress on your eyes anyway.
Other noteworthy features that this line of monitors includes starts with the excellent “Neo Proximity Sensor” which is customizable, and automatically turns the screen off when you step away. This is a great feature that will undoubtedly give the monitor an extended life span and save you from accidental burn in, if for instance, you disabled your sleep or screensaver setting and the monitor stays on all night. I have had this happen to me personally! ASUS also includes two features called Pixel Cleaning, and Screen Move. After looking those features up, it basically means the monitor will recalibrate itself when it is idle, as well as shift pixels to further mitigate burn in possibilities. It seems that ASUS has done everything they can to keep these monitors running at peak performance while also considering longevity, and I truly appreciate that.
I highly recommend downloading the ASUS Display Widget Center. It is an optional app that opens up the functionality of the ROG Strix display (see my screenshot). With this app, you can adjust every detail of the monitor, create and save custom profiles for different games, or tasks, and even update the firmware. One of the coolest things about this app is that it works with, and saves your settings directly to the monitor itself.
The ports on this monitor are very minimal, and only include a single HDMI, and Display Port, as well as one 15W USB-C port. One thing to note, and a strange one at that, is that ASUS provides you with a zipper pouch that includes the power cable, and a Display Port cable, but no HDMI cable, or USB-C cable were included with mine. Keep that in mind if advance.
**** PROS ****
Excellent clarity and 10 bit color rendition, including blacks and whites
Very fast with extremely low motion blur
Fully customizable with the ASUS Display Widget Center
Neo Proximity Sensor
Vesa mount compatible
90 degree tilt on stand
**** CONS ****
Not sharp enough text for everyday use
No HDMI or USB-C cable included

The Asus ROG Strix 27" OLED 280Hz gaming monitor is one of the latest premium, QD-OLED monitors within the Strix lineup. Offering 1440p resolution, blazing fast response time and refresh rates, and stunning colors, among a host of additional gaming features that ASUS has been known for. After using this monitor for a couple weeks, in a variety of conditions, it is clear that the QD-OLED technology has many benefits and is now my favorite monitor I have used.
In the Box:
- Monitor
- Stand (Height, Tilt, Swivel, and Pivot)
- Vesa Mount Kit
- Displayport Cable
- Power Cable
- Quick Start Manual/Warranty Info
- Cleaning Cloth
Setup:
Installing the monitor onto the stand is very easy. There is a base plate that has a retained screw which can be turned by hand. Simply place the stand on the base and tighten the screw. The monitor will then tilt and clip onto the stand. If you’re upgrading from a previous ASUS or another brand of monitor, you may be able to reuse some of the power and/or display cables that your current monitor has. Just be sure that the DisplayPort cable you're using is at least 1.4 and the HDMI is 2.1 or higher to ensure proper data passthrough. It’s nice to see this monitor has three different display connections available: DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB-C.
While I was setting up the monitor and connecting it to my ASUS ROG laptop, I had some difficulties getting the screen to extend the display properly. My preferred connection type is DisplayPort through a USB-C hub. The fix was installing the DisplayWidget Center app onto my computer and updating the software for the monitor. It was a hiccup that I was not expecting but once everything was set up, it has been smooth sailing.
Usage:
If you’ve never had an OLED monitor, the immediate reaction you might have is… WOW. I have experienced OLED TV’s over the past couple years (I have never owned one) but to have a QD-OLED display 2 feet in front of your face is breathtaking. This is especially true when you are watching high res content with HDR enabled. The blacks and inky and the colors are bright, vivid, and high in saturation. The monitor features several modes you can toggle through using the menu and controls on the backside or the DisplayWidget Center that I mentioned above.
When it comes to gaming, the experience is simply the best I have ever experienced. This is the highest refresh rate monitor I have used which has its own benefits but when combined with the OLED technology, it's truly an experience. I am not a competitive gamer but if I was, I am sure this monitor would be well suited for the 27” size. If you’re looking for more screen real estate, the good news is ASUS offers this in several sizes.
One of my least favorite items is the “Pixel Cleaning” reminder that pops up in the lower right corner. This can be turned off completely or set to a certain amount of hours that the monitor has been turned on. I understand this is an important function to prevent burn in but what I don’t understand is that pixel cleaning occurs every time the monitor is turned off or goes to sleep with no input detected. I don't foresee many people ever needing the reminder unless they game for 8 hours or more without a break.
One of my favorite features is the Neo Proximity Sensor, which has been updated from the older proximity sensors used in the past. The new sensor is a 940nm invisible laser which is more accurate and even offers multi-person detection. It’s very configurable for your particular setup and use case.
Pros:
- DisplayPort Cable Included
- Amazing Colors, Brightness, Inky Blacks
- High Refresh Rate
- Stand Adjustability (Height, Tilt, Swivel, Pivot)
- DisplayWidget App
Cons:
- HDMI Cable Not Included
- Pixel Cleaning Prompt Too Often
- Limited 15 Watt USB-C Charging
Overall:
Using this monitor has been the best experience I have ever had. The OD-OLED technology combined with high refresh rate elevates the gaming and day to day usage of this monitor. Between the very flexible stand to the included VESA mount adapter to the OLED care technology make this a monitor I would recommend to just about anyone.

The Asus XG27ACDMS monitor stands out with its high-quality OLED display, impressive HDR capabilities, smooth G-Sync performance, USB-C Display Port, and a fast refresh rate, offering an exceptional visual experience. Additionally, Asus provides extra mounting accessories for users who wish to install third-party desk or wall mounts. Display settings are easily adjusted via Asus’ “Display Widget Center” Windows application. It is truly a great display. However, the pixel refresh reminder, intended to help minimize burn-in, can be annoying. It often ignored user timer settings, although it can be dismissed when necessary.
Setup: Inside the Box, you get the display, a small bag that you can use to organize cables, a power cord, a Display Port Cable (standard size), the traditional stand mount, and a mount designed to work with third party desk or wall mounts.
Experience: I opted to hook the display up with an HDMI 2.1 cable. The reason was that I wanted to see if I could get G-Sync working over HDMI. I do not have a USB-C cable that I thought would be sufficient for DP over USB-C, so I opted to test via the HDMI 2.1 since that is the primary display out on my laptop and, I have a feeling, will be the primary hookup method for anyone on a gaming laptop. Results are that everything worked great. G-Sync was enabled assuming “Variable Refresh Rate” was enabled on the monitor and the monitor was set to the correct resolution and was the only active display.
I should talk a bit about the stand included. It works well enough. With it you can raise, tilt, and rotate the display. For most users, this stand will be more than enough. But for those wanting desk or wall mounting options, Asus has you covered with an included mounting adapter.
A few extras that I liked, in addition to the extra mount and the bag, are the included USB-C DP which can double as a 15w charger for phones or mobile devices. There is also a headphone jack if you wish to hook up speakers or headphones directly to the monitor. There is no USB hub, but I rarely use the hubs built-in to monitors and I appreciate that I did not have a bunch of extra connections or power cables to hook up.
After hooking the monitor up and turning on Windows, I received a prompt to download and install the “Asus Display Widget Center” application. It is a solid option for customizing the display and works much better than the built-in controls for customizing the display. Although, I kept the display on the HDR settings which did limit customization. On more standard, non-HDR settings, I had to turn brightness down quite a bit as the display is very bright by default out of the box.
Everything about this display is truly top notch. My only problem has been the annoying “pixel cleaning” reminders. I do not understand the need for the feature in the first place as the display will run a pixel display in standby after the PC has been shut off. Running a pixel cleaning every four to eight hours personally seems excessive and unnecessary. The built-in pixel cleaning reminders could pop up on the screen at random intervals every thirty minutes.
The “Pixel Cleaning” feature is designed to prevent burn-in, a nuisance on OLED displays, but this is the first OLED display I have had that has been so persistent about running pixel cleanings. My experience with other brands was that the feature should only be manually run once or twice a year or there was a risk that the display could be damaged. I am not sure why this display is so persistent with the notification. Thankfully, the notification can be turned off. You can always check the OLED care section of the monitors on screen display to make sure that cleaning has been run recently.
Conclusion: I really like this display, and it has become my go-to OLED monitor. The vibrant colors and deep blacks make movies and games look stunning, while the intuitive menu system makes adjusting settings effortless. The included features, such as a versatile stand, extra mounting adapter, and USB-C DP that doubles as a 15W charger, add to the overall convenience and ease of use. Pixel refresh reminders appear at random and can interrupt gaming sessions. But the notifications can thankfully be turned off. Despite this minor annoyance, anyone looking for a high-quality monitor should check this model out.

ASUS ROG Strix 27" 2K OLED 280Hz Gaming Monitor (XG27ACDMS) has a 1. 2K (1440p) QD-OLED Panel putting it at the best spot for gaming. The 1440p resolution produces a sharper image than 1080p without requiring a more expensive graphics card that would be required for 4K at acceptable frame rates. Most gamers are very happy with this resolution.
The OLED allows true blacks with infinite contrast, making dark scenes in games look fantastic. The "QD" (Quantum Dot) layer ensures colors are brilliant and bright. The 280Hz Refresh Rate gives you silk smooth movement of the game elements that can give you an edge over other players using slower refreshing screens. The 0.03ms time means when you whip your camera around quickly, the images stay crystal clear with no visible ghosting, allowing for very precise aiming. The G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro will keeps the monitor in sync with your Nvidia or AMD graphics card frame rate so you won't see any tearing or stuttering when the frame rate changes. The monitor was very smooth during gaming even when the frame rate changes.
The monitor comes with OLED advanced enhancement features that compliment the technology. OLED Care Pro and a Neo Proximity sensor both of these protect your expensive OLED investment by preventing burn-in. The proximity sensor turns off the screen when you leave, it works great. Why don't all OLED monitors have this? OLED Anti-Flicker Technology
The Uniform Brightness setting is great! Unlike typical OLEDs that automatically dim the whole screen if a bright object during gameplay takes up a large area to protect the screen. This feature keeps the brightness level consistent, so your screen doesn't darken in the right middle of a critical moment. This is critical during gaming so you don't miss an enemy lurking in the darker areas.
All of the OLED features reduce eyestrain allowing you to game longer.
Even the stand design is thoughtfully designed to maximize deskspace so you have room for moving the mouse during gaming.
ASUS even added a display widget center that lets you adjust all monitor settings directly from the Windows desktop using a mouse. This is so convenient during gaming no more fumbling for buttons to change a setting! The manual settings are still there though.
All I can say is Wow, Asus has really built this monitor for gamers. Hopefully this will push other manufacturers to incorporate similar features at this price point. While this is not a 4k monitor you can't go wrong purchasing it for gaming.

QD-OLED experience is next level good

he Asus Rog Strix 27” 2k QD-OLED is the monitor I was most excited to try. I’ve experienced the first generation QD-OLED panel, and I was thoroughly impressed. So now, I couldn't wait to see what Asus brought to the table for the 3rd generation QD-OLED panels. Is the text clarity and brightness improved? Is the risk for burn-in still a thing in 2025 for QD-OLED panels? These are the questions I had going in before using the new monitor.
How does it look?
Coming in at 27” with a 280hz refresh rate at 2560X1440 is the sweet spot for me. The monitor has this hybrid-like matte style screen that rejects bright lights. The colors that the monitor displays must been seen in person to understand the beauty of this monitor. I haven’t even tried the HDR features, as Windows 11 seems to always have issues displaying HDR content correctly. I would rather leave the monitor as-is. The monitor is easy to assemble, and the base and stand takes up minimal space within my home setup.
Host of features
As soon as I unboxed the monitor and connected the included DisplayPort cable to my gaming desktop, I was met with a notification asking me to install Asus’s DisplayWidget Center software. I normally don't find additional software useful, but downloading this software made a lot of sense. The software is super neat because it gives the ability to update the settings of the monitor by using the DisplayWidget program instead of using the joystick style button underneath the monitor.
One of the monitor's best features is the proximity sensor. It allows you to step away without having the need to turn off the monitor manually. The screen will turn black on it’s own. You also have the ability to adjust the distance of detection. Another great feature is Pixel cleaning. This is done while the monitor is asleep but will recommend every so often to perform a cleaning cycle.
Overall thoughts
My overall impression of the Asus Rog Strix 27” QD-OLED is that it is an excellent monitor. It has everything I was looking for. USB-C with Display Alt and power delivery, DisplayPort, and HDMI 2.1 port. The only thing I hoped for was to have increased power delivery in the USB-C port to power a gaming laptop. I can live with 15-watt power delivery to power my phone. I think I’ll be happy years to come with this one with all the great features this monitor has to offer.

I've seen OLED televisions, and a lot of phones - including mine - have OLED screens. They're something else, but eventually they lose their novelty a little.
I wasn't sure this monitor would be any different when I received it, but man, I was absolutely proven wrong. The moment I plugged my computer in and turned it on, I knew I would be taking very, very good care of it, and hanging onto it for as long as I can.
In short, it's wonderful. The screen is beautiful. It's sharp and crisp, the colors are bright and vivid, the latency is practically non-existent, the refresh rate is absolutely insane. Every time I sit down at the computer, I think about how amazing the screen looks. Every time I play a game on it, I'm a bit wowed by how much better it looks than it does on any other screen I've used. It's genuinely the best monitor I have ever used, by far.
The features are fantastic as well. There's a lot of built-in things to help ensure the longevity and health of your OLED panel. It asks you every so often if you want to do a pixel refresh, which takes just a few minutes and makes sure there's no sticking pixels. There's a feature to do a slight, almost imperceptible jitter of the screen every so often to make sure the pixels aren't getting burned out. There's the neo proximity sensor, which detects when you've stepped away from the computer and turns the screen off after a few minutes, then turns it back on when you return. All of these wonderful features have plenty of options to customize it to your needs.
It comes with this little zipper bag, where the literature, the power cable, and included DisplayPort cable are too. All very nice things.
I genuinely only have one complaint. The refresh rate goes up to 280mHz. If you want to utilize all of those potential frames, you're gonna need a pretty beefy rig, and it can cost a lot of money. Most people aren't going to have a computer that can even come to close to that. If you're wanting to make the most of such a wonderful monitor, you may spend more than you'd otherwise be willing to. Of course, if you're buying this monitor in the first place, you probably already have a nice computer, but still. My rig ain't enough for this, and I thought I had a very nice one.
Overall, this is an absolutely fantastic monitor. Will probably never think of getting a new one for many, many years to come.

The Most Vibrant I've Seen!

WOW. I have an OLED gaming monitor from another brand, but when I turned on the ASUS ROG Strix, I was blown away with the pops of color and deep blacks. I was so taken by this screen that I spent a good amount of time on my other OLED to adjust settings to try to get close to what the Strix looked like, but I could not get the color reproduction or the vibrancy I could with the ASUS.
The ASUS ROG Strix is a feature packed monitor. The features help the screen look better, make it easy to connect to devices, give it versatility, and help gamers game.
The look of the display is easily the best feature. As I mentioned, this panel blows away my other OLED monitor. What brand is my other? Must Say It is a good brand… Beyond the specs - 280Hz, 0.03ms, HDR, 10 bit true color - the ASUS just looks amazing. The reds and greens pop out of the screen like they have their own light source, more vibrant than anything I've seen any other monitor produce. I find my eyes drawn to it over my other monitors. Like most monitors, there are a ton of settings to adjust the screen to be just right depending on the person, environment, or even game-by-game.
Connecting it is super easy. It has HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C connections for display. I prefer USB-C since it is smaller and more simple since it plugs in either way.
One of the biggest concerns for an OLED screen, especially when gaming or computers are involved, is burn-in. ASUS has given me some peace of mind in that respect thanks to a couple features. It does pixel shift like most OLED monitors do, but the ASUS offers something I haven’t seen in others. The Neo Proximity Sensor will hopefully be a screen saver (pun 100% intended). It’s a sensor on the monitor that sits just below the center of the screen. It looks good with it’s red backlight, but more than that it senses if there is anyone in front of the monitor. If it does not sense motion it can perform several functions to keep the screen protected from burn-in.
The ASUS has all the gaming specific features you need to keep your edge. The 280Hz refresh rate is amazing, 0.03ms response time feels like an instant, and the crosshair feature to help you see the crosshairs no matter the background, all make me more competitive in Destiny 2 - yes I still play Destiny 2 because it’s great. The Shadow Boost feature is also helpful in very dark environments, eh-hem - Destiny 2, by brightening the darker areas of the screen.
The ASUS ROG Strix is by far the best monitor I’ve used. I used to think there was not much of a difference between a $300 and $700 OLED monitor with similar specs because they are both OLED, right? Wrong. Are the $300 OLEDs nice, yeah, but they just don’t look like this one. If you are between the two levels of OLED I encourage you to go to Best Buy and look at them in person. I imagine you will be like me, blown away at the differences. The color reproduction, the POP! I would absolutely recommend this monitor to anyone, especially gamers.

The ASUS ROG Strix monitor is a great OLED monitor with a few extra goodies that make it worth the price point.
ASUS took great care in packaging the monitor. There was nothing shifted in it the box which to me showed just how well crafted and engineered the packaging was. The packaging does contain styrofoam as compared to other brands which have opted for more eco-friendly alternatives.
I did really like the additional care that ASUS took in presenting the additional accessories. The accessories come in a carrying case (bag?). It was a nice touch. I thought about how nice that would have been to have when I was 16 and going to LAN parties toting my monitor around.
Assembly of the monitor was a breeze due in part to the straightforward construction of the base. It also helped that the display is ridiculously lightweight. The locking mechanism the display sits in felt incredibly secure. I did like the fact that this does have 90º of rotation.
Quality of the image and the display was what I expected out of a 2k display. Colors were vibrant my games played very smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised by the UI as it was very user friendly. I like to tinker with display settings and the menus were rather easy to navigate. I was even more impressed by the lack of heat from the display. The heat management from this monitor is amazing. After 5+ hours of mixed use of watching movies and playing games the display felt like it was at an average ambient room temperature.
The only complaint that I had with the display was that I felt that it had too large of a frame. Perhaps I have just been using some near borderless displays lately, but this one was just larger than I expected.
Overall I really liked this monitor. The features on the display do add a nice touch and there is still more to play around with in the coming days. So far though, I love using it.

Excellent 1440p OLED gaming monitor

I have used a handful of OLED monitors in the past, including ultrawide models. My favorite so far has been this XG27ACDMS from ASUS. 27" 1440p screens are the sweet spot for productivity and gaming. You get more screen real estate and clarity over 1080p, but you don't need the raw horsepower required for 4K. This particular model has pretty standard specs for most QD-OLED panels. 280hz, .03ms response time, excellent colors, excellent motion handling, and perfect blacks/contrast. HDR is colorful and punchy, while not quite being as bright overall as a mini-led panel. Overall, it looks and performs amazing. Some other companies are offering similar size and resolution OLED panels at a lower price, but you always get quality and and abundance of features with ASUS products. The OLED Care system designed to reduce burn-in and keep the panel operating at peak performance seems to work very well. There are customizable reminders to run the pixel refresh every few hours, and it refreshes the pixels on its own while the screen is off and not being used. It feels like this panel will provide years of beautiful gaming without much hassle. The only downside I have with QD-OLED panels are the subpixel layout, and text isn't quite as clear as it is on an IPS/VA panel, but it's definitely useable and shouldn't bother most people who use their monitor primarily for gaming. If you are going to be gaming 90%+ on this screen, I highly recommend it. If you are going to be spending more than half of your time working or using your monitor for productivity, it's up to you whether the slight difference in text clarity bothers you or not.

The Best Display I’ve Ever Seen! OLED Perfection!

I’ll get right to it. This is the best image I have ever seen in a monitor. Asus nailed it. To begin, the monitor is packaged incredibly well. Everything is easy to find and unpacking took just a minute. I had the base assembled in about two minutes. I was powered up with a picture in less than five minutes after unboxing. Boom! The picture quality stands out immediately. It is so bright and clear and the contrast is perfect. Plugging into the HDMI port was easy. My console looked the best it ever has. My old monitor was a high-end monitor and the difference was stunning. I was truly blown away by this Asus. The OLED screen is so realistic. The XG27ACDMS has a 26.5” screen. From corner to corner, the ROG Strix OLED shines. After some simple adjustments, the screen was perfect. The colors are so bold that they look lifelike. What stands out is the contrast. The black to white ratio is superb. The colors do not blend at all. Every color is separate from the others with no bleeding. One standout feature is the adjustments. For the first time, someone made a monitor with buttons that are easy to access and use. The navigation screen is easy to follow and making adjustments is super easy. The height adjustment stand is easy to use and makes the monitor super versatile since it also rotates 90 degrees with ease. I only wish this had two HDMI inputs. That is the only tiny complaint I have about this monitor. Bottom line, this is the best monitor I have used used and the image is superior to any one I have ever owned. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Smoothest Motion

I have had numerous monitors now, and this is just one of 3 external monitors I use in my current setup, each a different brand, with the other 2 being 4K, but this one being the only OLED of the 3. From the first moment I turned it on, I knew this monitor was special. Even with lower resolution than the other monitors, it rivaled them in picture quality.
Where this monitor really shines though is in the refresh rate. The picture is just so smooth, like ridiculously smooth. It's something that is immediately obvious the very moment you move your mouse around. That translates into accuracy, but more importantly speed.
Which takes us into what this monitor is really best for, gaming. No where is speed and accuracy more important, and this monitor provides both. I'm by no means an elite gamer, but it's things like this monitor that keep improving my skills and making me a better gamer overall.
This monitor is not the biggest, or the highest resolution, of all my monitors, but it has become the only one I use when gaming. I keep bringing that up because I hesitated at first when thinking about getting this monitor. I'm someone that tries to have the best of something. When this monitor came available I almost passed on it because in my mind, I already had 2 monitors with higher resolution, one of which was even bigger, but I figured it would at least be an upgrade for what was my previous third monitor. Little did I know this monitor would actually take the number 1 spot. So if you're hesitating like I was because it's not 4K, all I have to say is stop hesitating and just go for it. This monitor won't disappoint.

I’m extremely happy with this ROG Strix 27" 2K OLED. The combination of 1440p at 27" and 280Hz is a sweet spot for both competitive gaming and everyday use. Motion clarity is outstanding—fast FPS titles feel incredibly responsive, with no visible ghosting, and VRR (G-SYNC/FreeSync Premium Pro) keeps gameplay smooth without tearing.
Image quality is the real highlight: true blacks, excellent contrast, and rich color make everything look “premium” in a way LCD just can’t match (and with zero backlight bleed). HDR is impressive in supported games/content once you dial in settings, and the monitor’s build/stand feel solid and easy to adjust.

ASUS ROG Strix OLED 280 Hz is an outstanding monitor that delivers true OLED blacks, vibrant colors, and exceptionally smooth motion that’s immediately noticeable in fast-paced games. The 280 Hz refresh rate paired with near-instant pixel response makes competitive gaming feel incredibly fluid, while HDR content looks stunning thanks to the panel’s contrast. It’s a premium display with a premium price, but if you want top-tier performance and image quality in one package, it absolutely delivers.

Beautiful picture, fast refresh rate, absolutely gorgeous colors and deep blacks. Everything you would look for in a 1440p OLED and honestly I’m going to say fairly priced for a ROG item!

Monitor is great! 500 hz is quite fast and you definitely feel the motion clarity in fps games. The full blacks and even hdr content feel quite satisfying and the only thing i worry about is keeping the monitor clean.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely top-tier OLED gaming monitor
I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Strix 27” 2K OLED 280Hz monitor for a bit now, and it’s honestly one of the best displays I’ve ever owned. The OLED panel is the star here — the blacks are truly black, colors pop without looking oversaturated, and contrast is on another level compared to IPS or VA panels.
The 280Hz refresh rate paired with the 0.03ms response time is unreal. Competitive games feel insanely smooth and responsive, with zero noticeable motion blur. G-SYNC / FreeSync Premium Pro works flawlessly, and I haven’t experienced any screen tearing or stuttering at all.
HDR performance is excellent for an OLED monitor. Highlights look bright and detailed, while darker scenes keep depth without crushing blacks. It makes both gaming and content consumption look incredible.
Build quality is solid and premium, as expected from the ROG line. The stand is sturdy and fully adjustable, and the design looks clean and aggressive without being over the top. Connectivity is great with both DisplayPort and HDMI options.
I also appreciate the OLED care features ASUS includes to help prevent burn-in, which gives peace of mind for long gaming sessions or desktop use.
Yes, it’s a premium-priced monitor — but if you’re serious about gaming or want one of the best visual experiences available right now, it’s 100% worth it. Easily a top-tier choice for competitive gamers and OLED fans alike.
Highly recommend.

Great Monitor, I discovered long ago that IPS screens were the only screens for me. Well , that has now changed after using this OLED for over a week now. The colors are fantastic, prior to purchasing, I was researching OLEDs and was concerned about how text would look, No worries here, very happy with the appearance of the text. Highly recommend this monitor

Despite my concerns about burn-in and the whole shebabble, I have seen no issues with 400-500 hours of usage. 280hz works wonders for me being a casual gamer and there have been no issues whatsoever.

Good high refresh rate product, admittedly it is annoying if you have a separate 27 in monitor this since is noticeably smaller.
Change the color settings after unboxing based on an online review for the product - don't use default settings.
