Is good but haves a he flaws

Good for 1550 only if you use a monitor

The laptop itself is quite nice, I mostly use it docked on a foam cooling pad, and then connected to my monitors, and for that, this is the best price to performance you'll find. (1550 for a 5070ti, and an amd hx processor, is hard to beat). Only cons are the screen, battery and heat. Don't buy it if you want to use it the screen. It's a nice display but 1080p is too less to really use the 5070ti's rendering. Tbh you'll have a tough time building a computer with this performance. You'll have to oc a 5060ti or cheap out on the cpu and get a 5070, and that'll be a 1300$ build.

The only bad thing about this laptop is that it only has 16GB of RAM. I had to upgrade that, but for the price that I bought it for. It deserves at least 4 stars since everything else is good for a 1440p gaming laptop (via external monitor).

The ram is just 16gb but it's upgradable unlike a lot of other laptops. I got it for 1559 and I think it is a very good deal.

The first was spiking to thermal threshold immediately upon desktop use. The second did not have this issue and the CPU behaved as expected, but after getting it setup and ready to start running tests, it stopped turning on. Power would light up the keyboard for 1 second and nothing. Tried the non-invasive steps like hard reset without success. I did run 3DMark on the first device, which is what brought to light the throttling, and even with the thermals limiting it, it scored very high on Timespy. If you can get a working unit, it's going to be a fast device. Don't expect it to be quiet and the screen leaves a bit to be desired, but it will be fast. Maybe if your main needs do not require regular use of the screen this could be perfect. It's not terrible, but if you have become accustomed to high quality displays you will notice. I would have some QC concerns going in, but if this fits the bill, like stated, it's a very quick device at a good price.

We do understand your disappointment with this laptop and the inconvenience this may have caused regarding your concern the thermal and noise issues. It is normal for laptops, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, or while running resource-intensive applications. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. To regulate heat generation, ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions to have efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming ensure no resource-hungry applications, services and processes are running in the background, this will spike the temperature. You can check go to Task Manager to check how high system resource utilization is being used. The heat or temperature does decrease or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. To maintain optimum system stability and performance, ensure Windows, drivers, applications, games and BIOS are up to date. Furthermore, to regulate excessive heat generation, you can reconfigure your system, game, video and operating mode setting inside the newest version of the Armoury Crate utility software posted at: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/ . Ensure your settings doesn't go beyond the game's threshold. About your concern with the screen quality, this is an IPS-level, anti-glare display with a 100% sRGB, and a response time of 3ms with Dolby Vision HDR support.
