Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the ROG Zephyrus 14" gaming laptop's impressive performance, long battery life, and portable design. Many appreciate its lightweight nature and the vibrant display, although some users note that the device can get warm under heavy use and that the fan can be noisy at times. The lack of a built-in webcam and limited storage are also frequently cited drawbacks. Overall, the laptop receives positive feedback for its combination of power and portability, despite some minor issues.

What a direct upgrade.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is exactly what I've been looking for when it comes to gaming and regular needs. The keys are very nice, and it is light enough that it isn't a burden at all. The light up keys are good for nighttime, and the ability to change the fan settings with a press of a key is very convenient. I would personally recommend it to anyone planning to start university or college.

Fast Little Devil
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the fastest machine I have owned, and love it. The only downside is that it came with Windows 11 Home, so I upgraded to Professional ($100 from Microsoft store) in order to run virtual machines on it. Running Windows XP in virtual mode boots up faster than it ever did on its own machines from back in the day!

Rog Zephyrus Review
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good laptop, I had issues with using it when not plugged straight out the box. However when it was plugged in it was an amazing laptop to use for the price I bought it for.

Great when on sale.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought open box excellent condition (not excellent certified) and it was basically brand new. No marks or signs of wear so for $995 it was a good deal. Aesthetically looks good, minimal and portable. Basically it replaced my desktop with its performance as well. Normal price may not be worth it with all of the options at that price but if you can find it used it might be worth the purchase.

Pretty good laptop with a few drawbacks
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a good laptop with good power. The battery life is pretty bad, and the fingerprint reader doesn't work more than it does. It also gets very hot when under any load, so is not great for lap use. If using on a desk it is great.

Great with one major flaw
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is a great laptop. The build quality, display, keyboard, it’s all fantastic. The performance is excellent…..with one exception. If you purchase this laptop, be prepared to experience awful WiFi connectivity. Asus has been using MediaTek WiFi cards as of late, rather than Intel cards. This is a complaint that you’ll consistently find across reviews of this product, along with other recent Asus gaming laptops. It’s not a matter of being unlucky or not, if you buy this, you’re going to get the same junk MediaTek WiFi card as the rest of us. You WILL experience random disconnects. Your download speeds WILL be lower than they should. This isn’t a matter of chance, it’s a guarantee. Thankfully, you can resolve this issue quite easily. It’ll cost you about $25 and ten minutes of your time. Buy an Intel ax200 WiFi card, you can find one off Amazon or B&H. There’s a 3 minute video you can watch on YouTube that’ll walk you through how to replace the WiFi card. Just remove the back cover, and you’ll find the WiFi card under the SSD, which you’ll have to remove as well. As someone that’s never taken a laptop apart, I can promise you, swapping the WiFi card isn’t very difficult. The worst part is getting the two cables reconnected to the card once you swap the old one out. Thankfully, you can practice with the Intel card once you get it (comes as a desktop kit with wires already attached. You don’t need anything else in the kit, just the card). Spend some time practicing removing and reapplying the cables before you open the laptop and make the switch. Also make sure to download the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers from Intel’s website before you make the switch as well, as you will need to install them once you make the swap (note: my laptop connected to WiFi without even installing the drivers, but you should still install them regardless). Once you swap the WiFi card, you’ll see much better performance. Hopefully Asus dumps the MediaTek WiFi cards in the future, and switch back to Intel. Since swapping the cards, I haven’t experienced any issues whatsoever. As I stated earlier, everything else about this laptop is great, and I highly recommend it, as long as you’re okay with either swapping the WiFi card, or buying an Ethernet adapter for wired connectivity, as this laptop doesn’t have an Ethernet port. If you don’t do either of those, you’re going to have a bad time on WiFi, and that’s a promise.

ASUS - rog zephyrus g14 2022
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2022) impresses with its performance and premium features, yet some may find it less value for money given its price point. The model features a Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, Radeon RX 6800S GPU, and 32GB DDR5 RAM. It delivers solid gaming performance, supporting demanding titles like Halo Infinite at high frame rates, and it has a revamped cooling system for quieter operation. The laptop also sports an improved "ROG Nebula Display" which enhances the viewing experience, though there are some issues with HDR support on Windows 11. Overall, it's a capable and portable gaming laptop with a slightly cramped but effective keyboard and an enlarged trackpad for better control.

So far so good after 6 months
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good after 6 months Solid laptop for work and gaming. Negatives are it does get too hot if using intensive applications, and will randomly have blue screens every now and then. Seems to be an Asus issue. But it hasn’t bothered me

Get it when there is a hot deal
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptops runs all my high end games which makes me happy, but don’t buy this at full price. The laptops keys get so hot they burn my finger tips and it’s shut off / restarted on me once. Mostly though, it gets super hot…and the fan is pretty loud. Serves its purpose though.
