And if you're willing to spend some more the new zephyrus g14's are much better value. The 1080p display is also lacking in 2023.

Asus quotes over a thousand dollars for the part, only other options are eBay, because they won't sell the part OEM directly, and those options are only 600/ea - not a great feeling seeing the MFG try to scam you out of money. Def recommend researching on Reddit and other forums as I see a litany of other people having the same results. Laptop, when it worked, *did* perform just fine, so there ya go, reasoning for your one star.

Got it working the app to connect to your phone does not work. It also get hot. Very hot. Like burned my hand needed cool water hot.

I thought I would enjoy the larger screen, but they thing is b-u-l-k-y. I was drawn to the low weight and relative power of this LT, but worried the 14" screen would be too small. Turns out, that's a great screen size. I wanted something to game on with a controller while I sit on the couch and my wife watches TV, and this is perfect. The lap gets a little toasty after a while, but that happened with my last LT as well. The most demanding game I've tried so far is probably Death Stranding, and on max settings I'm hitting 90-100 fps. Can't complain there. This thing is snappy, and should last me a long while as long as my 4 year old doesn't spill juice on it. Battery life is great for a gaming LT, and I love that I can charge it over USB-C. I've got a Thunderbolt docking station in my home office for work and only briefly tested it with this LT, but it seems to work fine, but it disables the Turbo mode for the laptop so you might have to tone down the gaming.

Smoothly runs games (getting around 60 fps for assassins creed origins at max settings). The only issue is that it does not have an integrated web which can be purchased cheaply for around 20-30 bucks. Overall great buy for 1000 USD
