Ok for short term, not the best for long term

It started at about the middle and went down. Now it's covering all but maybe an inch. If you are looking for something short term and that will be attached to a bigger screen then this isn't a bad choice. When we went to have it looked at we were told a ribbon was loosening that's tied to the video. That ribbon apparently is near the hinges. Not a bad laptop overall despite that.

Not a bad laptop, but it isn't for me

I can't really get a lot of work done with 1080p, so that limits what I can use it for. I ran into too many bugs switching between graphics cards. Also, you apparently can't get full performance without using the big power brick and the fan was running way too often. If you're gaming and need the graphics power, this laptop is probably fine. Otherwise, there are probably better options.

It is required for the Adapter to be plugged in to provide the wattage needed for both the CPU and GPU. Please note that is is normal for fans to spin or stop at different time frame, depending on the heat level of the device. Had a problem with my unit

I returned the one I bought as it had a defect but lucky for me, I found that the 2022 version came down in price and are much better buys that this one.

Great for League of Legends

It does everything I want it to do. I use it for development and modeling and a bit of gaming, and this bad boy and do anything I want too through at it. The screen is amazing, I am advancing in years, so my eyesight isn't so great anymore, but I find the screen is really easy on the eye and having the 144mhz screen is a real bonus, everything is silky smooth. The only downside is the 512gb SSD, but this can be easily swopped out, I understand why they put it in is to keep the price down so this isn't a deal breaker at all the hardware is mint. So, whatever you want this laptop for it can handle it with ease. Not so long ago the price for this was a lot higher but now BTC mining has bit the dust the price is great.

Wifi card dead after a day

I'm guessing they received it back, booted it up, saw no immediate issues and put it back on the shelf. Fair enough, first day of use i saw no issues either. Second day i go to turn it on and the wifi simply won't connect at all- in fact the option is no longer there on the start bar. Checking device manager, as many have said, indicates that the mediatek wifi card has totally stopped working. Because this computer does not have an ethernet port, this is an issue for something that cost in the neighborhood of a thousand dollars. Using a usb wifi adapter (and flash drive to download and transfer the driver) i managed to get a temporary fix, but i've ordered a new card in the mail. Assuming the new card fixes this, I will be very happy with the purchase- 20 dollars and some labor on top is not an issue, and i have to admit aside from the wifi, I LOVE this computer. Small for a gaming laptop, powerful enough to play every game i've tried, as well as every other program i've used (various art programs- blender, reaper, videopad to name a few). I love the form factor of it, and the fact that it doesnt look like a xx_g4ming_xx rgb monster if you dont want it to- though it does have the option. Screen looks great to me and the keyboard/trackpad feel good as well. Overall I'm happy, but if I can't get wifi on here, that's a deal breaker. I'll update this review as soon as i jam in the new card, assuming the issue is fixed.

10/10 not something id buy again

Dead on arrival.

I opened it up, tried powering it up and nothing. I plugged in the power brick and hit power and... nothing. I gave it some time plugged in and tried again and nothing. I returned it already. I have had good luck with Asus products before but this was DOA. Super disappointed. Best buy didn't seem to care, offered no recourse other than to order another one at a snails pace. I will try another against my better judgement only because nothing else is even in the category of size vs performance vs price as far as I can tell. I'm not needing a bigger gaming device, I already have a flawless lenovo pro 3070. Anyway, everyone can make a bad product amongst thousands that they churn out. Still I am disappointed.

Solid gaming laptop

Good, But bad battery

Few cons to be considered when spending this amount on it, Battery will get very hot at 60 degrees C or more. There is optimization for this. Another big con was the battery life for me, No matter how much I tried to optimize it, it wouldn't give me no more than 5-6 hours and isn't even on full load. This isn't an issue if the laptop is plugged in all the time but it should be considered.

Great laptop. Huge issue out the box

HOWEVER, out the box the WiFi did not work at all. Luckily I work in I.T and I was able to fix it with a windows update (using a Ethernet to usb adapter) and then using device manager to scan for hardware changes. It then detected the WiFi adapter and I’ve had no issues. That being said if I had been like the other 98% of customers I would have had to bring the laptop back which is not a good look. I’d buy it again and have no regrets.

Mine died after 8 months of careful use.

I bought some of the best accessories for it and checked its health on MyASUS nearly every week. The 3060 graphic card with 144 hz stopped working after 8 months. I never let it experience any drop or bump, but the faulty graphic card causes flickering, white lines, black screen when I use it. The AMD card still runs well, but it only has 60 hz which is not for gaming and smooth experience.
