You have to decide if portability and weight savings is worth the power difference. The main draw back for me is the lack if Thunderbolt support and VR headset latency incompatibility that I have not been able to resolve.

Battery is constantly hot (fan blowing) and life doesnt last 1.5 hours. Peers have same model without issue. Hoping its under warranty.

My son rarely used it in the first place. I took it to Geek Squad who determined the battery looked bad, so they sent to Asus. Much to my surprise, Asus sent it back REFUSING to fix the 6 month old machine. Now I’ve got an $800 paper weight. The Geek Swuad rep said she’d only seen this one other time, yet sent me on my way with my busted computer. I’ve read this elsewhere recently, Asus customer service is abysmal. I’ve now lived it. Keep looking for anything but an Asus machine.
