The best portable laptop with both Performance and Battery life. I wanted to buy a laptop that has more battery life as I need to work at college and at the same time, I didn't want to miss out on playing games either. Whichever Laptop I see with good battery life is either too costly or else, has no dedicated graphics card. But, I finally found this laptop on President's Day sale with a price of ~1100$ which has around ~10hrs of battery life and also a great graphics card and also has modes to switch to Silent, Performance, and Turbo to adjust the graphics card usage and in turn, increase the battery life. When I need battery life, I simply switch it to Silent mode via function keys and it easily gives about 10 - 12 hours of battery usage. The disadvantage is that the Power adapter feels somewhat heavy. Note: It wouldn't give you this 10hrs of battery life while Gaming.

Definitely worth the cash, even a year after release. I paid $999 for this machine and its been phenomenal for me. I upgraded the RAM to 24GB and the SSD to 2TB, and I've had zero issues. Definitely recommend it!

The laptop doesnt overheat or Get super loud. The material can get hot but isnt unbearable. I had a razer before and using google chrome would make the fans go crazy, but on the G14 the laptop is silent. From gaming to doing class work this was a great purchase.

Great laptop for gaming! Nuff said. Although it gets hot fast get a cooler pad as well

Bought this gameing laptop for my son for his b day ,it has been a great laptop for him to use, it was easy for him to set up, downloads with ease, its quick and he really seems to enjoy it. We have had it 1 month so far and have had no issues .

I am not a normal AMD person, but I figured I love my ASUS ROG desktop so why not, right? Well, this laptop is very nice looking, and the graphics are great. It boots very quickly, and you have a lot of customization options with the Armoury Crate. The downside, which has tanked the overall rating, is two-fold. The first is that it actually seems slow with processing. I may have a handful of windows open, as well as multiple tabs in my internet browser, and it tends to fluctuate on speed to load between tasks. The biggest is that, unless you get a laptop stand or something to put this on that has very good cooling fans... you will burn your legs. This is not a "lap"top. Even when you're not doing much other than maybe a Word document or browsing your social media, the laptop will get hot enough to actually burn your legs. That is so ridiculous that I would not suggest getting this if you are not wanting to buy extra stuff to keep it cool enough to use.

Nice and fast. It does heat up and battery life is not great just like the comments section said.

Usually not a fan of AMD based computers but needed something small and mobile and liked this one. So far with nearly a months use, i am quite happy with this for day to day uses. Would recommend if someone is looking for a easy to go with laptop,

Very nice looking and performing laptop. Bought in open box-excellent and it was in a very nice condition.

Pretty fast laptop got it for studio programs seems to work well

Pretty good laptop but it has a few major issues. -16gb ram across 2 DIMMS yet one is soldered on. Makes no sense why theyd do that on a "gaming" laptop. -6700s isnt much more than a 6600 with a few adjustments. -Thing gets hot under load and NOWHERE near the advertised "turbo" clock speed or base. Between prime64 and Cinebench R23 I hit 94 celcius! I dont know how thats even possible considering my pc has a limit of 90c stock. -Havent taken it apart yet but a terabyte of onboard, simply not enough. A 2tb can be bought for 90$... Overall for a (how much did i pay?) laptop, ehhhhh. At least the BIOS is solid. I went thru the store and restarted\mashed delete - some still have black\grey UI's. Wasnt that more or less phased out when UEFI gained popularity? Not bad but asus could have pulled off more @ a lower price. Im sure the markup on this 8 core laptop is outrageous as the price versus hardware hardly provides any justification.

Excellent machine! I’ve been having loads of fun with this computer. I’ve been playing all of my games at top graphic settings without more than a couple hiccups. It’s been incredible. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star is the battery life is pretty abysmal. I wish it was compatible with me putting in a larger aftermarket battery, though most laptops won’t let you do that these days.

Get hot really fast but overall decent computer. Buy on sale if possible

Despite all of the bad reviews i highly recommend this laptop i love it its fast and amazing i recommend everyone to do their research before purchasing any laptop know what ur getting before you get it and always look for the upgraded path!

Excellent gaming laptop. But the fan kicks on often. Loud. The laptop isnt the lightest.

The most bang for your buck laptop ever! Especially when you catch it on sale OMG! Plays Modern Warfare and I can make my power points on it. So light, works with all peripherals! Got 3 friends to buy them and they love it!!!

First laptop ever purchased fantastic gaming wonderful colors runs like a champ. Oh, he keeps cool never had any problems overheating fantastic mouse also purchased at a later date that goes well with the color anime/Gundom.

Bought as an early fatger's day/wedding anniversary present. He loves it, especially since he can play all his favorite games. Now he's no longer left waiting flr games to load abd can enjoy all his favorite activities.

Great laptop and fast for gaming or any daily school/work/personal use.
