Good small gaming laptop, but temperature can become a potential issue.

I just recently picked up this laptop, and so far its shaping up to be great. I haven't had any issues at all, and the screen, trackpad and keyboard seem to be of exceptional quality. Overall, would recommend.

Before posting this review I definitely played on this machine at turbo settings for games and been using it for over a few days at about 2-3 hours and sometimes 4 hours a day and its still holds up! Great computer for gaming on the go for sure and yes I would definitely recommend it for those who have a desktop at home and also want to bring something light and very portable around. Most of this machine is going to be pros but there are some cons which I will talk about as well. Pros: It’s lightweight, Speeds are fast, screen is beautiful. Setting up was very easy and straight forward and gives me 120FPS (which I try to match the 120hz display on it) in all of my games that I throw at it. (Lost Ark, Monster Hunter Rise, All tomb raider, Elden Ring was giving me more than 60fps all the time) Cons: Had to erase and reinstall windows 11 back on it because installing and updating drivers were giving me errors. No BOSD or random shut downs. Heat is definitely a thing on this machine but don’t fear it. It’s natural especially for what technology is built into it and the performance it delivers to you. Fans are loud though I understand its to help cool it down and its loud because I use turbo mode majority of the time for gaming. Overall there are youtube guides and reviews of this machine that will go over tuning and how to use a lot of the software that it comes with. I actually was glad I erased and reinstalled windows 11 back onto it just in case it had a bunch of bloat ware. I may upgrade storage and ram but so far right now there’s no need to do it. I want to see if I’d like the $1900 version but will have to wait and see when it comes out. So far definitely recommend this for sure especially if you never had a gaming laptop. If you have last years g14 then don’t bother there’s not a HUGE difference between the two.

Good laptop with a good battery life despite the specs

Make sure you check for QC issues like excessive backlight bleeding/coil whine. On my third unit I found without QC issues and I love it. It can play AAA games very well and I'm getting 9 hours of battery life when I'm on the internet and stuff. Runs hot, but it's built to withstand those temperatures. Overall my third unit is an excellent gaming laptop!

Nice portable size and it is fast. My daughter wass very happy for this Christmas present.

It's a very good laptop but i found something and dont know what it is. Runing the first game of the day it resets and after that now you can play. Why does it do that? And even sometimes it goes to the bios page and i have to turn it off and turn it on again and everything is good but that can be a little annoying. Please help me fix that Its a good laptop though

With the recommendation of the Geek Squad people & the assistance of the computer sales person, I chose this laptop for my reintroduction to the Windows O/S and it's AWESOME! The performance is top notch, with the DDR5 16 GB of RAM making a big difference from my ancient Dell laptop. I can run full blown Autocad without any significant slowdown or performance issues while using the various programs from Microsoft Office. I highly recommend this platform for your next Windows platform upgrade.

After have this laptop for about 18 months, I can say I love it. Well build and stats seem to be holding up.

Should be better made. Had a lot of issues with this unit crashing and getting a blue screen after a year. Tried to clean install windows 11 which required internet to reinstall. Used my phone to tether internet to the PC to install. Then I had to spend hours reinstalling drivers to get it working but its still not great. The unit also gets extrememly hot.

Love the color and how smooth it is! Really fast for games!

For what I paid for this device it is an absolute beast for a gaming laptop. I got this when I was on sale for $1050 instead of $1600. It cost less then most graphics cards and that is an amazing thing to think of.

Great laptop, portability and power all in one package, only little problem is the stock wifi card is pretty awful, and sometimes the screw thats holding the card there is stuck.

8 months of usage and it already started crashing possibly due to overheating issues. It’s a powerful laptop I’ll give it that but if it keeps crashing then all that power is useless.

I was hyped for this item. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, a great graphics card, a great CPU in a small travel form factor. Pros: Entertainment - Great colour/color ( for you yanks) calibration out the box - Good speakers ( they don't go as loud as I would of liked ) - Easy sync to my Sony mh1000x4 and no lip sync issues which i've had with other laptops. - Because it has Dolby support, the software allows Dolby Atmos for headphones which was a nice treat. - Excellent performance in video games. Work - Comfortable to work on - excel, word, emails. The extra inch and screen ratio makes a remarkable difference compared to the 12.9" Ipad pro. - Lightweight and the total package (inc brick) is compact. - Discrete look Cons: It gets hot, in fact, it gets VERY hot. At typing this review the current temp is 61c which is the lowest i've ever seen it. Underload - Performance mode ( 2nd highest) it gets to 93c during GTA V (x1600 res, highest settings ). The buttons become uncomfortable to touch, especially near the 4 macro buttons. The heat travels down and holding "W" (for FPS games) gets uncomfortable. - No USB input on the left, this is where the charging port is, which means the mouse will need to be on the right side. If you're right-handed this is a slight inconvenience. You can get used to it or buy a wireless mouse. - I'm knit picking here, but the fan inflow slots/holes underneath are less than other laptops ( inflow ones, not the passive ones ), which means if youre wanting to use this in bed for tv shows i'd be paranoid about the duvet covering them. Sound silly, but as this laptop has high thermals already, the only heat in the bedroom you'll be getting whilst watching netflix is this laptop. Overall: Great bit of kit, hopefully ASUS will do a bios fix for the fan curve and sort the thermals out. Would recommend.

I loved the looks and the battery life and display of this laptop which is what hooked me into keeping this after continued problems with the WIFI and Bluetooth card. This computer would work great for a few months and then would lose all ability to find and use internet and bluetooth. Wiping to factory, reinstalling and updating drivers and bios initially helped but after a few months of this, at the third failure of the wifi/bluetooth card, even this did not work and it became a 1k brick since I mostly use WiFi and bluetooth for my laptops.

I use this everyday. It’s been wonderful for school and for gaming. Wonderful finance deal and was able to pay it off quickly.

my first ever laptop got it for school. i wanted to play games also so instead of getting an xbox and laptop i just went all out on a laptop. this was on sale for 1099 instead of 1699.for 1699 id go for something else. it looks greats handles great . Cons gets very hot and battery isnt great it ok charges fast tho 45 min full charge just about. some quality control issues minor tho. some buttons were slanted slightly. screen did go blackk for a few seconds in the beginning. camera is ok at least it has one its good enough. specs overall are top notch for the price. look at your ratings .com. Gaming on this so far is really good . Madden online gets slow sometimes maybe its my wifi but idk. off line runs good.
