I just recently picked up this laptop, and so far its shaping up to be great. I haven't had any issues at all, and the screen, trackpad and keyboard seem to be of exceptional quality. Overall, would recommend.

Make sure you check for QC issues like excessive backlight bleeding/coil whine. On my third unit I found without QC issues and I love it. It can play AAA games very well and I'm getting 9 hours of battery life when I'm on the internet and stuff. Runs hot, but it's built to withstand those temperatures. Overall my third unit is an excellent gaming laptop!

It's a very good laptop but i found something and dont know what it is. Runing the first game of the day it resets and after that now you can play. Why does it do that? And even sometimes it goes to the bios page and i have to turn it off and turn it on again and everything is good but that can be a little annoying. Please help me fix that Its a good laptop though

For what I paid for this device it is an absolute beast for a gaming laptop. I got this when I was on sale for $1050 instead of $1600. It cost less then most graphics cards and that is an amazing thing to think of.

    An Honest Review

I was hyped for this item. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, a great graphics card, a great CPU in a small travel form factor. Pros: Entertainment - Great colour/color ( for you yanks) calibration out the box - Good speakers ( they don't go as loud as I would of liked ) - Easy sync to my Sony mh1000x4 and no lip sync issues which i've had with other laptops. - Because it has Dolby support, the software allows Dolby Atmos for headphones which was a nice treat. - Excellent performance in video games. Work - Comfortable to work on - excel, word, emails. The extra inch and screen ratio makes a remarkable difference compared to the 12.9" Ipad pro. - Lightweight and the total package (inc brick) is compact. - Discrete look Cons: It gets hot, in fact, it gets VERY hot. At typing this review the current temp is 61c which is the lowest i've ever seen it. Underload - Performance mode ( 2nd highest) it gets to 93c during GTA V (x1600 res, highest settings ). The buttons become uncomfortable to touch, especially near the 4 macro buttons. The heat travels down and holding "W" (for FPS games) gets uncomfortable. - No USB input on the left, this is where the charging port is, which means the mouse will need to be on the right side. If you're right-handed this is a slight inconvenience. You can get used to it or buy a wireless mouse. - I'm knit picking here, but the fan inflow slots/holes underneath are less than other laptops ( inflow ones, not the passive ones ), which means if youre wanting to use this in bed for tv shows i'd be paranoid about the duvet covering them. Sound silly, but as this laptop has high thermals already, the only heat in the bedroom you'll be getting whilst watching netflix is this laptop. Overall: Great bit of kit, hopefully ASUS will do a bios fix for the fan curve and sort the thermals out. Would recommend.

my first ever laptop got it for school. i wanted to play games also so instead of getting an xbox and laptop i just went all out on a laptop. this was on sale for 1099 instead of 1699.for 1699 id go for something else. it looks greats handles great . Cons gets very hot and battery isnt great it ok charges fast tho 45 min full charge just about. some quality control issues minor tho. some buttons were slanted slightly. screen did go blackk for a few seconds in the beginning. camera is ok at least it has one its good enough. specs overall are top notch for the price. look at your ratings .com. Gaming on this so far is really good . Madden online gets slow sometimes maybe its my wifi but idk. off line runs good.

If you're looking for a portable laptop with strong gaming capabilities without breaking the bank, this laptop is for you. Keyboard is comfortable and I've been able to adjust quickly to it. I have a 2008 Macbook Pro, 2012 Macbook Air, 2020 Macbook Pro 13", 2016 Alienware laptop and in terms of typing, it's far better than the 2012 Macbook Pro, competitive with the 2020 Macbook Pro but worse than my old 2008 Macbook Pro and 2016 15" Alienware laptop. It's a solid typer and if you're a student, you shouldn't have any problems being productive with it. RGB lighting is present and customizable with various presets/options in ASUS's own software. Trackpad is a clear plastic top. It's large for a laptop in this class. Left and right click are in the bottom left and right hand corner of the trackpad respectively. Clicking is firm and clicky. Gestures work well. Palm rejection is effective. It's not Macbook Pro-class, but there are certainly worse. If you plan to game though, use a mouse. Screen is uniform and bright. It's not a touchscreen (a plus for me). Max brightness in doors is probably not necessary for most. Windows Hello support with the webcam works well, provided lighting is adequate. There is no fingerprint reader for logging in. Battery is decent. It will sip on the integrated graphics for web browsing and videos. If you're in school, getting through a few classes on 1 charge shouldn't be an issue. Do not expect this to be a champ at battery life though. It is a gaming laptop and does prioritize that. But tweaking the battery settings can lengthen life without sacrificing much performance for basic school/classroom tasks. You can also charge (I believe up to 100W) with USB-C with the USB-C port on the same side as the barrel plug. This allows you to keep a more compact charger with you on the go that can be used for dual purposes (ie charging anything not-an-iphone) while keeping the chonky boi in one place where maximum performance/power can be delivered. It's only "downside" is that it can definitely get warm in higher performance modes and the fans will definitely kick in during gaming. It doesn't sound like an Apache helicopter, but you may want headphones on if you don't want the immersion ruined by noise. Also, you may have to jump through some hoops to get encryption to work. Some DMA devices are seen as being "unallowed" and will need manual adding to the whitelist. Seems to be a common annoyance with Windows. If you want a laptop with good gaming performance in a compact form factor that sits between a 13 and 15" macbook pro while smaller than many other gaming laptops without breaking the bank, you won't be disappointed. If you're expecting to play modern AAA titles at high/max settings, temper your expectations, this form factor and the 6700S GPU will get you good visuals, but not the best.

8 months of usage and it already started crashing possibly due to overheating issues. It’s a powerful laptop I’ll give it that but if it keeps crashing then all that power is useless.

I loved the looks and the battery life and display of this laptop which is what hooked me into keeping this after continued problems with the WIFI and Bluetooth card. This computer would work great for a few months and then would lose all ability to find and use internet and bluetooth. Wiping to factory, reinstalling and updating drivers and bios initially helped but after a few months of this, at the third failure of the wifi/bluetooth card, even this did not work and it became a 1k brick since I mostly use WiFi and bluetooth for my laptops.

So far I am pretty impressed. Been playing Elden Ring @ 1920 X 1200 Medium and it looks amazing and performs really well. I actually don't have any of the frame drops or lag that I'm getting on a 5900/3080 Desktop. Fit is great, feel is great, keyboard is great, trackpad is great. All in all I think its a pretty easy recommend if you want something ultra portable that can run games at medium (which may as well be 4K on 14" screen). I really don't love the position of the barrel plug or ports otherwise could have been 5 stars.

I order this one to replace my 2019 Blade 15 cuz I have a desktop and want a more portable laptop to carry around and do home work (I dont use my gaming desktop for home work). First impression is battery is VERY SOLID. Battery was 99% at 8:07 pm, now as of this review, its 12:20 am and its at 63% (that is after all the Windows updates installed, Im sure it will be like 75% to 80% in normal use). Screen is brighter than the Blade, very happy with the 2k resolution and 120hz, speaker is louder too. I wont b using this for gaming, but maybe occasionally to exercise the GPU. Overall good price for the quality.
