Graphics are great
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the color of it. Puts off alot of heat. I had to buy a fan for it to cool it off. The battery won't last very long while playing high end games. I have had to re-enable the graphics card after it over heated before I bought a fan.

Good, With a Caveat
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for a work and gaming laptop more portable than my venerable M15r3, and the G14 fits the bill quote well. Positives: Fast. I picked up an open box 2021 G14 but returned it to purchase this. Geekbench, PCMark, and VRMark scores are higher compared to the 2021 model, particularly multi-core and graphics scores. The 6700s is faster than last year's RTX 3060 (probably due to the higher TDP). A webcam. It's not the best, but it beats not having one at all. This was one of the reasons I opted to return the other g14. Much improved keyboard and trackpad. This was the other. The silver and white combination in the 2021 model often washed out, but the white keyboard, which matches the rest of the laptop's color scheme on the 2022 model, is much easier to see and comes with RGB lighting (single-zone). The keys feel great, probably on par with my Alienware laptop. Bright, sharp 16:10 screen. I appreciate the extra height, and the screen is bright and vibrant. The Bad It runs hot, though I haven't had the laptop shut down during extended gaming sessions. I expect this out of a gaming laptop though. Coil Whine under load (sometimes). It isn't constant, but I occasionally hear a crackling noise as a game spools up. Odd Flickering at 120hz. I noticed flickering on the right side of the screen at first; upon closer examination, I could see a series of thin lines moving up the screen. I was initially concerned that I'd have to return my newly-arrived machine, but the flickering vanished when I unplugged the computer, which automatically sets the machine to silent mode. Setting the screen refresh to 60hz removes the flickering entirely. This might be related to heat or a driver, so I'm going to hold on to the laptop for the moment in case there's a resolution.

Good Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality is good for what I use it for the only complaint I have is the battery life. Also if you're gonna buy this laptop get a cooling stand with fans because the laptop turns into a furnace while playing games or watching videos you Don't wanna overcook your CPU & GPU.

Yikes, Slipping quality from ASUS
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value buy for any developer/game designer. Only issue is I had to lookup how to disable the startup sound. I also hate the fact that in sleep mode you need to hard reset the laptop. Works great other then that. just another Asus product that has quality slipping.

This needs more attention!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For my first gaming oriented laptop, I love it. I’ve been using it for school and gaming mostly and I have had zero issues with it so far in my month of owning it. With this being the lowest spec model you can buy, I think it’s plenty for most people. It’s probably overkill for my uses. If you’re in college and need a school computer that is also capable of running games and even content creation, then this is it. This model definitely deserves more attention as a lot of youtubers mostly review the 6800s version. Pros: Smooth gameplay on every game I’ve tested Display size increased Webcam Form Factor and portability MUX switch is now available microSD card slot has been added Cons: Heat can be concerning at times but it only peaks to the 96°C during heavy gameplay. Battery life is obviously terrible unless you disable the dGPU and turn power saving on. Price points are significantly higher than previous models with the lowest spec being around the same price as last years highest spec.

Good laptop, good value, horrible wifi experience.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good value purchase overall but minus a star for bad wifi card. Fried in under 3 weeks of very light use and the process to replace was a headache. Having to do that to get a 1000 dollar laptop to have wifi is unacceptable imo.
