Excellent buy at open box price of $840. Brighter than many other gaming laptops more expensive, runs almost all games smoothly.

Just purchased the laptop a few days ago. I am not a gamer but I use photoshop and lightroom and thought this laptop was great for using in living room and on-the-go. I installed but haven't used PS or LR yet. This laptop gets really hot. Unable to use it even after a few minutes of light browsing. Nothing else open except 4 tabs of Chrome open and unable to keep it on the lap after just over 10 minutes of use. The monitorig tool (Asus Armory Crate was showing over 80C). Considering returning it and going with Lenovo which was my original choice but thought would give Asus a try. But this is not usable.

Got it for $1100 and this is one of the best purchases I have done. but make sure to update BIOS and change some settings to keep the tempurature down.

Great laptop. Really responsive. Haven’t tried any games yet but works great and was a great deal for the 16 GB of Ram, 1tb ssd and dedicated video card.

Battery life is subpar but the worst offender is the heat management. It gets so hot at 88% cpu load, it reaches easily 90+ Celsius, not an exaggeration. At first, I couldn't believe what the reviews were saying about the laptop getting hot. This laptop gets too HOT to the touch. I don't want to be worried that midgame the gpu will bake itself to oblivion so I will return it. Maybe the RTX4070 GPU + AMD CPU will have better thermals and handle heat dissipation better.

For 1 thousand dollars great bang for buck. I’d even pay a bit more cuz the performance you get is great matching even 1500 dollar laptops.

Lots to like here. Beautiful design, great feeling keyboard and touchpad, and plays most games very well. The screen has some good points and bad points, though. Colors, brightness and resolution are good. Contrast is not great, and there is a fairly high amount of backlight glow (more than most IPS I have owned, even from Asus). My unit did not have any noticeable backlight bleed, which was good. In the end I did return this laptop, though. Reasons: runs hot, backlight glow, some software oddness, and some odd game compatibility issues (i.e. Halo Infinite cannot render correctly on this laptop because of an odd HDR issue). I still would recommend it to those who don't mind its shortcomings.

Great device for day to day use. Only complaint is that boosted performance is on by default and was needed to be tweaked in settings. Also battery life leaves more to be desired

Good laptop, powerful, good battery life, nice screen and 14 inches makes it portable while still decent amount of space.

Heats up a little bit, other than that it works great

First thing is this laptop runs EXTRA HOT. So hot in performance mode it’ll shutdown the laptop. After you make a REGEDIT change and change the power setting to normal it’ll run fine until….you’re connected to WIFI 6 or 802.1n and then prepare to have lag spikes every 2-3 minutes which makes any FPS unplayable. If there was a RJ45 port that would of been nice but there is not. Also, the SSD is SLOW. Be prepared to be the last one loading a level. Games played: CS:GO and Diablo 4. I’ll be returning this before the 60 day refund period.

I recently got back into PC gaming and wanted a laptop before building a pc. This thing is as the kids say “straight bussin deadass no cap fr fr on god”. It’s a small package (that’s what she said) but packs a powerful punch. I’m mostly using it for games like Diablo, Fallouts, Elder Scrolls, Hentai so idk how big super graphical games like halo looks. But the hentai looks great (Y). 10/10 would recommend.

More power than I need so EXCELLENT value for the price. Plus, it being white looks great at my setup on my desk next to my ps5!

I bought this laptop on March 31, 2022 for college in the fall. And for the first month it was amazing to use (i upgraded from a 940mx). But around the 2 month mark everything started to go wrong. First the wifi card is terrible. Constant disconnections and slower speeds than my older laptop from 2018. Second the software is hit or miss. Sometimes through a update everything will get messed up and the temps will be out of control but other times it works just fine. Finally, around 2 months after i bought it a "pocket" between the bezel and the lcd started to appear on the cpu/left side of the computer. (this problem seems to be very common on the g15-g15). This pocket ended up expanding to the point where it put pressure on the hinge and dislodged it from the lcd area. Which also made it close incorrectly (closes slanted), which put pressure on the screen and cracked it (somehow!?!?). All of this happened just 2 months after i bought it without any drops or harsh usage, as it mostly stayed on my desk and occasionally went to school in a padded case and bag. My hypothesis is that since i used the performance preset which caused more heat to be expelled into the screen from the cpu side which caused this pocket. All i can hope is that the warranty will cover the replacement and get it back to me in a timely manner. Otherwise it is a fine computer the keyboard is good, not a fan of the sound the trackpad makes when you click it but its tolerable and I use a mouse. The screen gets bright and is very nice for gaming. If you are dead set on buying it BUY the warranty/total Tech to get a longer warranty in case it breaks. This experience is totally unacceptable for a 1600 dollar computer. A lot of improvement over the last year model. However, run hotter and louder than last year model while just slightly better in performance.
