    Windows 11: Check Processor Performance: Check Stunning Graphics: Check Sleek and nice physical case: Check Screen Size: ........ That is where it got me. So if you are a gamer really on the go, and have tight conditions... Well, this is probably going to work for you spectacularly. If you are playing games with larger maps, or need overlays, or a lot on the screen at once, you may need to consider another machine... or at least get yourself a 2nd monitor (which then defeats the purpose of a powerful laptop) This still was a very good system... very power, fast. Running with Windows 11 out of the box, it is ready to go with the latest OS. Connecting on WiFi6, it flew on the updates and we were up and running in a short while. Installed League of Legends, which my son then used for a College Level matchup, and the system performed as well as his desktop for him, with no issues. Downloaded and installed COD, well, that is where things just showed their size. The lack of size on the screen made things a little more difficult. And if you are serious Gaming, you want the screen size. The hard-disk space is pretty large, you will easily get 2-3 of the biggest games on there... wouldn't push it past that. All solid state, light, and easy to carry around. Got several hours on the battery, didn't drain it. The RGB keyboard is a really nice touch, and it has GREAT feedback. So bottom line, if you are a mobile gamer, and need a good system... this one is here. If you don't need the mobility, and want a bigger screen, easy to add a 2nd monitor.

    The computer that I received is simply just annoying. Whenever I do certain things, the screen will just go black. I know my computer is still on because I can hear the audio and can click around. The screen just stays black and the only way for me to fix it is to shut down and turn it back on with the power button except sometimes once I log back in the screen just turns black again and I have to repeat the process. To make things worse, every time I turn on my computer and log in the screen once again goes black (I literally watch the screen fade to black once I log into the home screen) and I have to repeat the annoying process of turning it off and on again. I've had times where I had to turn my computer on and off over 10 times just to use my computer. The computer I bought was opened before but it was also geek-squad approved so there should really be no reason for all these issues.

    Hot and buggy

    I never leave reviews for items but this really upset me. Bought this due to the highly acclaimed 2021 version and heard this one had a lot of new features. I was so excited only to be let down by ASUS. The computer was burning up on simple browsing and severely lagging and stuttering animations when opening windows. Also the sound would cut out and sound choppy for some reason. I never had this happen with any other computer before.

    Loved it when it worked but suffers quality issues

    First and last time I'm ever buying an Asus product. I loved it when it worked but quality control is an issue with these laptops. When I received my first, the screen had a dead pixel. Received a replacement and work fine for about 6 months then the laptop will not power on (motherboard issue). Asus customer service is atrocious and Best Buy can't help because you'll need to talk to an Asus representative. Yet, you can't get a hold of a rep since Asus directs you back to Bestbuy for any service needed. So, now I'm stuck with an expensive paperweight. Purchase with caution.

    Impressive hardware, underwhelming experience

    I didn’t appreciate Apple products properly until I had to use this laptop. It’s got powerful components and looks nice, but don’t expect to get the promised 8-10hr battery life, efficient on-the-go workhorse unless you spend time tweaking things. Out of the box it runs hot and loud, burns through battery, and won’t sleep properly on battery (what I’ve found so far). I’ve done a clean install and tweaked several settings to get closer to the promised experience, but the point is I shouldn’t have to do this. Between ASUS and Microsoft it seems like I’ll have to continue tweaking as various updates break this or that. I never thought I’d prefer an Apple laptop over a Windows laptop, but tighter integration and control over the entire product really tip the scales towards Apple.

    All The Laptop Most People Need

    I've had this 2022 G14 for a few weeks now and have used it for media consumption, video editing, and gaming. It has handled everything flawlessly. The build quality on my unit seems to be very good with no screen, fan/thermal, battery, or keyboard/trackpad issues. The battery life is very good when you properly tweak the settings. The really nice thing about the G14's (besides the price and portability) is that a lot of people have them so there are tutorials on Youtube on how to do any sort of upgrade, optimization, or repair you may be interested in. I would definitely recommend this laptop for the vast majority of people.

    Overall I am extremely satisfied in every way. This biggest complaint I have is the Wi-Fi chip it comes with. It's garbage but can be replaced easily for $20 and about 30 minutes. The battery life is even better than I expected for doing office tasks/homework, and it also provides impressive performance while gaming. Definitely the most powerful laptop on the market, but I would say it's the best option considering its excellent battery life, compact form factor and relatively cheap price. Afterall, the main reason to buy a laptop is portability... I feel many gaming laptop's loose that.

    This laptop gets very hot and the system crashes any time it's on battery power. Its performance is alright but the constant Blue screen of death is so annoying. Had to return it because of this. It's unusable, but maybe I just got a bad unit.

    Broke down after 15 days

    I bought the laptop on March 29 and it was working well. On April 13, I was unable to log onto the internet, and I checked the device manager where it said that the WLAN card was not working properly. I tried troubleshooting on Windows, myasus, and I eve tried reinstalling the drivers, and now it doesn't even detect the card anymore.....

    Hmm, my laptop screen keeps fading away. Did I hear about the 60hz and 120hz making the laptop not display or wake up? I also stories about replacing the M2 Drive but I feel like this should all work out of the box.

    I would like to start right out with I really liked this laptop but I am disappointed that I couldn’t find a working unit. I went through two laptops with similar issues. Both had terrible backlight bleed, faulty switching from 60hz to 120hz. I tried restarts, complete reinstalls, BIOS update, and driver updates with no improvements. When I was able to play a game, the screen blacked out, Elden ring at high 1080p 3hrs. If your a lucky one this laptop would be great.

    Poor quality control

    I returned the first unit I purchased the day I got it because it refused to turn on. My second unit was stuck on a faulty windows boot for several reset cycles after less than two weeks of very light use. I’m disappointed in the quality control and will likely be looking at a different brand of gaming laptop after I return it. I had really high hopes and was originally only looking at ROG, and was really excited to either get the g14 or the flow x16, but now I don’t think I’ll get others and look at the competitors instead.

    Kept crashing when trying to play game. Couldn’t even get to the menu screen before it would crash. I loved the size but definitely needed more power. I decided to go with the M16 with the 3070 ti.

    Drivers wouldnt update. This it stopped working.

    I received mine about a week ago and when I tried to update the graphics card drivers It gave me multiple errors. Now it will only run chrome and does so extremely slowly. For almost two thousand dollars this is a joke. I will be taking mine back as soon as possible.

    Temps are terrible

    Terrible temps. I literally just bought this and temps idle at 65-70 which isnt normal. Laptop gets hot fast without doing anything. I couldnt even play the new MW2 because it just kept saying “graphics are out of date” i tried to install drives and nothing fixed it. Ive tried to play a game, and the temps got up to 95. My laptop overheated the first day and turned off and i couldnt get it back to turn on for 15 minutes

      We do understand your concern about thermal issues.



      It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. In idle mode, Windows Update and antivirus software will run hte the background. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

    Amazing product, but new BIOS killed it. Returned.

    Wonderful machine until a faulty BIOS released by ASUS started killing them. An absolute shame as, after getting lucky in the QC lottery, and being able to enjoy a compact and powerful laptop - a manufacturer BIOS update (316) forced bootloops which made the device entirely unrecoverable. Luckily within the holiday return window. Not much competition in this space. Was so excited for the potential. Shame.

      Absolutely, it is an amazing product.



      We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if the laptop goes into a bootloop after a BIOS update. Usually the following can be performed to resolve the issue. Disconnect any external device that is connected and try to go into the BIOS setup and load default settings. If this didn't work, unplug the AC adapter and drain the battery completely, this will reset the CMOS into default or factory settings. Once fully-drained reconnect the AC adapter and power on the laptop. If problem persisted, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.
