Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery doesn't provide more than 2 hrs use on a full charge, the AC charger/adapter doesn't work, it's been impossible to track a replacement down even through Asus customer service which is a vague labyrinth, and the touchpad isn't very reliably responsive. Hopefully I can return it beyond the 30 day period because I didn't even really have a chance to use it within those 30 days to find out it is a piece.

Ran into problems with just 1 month of usage

Laptop Caught Fire

It barely worked from the moment I bought it. 1/3rd of the time, the screen would go black after booting up and I’d have to hard reset it multiple times until it would stay on. But the worst part is that while geek squad was working to help me fix it, the dang thing caught fire and needed to be tossed out. I only owned it a month…I’ll never buy ASUS again.

Garbage

I waited for it for ten days and I received it today. But it's a bad one that I can't start it. The light is working but the fan doesn't so the computer is really hot. I tried many times with or without a power supply and they all failed to start the computer. Really terrible quality control!

Great Creator's machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Killer performing machine. I use it for mainly video editing 4k videos for my YouTube channel on the go. I travel a lot so this unit keeps up with my Ryzen 7 desktop I use at home. Its a great gaming PC however if you upgrade the RAM and add a better M.2 SSD this becomes an amazing machine for a lot less $$$$ than a general non gaming units. I use it to LIVE stream on the go with OBS and Facebook live and it has no issues with that plus it can multi-tasking like no tomorrow. I am adding a trvavel monitor as well to help with the video editing and my photo editing. doting software. DO NOT BUY THE PREVIOUS MODEL! The screen responds time is absolutely garbage. I had that model for 1 day and returned it for this model and it was a night and day difference on the screen and performance.

Not worth the price

So I was given a replacement and immediately upon setting it up in getting several errors and on top of that my battery is only lasting 40 minutes on a full charge

Lemon and poor service

Best laptop I ever had!

In eco mode (which is the MUX switch) I got 5-6 hours with web browsing and could probably get a another hour out of it. Reading another people reviews and videos my unit have no issues it does get a bit hot but thats is expected from a small form factor packing a powerful CPU and GPU. It is powerful enough to play VRCHAT (ultra settings 60-120fps with the quest using a link cable and probably with air link was well) Past 2 years I been using macbooks because of the quilaty and vaule and this laptop definitely love the quality I traded a series X for this laptop so I only got this laptop for 650$ but I will be buying again! ASUS are the best in hardware and have no another quality or vaule was another brands.

Great device ... when it works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: - hardware is super capable ( read plays most new games on high settings over 60 fps ) - the format is very portable - screen is amazing ( good speed, high res, very bright, 16:10 aspect ratio, slim bezels ) - device feels premium - keyboard is great cons: - when going with Asus it feels like you're playing a QC gambling game (never had these issues with laptops from Lenovo, Apple, Microsoft) - really pushing the thermal envelope burns the laptop so you'll need to reduce Total Device Power allotment and buy a laptop pad with a big fan Punchline: if you survive the QC gamble you have a great laptop on a great discount. Just don't hesitate to return if it misbehaves like I've done.

DOA - screen issues

Awesome 14" laptop for professional graphics work!

Only complaint I hear is they do get hot under load. Like most laptops these days, especially smaller ones, there are not meant to sit on your lap anymore - or even on a soft surface. Time will tell to the longevity of it's construction (what always seems to kill laptops these days) but for the hardware, it runs the Adobe Creative Cloud suite extremely well, which is what their primary workload is and requires decent RAM, a fast SSD and solid GPU to do well.

It had horizontal lines across it. No amount of troubleshooting of drivers / graphics / bios was able to rectify the problem. I was super hyped, but unfortunately I was forced to return it.

Great Product for the Price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been through a few gaming laptops over the years, (last one being a gigabyte with a 3070 and i7 11k) and this little guy can handle its own, every AAA title ive thrown at it is running everything ultra with no hiccups. Im not a huge fan of AMDs drivers but still pairs well with the system. It does have 8GB of Vram which i think is great vs the lower Vram offered in other laptops. Great build quality, feels good, sounds good and runs even better, the screen is crisp. Only downfall is a MAX of 24GB of ram since 8GB is in the mobo the one slot for ram only allows a 16GB stick for a total of 24GB of ram. Very satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend!!

quirky but good value performance

First of all, I feel scammed that there is no matrix display on all units and it's only there if labeled on the box. But back to the quirks. Sleep seems to be somewhat broken. Things will go crazy, USB ports won't work, or apps won't run until a reboot. So if you shutdown or restart often enough it can run smooth. Spec wise this is a pretty powerful content creation slash gaming unit. Switch emulation is great, resolve runs smooth, and Lightroom is fast. Oh the screen is a bit of a downside. It says 100% srgb but image quality is not so accurate. It looks great don't get me wrong but colors and brightness will be way off if you export it to your phone or publish to the web. I use an external display to edit any photos.
