Awesome gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome laptop - Presentation when opening the box is excellent. Feels like a very premium product - Runs any game that has been thrown at it and is very light weight, considering the hardware.

Fantastic!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs everything fantastically! The reason why I chose this wonderful computer is because it can run games well, AND it can have up to 9 hours of battery when you alter some settings.

Good deal on a sale, but has trouble staying cool
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a fine machine, and a decent deal when it goes on sale. I recommend this computer only when it goes on sale, as base price is a bit steep. It's light for a "gaming" laptop, adequate amount of ports, and looks great. Build quality is solid. Cooling is very "meh." It's acceptable after a good amount of tweaking on battery. On charger, the heat becomes a problem during longer sessions of gaming, as the keyboard tends to get too hot for my liking. If you plan to do any serious gaming, buy a high-end cooling pad with a seal of some sort. Or, go with an external keyboard. Battery life is excellent (AMD has done an amazing job with this CPU), as well as the display. I haven't noticed any quality issues out of the box. The F2 key is a bit crunchy, though, but it works fine. The touchpad is nice and large, although it's way too big for my liking. Thankfully, there's an easily-accessible FN key combo to enable and disable it. Overall, this machine is solid, but you should know what you're getting into before you purchase it. Heat problems are real with this model and need to be addressed. With the right tweaks and accessories, this laptop is very capable.

Value Based Allstar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It overheats which can make it impossible to use directly on your lap. Why did it still get a 5 star rating? Well, the performance and value was still everything I hoped for and more.

Little hole in screen
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall really good pc, but after a month a little white dot appeared on the screen. I looks like a tear or a hole since you can feel the little depression formed. Since it happened after a month o could return it, but perfromance, battery life, and quality are really good!

Pretty okay
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lightweight, versatile, and plays games at relatively high settings. Only issue is with overheating, and battery is mediocre but it is a laptop so that’s expected.

Clear Screen with Good battery in Everyday Use
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have only had a few days, so no long term observations. Laptop with both AMD CPU and discrete GPU is very fast but not as fast as something like the Alienware X14 with an Intel i7 12700H and RTX3060 GPU. Battery life is better on the Asus G14, however, by about 2 hrs. in everyday use. If you use Armory Crate and put the laptop in Eco and Silent mode, you can sometimes achieve around 10 hrs. in normal use. Screen is very bright and clear with a 16:10 ratio. Port selection good, but no Thunderbolt 4.

Solid performer
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded the ssd to a 1tb samsung with the fastest speed, changed the wifi card to an intel based one and added 16 gb of ram. And now it is a solid machine for years to come. The display quality is amazing very close to my m3 pro macbook pro. And overall it can handle every single thing I can throw at it for development work. And the games I play are able to run on high presets and high frame rates. But if you want higher settings and fps you may need to upgrade to one with a higher end gpu.

Nice specs but the basics just don't work
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On paper this laptop has great specs and I really want to like it, but the wireless performance and power management are awful. I don’t understand how a 2022 laptop can be so bad in that regard. I have never had these issues with my other Windows PCs, phones, and Apple devices. I’ve spent more time troubleshooting issues than playing games on this thing. It's just incredibly frustrating to use for basic tasks. Pros: Great CPU/GPU performance. It can play Elden Ring with high settings at 60 fps in native resolution. Nice form factor and weight for the specs. Great battery life. Great screen. Nice keyboard and large responsive trackpad. Cons: Awful wifi. The MediaTek card it came with was slow and kept randomly losing connection while streaming video or playing online games. None of my other laptops and devices have issues with my wifi setup. I replaced the MediaTek card with an Intel card and the connection is now stable, but still slow. I get about max 50 Mps vs the 300 Mps that my 5 year old Alienware laptop can get. At this point I assume the antennas are just bad. I even reset Windows back to the factory default and the issues persist. Awful Bluetooth. Both the MediaTek card and Intel replacement card both stutter and then drop out when streaming audio over Bluetooth. Again, I assume there must be something wrong with the antenna. I have to use a USB Bluetooth adapter in order to use Bluetooth audio. Awful power management. Closing the lid sometimes doesn’t put the laptop into sleep, so it just runs until the battery dies. Also, if it’s plugged in it won’t put the screen to sleep. This is with all the default factory settings. Finicky drivers. Installing newer AMD drivers instead of the ASUS defaults makes the power management even worse, so I have to revert to the older ASUS driver. But then some games have worse performance and even mention upgrading the drivers. Halo Infinite is an example.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop. Handles all the games I throw at it. I usually lower the graphics to low or medium just to go easier on laptops, but this can handle higher graphic settings. I would definitely buy this/an ASUS laptop again. 10/10

First gaminig laptop
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first gaming laptop so I really had no idea what to expect. I used reviews to see if I can find what was a good fit for me and I decided to pick the g14. I honestly was very happy that I picked this laptop. I can be productive and game when I need to and the screen looks great. The battery life is decent but could use some improvements, good thing is that there are a lot of guides online to help make it last longer. Overall still a great laptop.

Great Buy at a Great Price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For what it was on sale for, this laptop sure performs! It just requires a bit getting used to, and knowing how to control the processor or graphics card can extend battery life greatly.

Great model bad product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first saw the price I thought it was too good to be true. Well it was partly true, the box and packaging is clean. The design and feeling of the PC is amazing, the overall unique style definitely makes it stand out. I loved it at first but then the overheating and issues began almost immediately, I did not even get 10 minutes into using it and the fans were already not functioning properly, thankfully a quick fix in the armory crate fixed the issues. However the Pc still runs VERY hot and VERY loud. Might want to wear headphone or you’ll be hearing your second AC, or heater in this case. Then the PC proceeded to malfunction and reset on itself and not start up windows ever again. Overall the concept is great and if I were to have had a good model I would’ve gave it a 5/5 unfortunately I’ve seen that this is pretty common for this specific design to come defective more common than normal. Again loved it and would’ve loved it if it would’ve worked.

Good gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally gave into getting a gaming laptop and after having this laptop for about a month now, I would say it is a pretty solid laptop. Visuals are great, speakers are nice and loud but it does get really hot so I would definitely recommend getting a cool fan laptop holder or to put something on the bottom of the laptop to circulate air.

HOW To solve HEAT Issue
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After solving the heat issue this laptop is 10/10. out of the box, this laptop runs super hot because it is overclocked basically all the time while it's running. There is a redit thread called "Important Update To PROPERLY DISABLE Boosting". The steps go into the Registry to disable the CPU boosting and make the CPU run at the stock frequency. I disabled CPU boosting for silent and balanced mode, which has reduced the temps by AT LEAST 15 degrees C. For turbo mode, I set the CPU boost to "efficient aggressive" so it still overclocks on this setting but during gaming, the highest temps I have seen were 85C with barely any performance loss. After solving the heat issue this laptop is amazing. i was able to get this for 200$ off when it was on sale recently.

Best laptop I've ever owned.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is incredible. Its fast, lightweight, quiet, and has incredible battery life when put in eco mode. The 1440p 144hz screen is bright, smooth, and sharp. the speakers are excellent for a 14in laptop. The ryzen 9 will handle anything you throw at it and the rx6700 GPU plays any modern game at high or highest settings. My only lament that there is only 1 slot for an NVME ssd. Thats one of the tradeoffs for having a smaller form factor. Overall one of, if not, the best laptop of 2022.
