If you want the laptop to run much cooler, i would recommend adjusting the fan to be more aggressive at lower temps rather than a quiet mode, also lowering the tdps for the cpu/gpu. You have to do a custom preset for this though :(

Really excellent. Was an impulse buy tbh, when I saw it on sauch a good sale. The iGPU os phenomenal, half the games I play I just run off of it and get 60+ fps with minimal fan noise. FSR and the discrete gpu run 2077 totally playably. Display is great, keyboard could have less actuation force but is otherwise solid. First gaming laptop I bought since the HP...hdx17 I think? They've come a LONG way since then. Battery life sucks when gaming but that's just physics

Amazing laptop. Top performance in a small body. Good quality overall. Runs smooth every game I've thrown to it, going from God of War (2018) to Warzone. Don't get me wrong wont handle ultra settings in this metioned games, but good enough to find a balance between graph and performance.

I point a fan at the bottom of this machine and on low settings and 1200p, I get 120fps on cyberpunk 2077! It glitches sometimes under heavy load. It’s a slick machine. I love the way the edges are at I guess 45 degree angles so it doesn’t hurt playing or typing , it also helps when opening the computer clam shell. The screen is just amazing. I have an oled tablet and this thing looks better. This is the perfect machine after so many years, I found the one for me.

Really powerful and great gaming laptop for the price and size. Only complaint is the heat as the laptop does heat up a lot, but what do you expect from a gaming laptop?

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is among the excellent gaming laptops in its size and class. It stands out for its thin and light design, high-quality display, great performance, and long battery life. However, it isn't as serviceable as other gaming laptops since half of the memory is soldered on, and its USB-C ports don't support USB4 standards. Good for the following usage: Gaming College Video Editing Lightweight Workstation

Great powerful, portable gaming device! I would recommend running it in balanced power mode for the cpu to keep temps a bit lower (turbo mode keeps cpu temps at 96 degrees) but other than that it has been an absolute pleasure to use! I purchased while it was on sale for $999.99 and I really can't think of a better deal for a 14" laptop, let alone a gaming laptop.

Good, but screen is small. If you can get past that, just make sure you have it in a place where the bottom fan can breath (not a laptop for the lap). Battery life is good as long as you’re not gaming

This is an amazing laptop! It's like it was custom made for me. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is my preference for laptops. Putting this in "Optimized" mode inside Armoury Crate gives it insane battery life when not plugged in, while simultaneously giving seriously impressive power while plugged in, giving you the best of both worlds. It works by completely cutting power to the dGPU when on battery power, making this an incredibly efficient machine. The integrated graphics are shockingly good, so you can still do light gaming on battery, without it instantly draining the battery. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, and the colors are really good. It has a beautiful display. The touchpad is big... Almost too big, but it is really nice. It has a specially designed hinge that raises the laptop off the ground when you open it, allowing airflow under the fans, keeping it cool and quiet. My one minor gripe is that it isn't the most comfortable to use on your lap because of this, but it is still doable in a pinch, and I wouldn't trade that for the improved cooling performance. MyASUS allows you to set charging limits too, at 60%, 80%, or 100%. This is really nice if you frequently have the device plugged in, as you won't fry your battery from excessive charging. I keep mine on 80%, to give me a nice balance between battery life and keeping the battery healthy. It also has some chassis flex, which isn't too bad, but if I'm holding it in a strange way, I can get some weird trackpad behavior. All-in-all, this is my favorite design for a laptop I have ever encountered.

It's fast but it gets really hot fast too and burns my lap. It's probably windows but I play a game where I have to hit shift a lot and every time I hit shift more than five times a warning comes up.

Great bang for your buck. This thing is crazy powerful for such a small device.....but it does get hot aka why I have my device named, "HeatHog". I play alot of VR games with my Quest 2 (VTol VR) and have no issues. Also play games like ready or not and im running around 116FPS on highest grapics. I would recommend having something to sit it on while playing the heat can get to you especially in shorts. Speakers are really good along with screen display. That option to add an extra 16gigs of ram is even more awesome. I do plan to add more ram especially for games like BEAM.NG Drive. If you're like me and perfer to take a gaming system everywhere you go this is it. I just slid this thing on my backpack and most of the time I forget it's back there its so light. Whenever i need to spend the night somewhere or am stuck at a place ill just whip it out and play. Without it being plugged in I have gotten about 50mins of game time playing BeamNG drive at normal graphics. I personally wouldn't say the heat is a problem due to it being such a conpact machine and being very powerful kinda comes with the territory.

Excellent laptop. Handles all the games I throw at it. I usually lower the graphics to low or medium just to go easier on laptops, but this can handle higher graphic settings. I would definitely buy this/an ASUS laptop again. 10/10

I saw negative reviews and I feel the need to shed positive light. This laptop is too awesome to see it's reviews tank due to someone's personal struggles. First, no matter what laptop you buy, remember to register it with the manufacturer to use your one year warranty! 2nd - never, ever start using your laptop out of the box without first having the patience to update the BIOS, drivers, and operating system. There is a guide on reddit for this laptop series called 'Zephyrus setup'. He walks you through it. But basically launch the included Asus laptops and do what they say. When they're done prompting you with things, search your computer for 'check for updates' and let windows install anything it lists. 3rd - the WiFi will work fine if you raise the roaming aggressiveness, through Windows' internal network adapter's properties > advanced settings. Google that if you need to, but basically what's happening is the laptop is so densely packed with tech (to stay 14") so the WiFi card, by default, sometimes has trouble reaching your router. If increasing roaming aggressiveness fails to help, you can get a usb WiFi nano adapter for ten dollars which is better than any internal laptop card and sticks out about 1/8th of an inch from your USB port. This laptop has two regular USB ports and two USB-C. People complain about seeing the keyboard's backlighting since the keys are white. While this may be true for the plain white backlight color, the 'aura' feature lets you choose the color, and there are ones with higher visibility. Either way, I've had no issues. People also buy this model thinking it has the 'AniMe Matrix' feature on the outer top lid. It does not. This gimmicky add-on is very hard to find in the US, and you'd pay an additional 1/3 the price of the computer to have it. Trust me when I say you won't care after you start using this laptop. And the lid is still iridescent in the area where the AniMe pixels would normally be. All of the great things you've heard about this model are true. It differs heavily from the earlier models with the 2021/2022 RTX 3060. The RX 6700s has 8GB of VRAM as opposed to the 3060's 6GB, meaning you'll be able to play the latest gaming titles further into the next few years, since tech is moving on to 10GB and 12GB VRAM graphics very quickly. It's so quiet. It doesn't scream at you when you're gaming, but it gets loud like a MacBook with a lot of Chrome tabs open. We, as a human race, can only fight the laws of thermodynamics. Until silicon chips can be water-cooled without bulky external accessories, loud fans are the best defense to laptop heat. Be sure to place it on something other than your lap and you'll see a huge difference. (I use a 12"x18" rubbermaid shelf from home depot - $10 and fits a mouse). If you're debating getting this laptop, and understand that internal gaming laptop hardware becomes deprecated and thus worth selling every 4-5 years or so due to lack of upgradability vs fast-paced markets, then buy this now and don't look back. Enjoy the absolutely stellar, comfortable, stylish, and painless experience you're in store for.
