HOTTER THAN THE SAHARA DESERT!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HOTTER THAN THE SAHARA DESERT! I believe I got one of the many defective models that runs extremely hot when doing no tasks. Im talking burn your fingers playing runescape or working on some classic piece of modern art in MS paint. I am currently waiting for my new unit, but that has been very delayed. The build quality, keyboard, trackpad and monitor are all super nice though.

Really solid laptop. Genshin looks great at 120hz!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mainly got this to run Genshin when I'm at work. I've got a built desktop and play 1080p 240 hz at home with a FPS uncapper. It looks pretty nice at the 1600p 120 hz as well. Since I really only boot this up occasionally, windows updates can seriously bog this thing down to where I really can't do anything until it get's done but that's not the computer's fault.

Phenomenal product
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very user friendly and has a lot of great support. There are tons of useful apps that can also help you control and modify your computer. I personally use it for architecture classes and it works for just about every program I use as well as working when I have multiple programs open. I would suggest this as a starter laptop for anyone getting into gaming, or any architecture students who are on the go

Phenominal, other than a few minor gripes.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before we get into this, I switched to this machine from an i7-10700 and GTX 1080 desktop. I've only had this machine for a week, yet I've fallen in love. AMD, ASUS, you've done it. You've made a desktop replacement that's actually portable. Yes, battery life isn't amazing, but what're you expecting from a gaming laptop, and especially one this small? Now, you're probably asking yourself why I titled it the way I did, yet only gave it four stars. That's simply because of the fact that half the RAM is soldered on. However, it's understandable why they did that, so it's not too bad of a concession to make. I do wish they let you get a model that has a 6700S and 32GB of RAM, as I do a lot of Blender work. In addition, 2560x1600, while sharp as a tack, it's too much for a display of this size, and a GPU of this performance class! I like to keep everything at 100% scaling, but I can't do that with this machine, simply because of the size of the display, which, if you're keeping track, is 14". That means this laptop has a PPI of just above 215. Whenever I get a new machine, I wipe the system and do a fresh install. That wasn't the case with this machine, I just dropped my pre-existing Samsung 980 Pro into the machine, which has an install of Nobara Linux (a fork of Fedora Linux designed for gaming and content creation) It worked nearly flawlessly. I say nearly, because I was dumb and forgot to uninstall the proprietary NVIDIA drivers! Oops! I picked up a WD Black 2TB SSD with the machine, yet haven't been able to install it, since IT CAME WITH A HEATSINK PREATTACHED AND ADHERED TO IT but that's not the point of this review! Overall, this machine is amazing, and well worth the asking price

Good but poor heat management.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great form factor and had enough power for some mid tier games, but overheated fairly easily, even on games like Fortnite, crashing during game play.

Posted .Dear CurtisC,
There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up. We would recommend that you check for and install updates. This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter than normal and in turn ramp up the fan speed. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications. Multiple restarts are recommended to ensure all updates are installed. Windows Sucks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good laptop that I use for my CAD softwares. The downside is the fact that when I do a shut down, it doesn’t shut down. It’s still “on.” One time when I arrived to work, my backpack got extremely hot and the battery was dried. It turns out that the laptop was still on even though I did a shut down. This issue can be fixed with some help from the internet, but it makes the startup slower.

Little package, big punch
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little gaming laptop for the money. Just make sure you get the right configuration. AMD-AMD & Intel-NVIDIA. Takes some tweaking in the beginning(switch from radion graphics to actual graphics card). Battery is non-existent when "turbo" mode is on for gaming, so keep plugged in. Can play any modern game though, so 10/10... when on sale (1k)
