There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up. We would recommend that you check for and install updates. This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter than normal and in turn ramp up the fan speed. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications. Multiple restarts are recommended to ensure all updates are installed. Don't get the lowest end model

Terrible laptop

It overheats easily, has no fail-safe shut down of any kind in case it freezes during boot-up, which it does. Something about having windows 11 with a radeon GPU is incompatible, absolutely refuses to play certain games, and crashes or Bsods on almost every other game. Even low-spec games. For the price it doesnt even come close to comparing to other laptops in the same price range, and i cant even return this stupid thing. I have to go to asus directly to claim the warranty because best buy's returns and exchange policies are so customer-hostile. And Asus wants me to pay for the label amd the shipping amd handling AND the shipping insurance which adds up to around 100-120. Just so they can do nothing to it and send back a new piece of crap laptop that has the same issues. Do not waste your time. This is a money waster, go to anywhere else.

Can run any game smoothly and handles high graphics with ease. The anti glare screen is great. Touchpad is perfect and i like the laptop design as well. For the price tag its a great deal if you dont mind the 14" screen especially when gaming. The only problem is that it can reach high temperatures when gaming.

I've only had this machine for a week, yet I've fallen in love. AMD, ASUS, you've done it. You've made a desktop replacement that's actually portable. Yes, battery life isn't amazing, but what're you expecting from a gaming laptop, and especially one this small? Now, you're probably asking yourself why I titled it the way I did, yet only gave it four stars. That's simply because of the fact that half the RAM is soldered on. However, it's understandable why they did that, so it's not too bad of a concession to make. I do wish they let you get a model that has a 6700S and 32GB of RAM, as I do a lot of Blender work. In addition, 2560x1600, while sharp as a tack, it's too much for a display of this size, and a GPU of this performance class! I like to keep everything at 100% scaling, but I can't do that with this machine, simply because of the size of the display, which, if you're keeping track, is 14". That means this laptop has a PPI of just above 215. Whenever I get a new machine, I wipe the system and do a fresh install. That wasn't the case with this machine, I just dropped my pre-existing Samsung 980 Pro into the machine, which has an install of Nobara Linux (a fork of Fedora Linux designed for gaming and content creation) It worked nearly flawlessly. I say nearly, because I was dumb and forgot to uninstall the proprietary NVIDIA drivers! Oops! I picked up a WD Black 2TB SSD with the machine, yet haven't been able to install it, since IT CAME WITH A HEATSINK PREATTACHED AND ADHERED TO IT but that's not the point of this review! Overall, this machine is amazing, and well worth the asking price

The computer is smooth and not laggy at all. I haven’t had any issues with it. The only thing that could be improved is the battery life. It tends to die pretty quickly, but if you’re going to be using it while plugged into the wall you shouldn’t have any issues whatsoever
