Amazing laptop for the price! Screen looks absolutely stunning!

Long story short: Immediately update your bios via MyAsus included software to avoid a lot of the aforementioned issues. Once complete Google how to disable Aggressive performance boost options G14. This will drop temps 10-20c while gaming. Went from 80-90C to 70-75C while gaming. Outstanding computer if you are tech savvy enough to do these two changes.

This is a decent laptop for casual gaming and work . Lack of touch screen is a bummer. Battery drains fast while gaming . It can heat up pretty quick.

The one I got was defective. I was warned that these machines run hot (which, yes, it did), but every time this one got too hot the hardware would falter and my game would lag hard. Yes, I checked my internet connection first, the common denominator was the machines heat/use. Best Buy accepted my return and I was refunded, so I got good service as far as that went.

Its an awesome little powerhouse of a laptop. Amazing specs and a nice crisp 1080p monitor. Plays most games on med to high settings. Runs a little hot when gaming for long periods of time so i would highly suggest also purchasing a laptop cooling pad.

this little laptop is a beast, it may run hot but as it is so thin I expected that. it is super fast and looks great with 1TB it is large enough to fit all my games. after using a bad laptop for so long happy to know there are still great ones out there. worth every penny.

Fast, Fast, Fast.....This little laptop Packs a Punch overall and the monitor rivals Mac Book Pro!!!! Pros: Fast, SSD, Compact, Great Cooling once configured first and pair with laptop cooler stand or just a stand. The ability to use a smaller 100 watt USB-C charger as an alternate power supply for travel is definitely a plus while only loosing 10% performance and running even cooler. The monitor is the best I've seen on a windows laptop. The size is very portable and light. The keyboard is great and the sound/speakers are pronominal, loud and clear and rivals/better than the Dell XPS 15 in its class. I can also game on it when plugged into the main 240watt power brick and fans customized to High. The customization of the Fan and power curves is a definite plus. Do not use the default fan curve, this thing is a beast and needs to breath even under light tasks. By default the fans are off (or seem like it) and it does get a bit warm to the touch. Just bump up the curve just a little bit (like min 30-40%) so it can breath and the fans are still very very very quiet. I cannot hear them unless I push them past 50% and you can barely start to hear them. They Are loud past 80 percent, but they are a quiet and subtle (dampened) white noise that is not annoying at all. Microphones will not pickup the noise or can be easily filtered out in post production. This thing runs like a full fledged gaming rig without requiring an A/C to cool the room off. Keyboard illuminates RGB, is awesome...Also This machine is upgradable. The DDR5 performance on this laptop Rivals Intel Based Gaming Rigs, Intel, and apple M1/M2 Laptops not matter the size and class. The monitor is over 500 NITs and nearly 4K res, pictures are vivid and clear WOW!!!! Cons: Only 16gig upgradeable to 24gig max (should have come with pre-soldered 16gig DDR5 not 8gig pre-soldered) Memory in this model is a bit limited for workstation/video editing/artificial intelligent photo editing. Gaming is fine and make the unit more affordable for beginners. I would upgrade to the maximum supported 24GIG which should be just enough for most workstation tasks. At 24 gig Ram is can handle Luminar NEO like a dream as long as your not running other programs (so run one program at a time for workstation level power user content creation programs). It does not have the matrix display on the rear on this model, however, this is not a big deal because you cant see it anyway when using it. Default cooling profile is going to worry most people that do not know how to tweak setting using provide software. The laptop will come off as a hot box for amateurs. This laptop is not for amateurs and requires some basic tweaking knowledge and understanding of the USB-C port function and laptop cooling fans might frustrate some, but for simi-pro, or advanced user would appreciate this laptop. Would recommend watching you-tube reviews and video manuals on this 2022 model before using to get the best experience. If using this as an editing or REVIT/CAD workstation, I would recommend cloning and upgrading the M.2 SSD to a min of 2- terabytes with the performance level of latest Samsung pro or higher to take advantage of the storage speed needed for these applications. The 32-gig model is $1000 more. What the heck, why so much more for just an extra 16-gigs. Why not keep keep the same GPU and just add more RAM? The 32-gig model will cannibalize the 16-gig model for this reason. Please make an affordable 32-gig model or 16-gig model which has the same GPU as this model that is upgradable to 32 gig (of course it would also need 2 DDR5 slots instead of only 1 to take advantage of dual or quad channel). Final Thoughts: This is an amazing and fast fully featured DD5 laptop that don't break the bank and is light, efficient and very compact with a 14" screen that resemble or better than most newer Mac books pros. Having a refresh rate of a gaming monitor, at nearly 4k res and over 500NITs bright, it is the perfect buy for 2022 for prosumer power users and advanced gamers. The only thing to look out for is the limited memory size for pro workstation use and default fan/power profile that needs to be adjusted. Manuals and tutorials which are very well documented.
