Overpriced and underperforming.

It will randomly shut itself down even with a cooling fan base on maximum speed. Product is overpriced and slower than a any laptop I've ever seen. These arent even an option in the system anymore so you cant get support for it without paying out of pocket to go back to the manufacturer. Geek squad can't help. No support, no assistance. If I could give negative stars I would.

Great for gaming, extremely portable!

A great laptop, except...

Would've given it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that it gets stuck in sleep mode all the time and I have to reset to get it working again. I've worked around it by turning off sleep mode in the settings, but I shouldn't have even had to. Otherwise, it serves my purpose well and the speakers actually are way better than I thought they would be. I don't use it as my main gaming machine, so I only play games like The Sims or Hades on it. I have no problems running either one so...works for me.

It is not advertised for this laptop becuase you need to download software to activate it. The download guides to activate usb4 is easy and not difficult.

My First Asus Gaming Laptop

This was my first gaming laptop and I was originally going to go for the HP brand, but decided to go with this one because the pricing was better. Overall, I'm rather surprised with how well this laptop runs and performs. This is a faster laptop than any of the HP's that I have had in the past and I'm sitting here wondering why I didn't consider this option sooner. This laptop may be small in size, but it makes up for in performance and storage.

Doesn't last

Perfect for most!

Works amazing as a normal computer as well. Bluetooth and wifi 6 make gaming a breeze. Battery life while gaming is quite poor, however will work for short sessions on the go. Only issue I’ve had is a black screen on start up with a hard restart being the only way to continue. Looks to be a common problem with these. Lots of positives, few negatives. I would recommend this laptop.

Great But gets HOT and crashes

Once it gets hot those fans sound like a twin turbo, but all in all the looks of it is emaculate the l.e.d/r.g.b lights on the keyboard is crazy i loved them but i had to return it the 3rd time because of the issues even after replacing it with same one the 2nd time.

Could be so much better

It would be a 10/10 if it wasn't uncomfortably hot(avg 90c both cpu & gpu using turbo mode). It gets so hot that the lid becomes slightly softer and flexible.

A bug !!!

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got the G14 2022, started to play around with the Armory crate "manual" mode to limit the power in order to cooler the laptop while gaming. For example i set minimum 15w for cpu then 65w for both cpu and gpu (sPPT). Applied the setting. It works perfectly if it is on GPU mode "Standard" and "Optimize". But on "Ultimate" mode which uses mux switch uses dedicated GPU only, it doesn't do anything. The gpu power would be pushed a lot higher to whatever it wants like 80w.. etc I had updated everything from Myasus, Amory Crate including latest bio to 317, so from MyAsus app, it shows my laptop is up to date, and windows updates the first day i opened this laptop. Worked with Asus supports for few days. I told them i saw others having same issues posted on Reddit. They followed the post's suggestion and asked me to reinstall Amory Crate. I did that and it didn't works although i rebooted the laptop. But for a strange reason, it worked the next day. Then the day later it didn't work again. Reddit post below https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/zox79u/manual_mode_armoury_crate_settings_not_applying/ Now they asked me to send my new laptop for factory repair. If they replied me earlier, i would have returned the laptop back to Bestbuy for a refund instead of a sending the laptop for a factory repair. But the last day to return was Jan 14. Also, when i created a ticket with them i searched many places and when i am able to create a ticket, the dropdown for country which is the reqired field having US as a country missing. (I tried many times) So i needed to select UK just to bypass it. So not sure if i can actually send it from US. I bought this in Bestbuy. Anyway, the point i want to make also, it doesn't seem to be hardware issue to me as the "Manual" mode works on other GPU modes excepts "Ultimate" mode. And others having the same issue as i mentioned. It seems to be a bug from Amory Crate. I don't want to go through all the hassle sending a almost perfect laptop for factory repair and eventually after weeks or months later they tell me there was noting wrong with it. The techical supports first asked me to update all softwares. And then after i showed them the Reddit post, they suggested me to follow the suggestion. I wish they really tried to discuss this internally and see if someone else can help instead of asking us to send the laptop back which is a waste of time and money.
