    This computer Is powerful. But it’s garbage. Do not buy this computer. Ever. If you’re reading this review then you’re smart enough not to buy it. When I first got mine out of the box the motherboard was messed up. I had to ship it out for 2 weeks and got it back disgusting. Not to mention Bestbuy lost it. The Bluetooth rarely ever works. The built in Wi-Fi is god awful. And the thermals. My god the thermals. I hope you don’t want to play anything other than snake on google chrome because otherwise you’re looking at 90-99 degree cpu temps constantly. And with high thermals means what? That’s right. This thing sounds like an airplane. I’ve had more problems with this computer than from any other item I’ve ever bought. Bestbuy wouldn’t do a single thing for me. Asus won’t do a single thing for me. So now I’m just screwed with a 1700 paperweight that I’ll never be able to reliably do anything on.

    Issues with mother board twice/over heating issues. First motherboard repair was cover under warranty. Motherboard went out again 5 months later. Asus wanted 949 for repair. I won’t be purchasing Asus again.

    Good 2022 Gaming Laptop Refresh

    So far loving this refresh model for 2022. The higher refresh rate is very noticeable when gaming and makes transitioning between my PC and this laptop smoother. Overall the laptop is aesthetically pleasing while delivering great mobile gaming on the go.

      Usually, doing a power cycle a couple of times and loading optimize default in the BIOS will resolve the auto-reboot issue. Also, disconnect any third-party device connected to the laptop that may be causing a driver conflict.

    The king of laptops

    This thing delivers like none other in a form factor you cannot imagine. You will be shocked to see the size of this thing in person. The specs are beefy enough to get you through most of the things. The only con you will feel is that the keyboard gets warm dring bigger workloads.

    Had the laptop since December of 2022, barely used for gaming, primarily used it for emails and shopping online. Turned the laptop off one night and won’t turn on or charge.

    Really fast laptop and beautiful. A little more ram would be nice but u can upgrade to 24 for cheap. Super light weight. I bought it yo travel with and I don't regret it. Premiere pro works great on it. Video playback is great.

    Laptop has been nothing but up and down experience; bought this open box good condition, when bringing it home, noticed a crack in the back panel, best buy wouldn't replace it, starting to notice it getting significantly hot and laptop shuts off automatically sometimes and the back panel is starting to bulge; this is qc issues alone. The software and hardware support is what really kills this laptop. Advertised as an amd advantage laptop, but radeon software doesn't even work properly. Bios issues have been present with each release, and there is never a changelog or release note other than "optimizes performance" for every update that is released. I have always bought asus parts for my desktop gaming computers but after this I dont think I will be buying an Asus laptop again.

    I paid almost $1800 for a terrible laptop. Its fine for doing minimal work such as writing essays and such. But you open a single game it heats up so fast. I could cook and egg on the thing. And dont get me started on game quality. Every game is super low quality, and every character is just a mass of polygons.

    Had the older model g14 and wanted to try the new model. Very sexy looking Wich is about the only good thing. 16:10 isn’t supported on every game so that became an issue. It got way too hot. Wish they would have offered 16:9 options as well as nvidia gpu options. Item was returned.

      It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.



      To date, the laptop model G14 series wll not be released with and Nvidia GPU and a display of 16:9 resolution.

    used it for a couple months and it just decided to stop working. Never dropped nothing spilled on it perfect condition. Was told there was a motherboard defect. Best buy voids manufacturer warrantee. Waste of 1200 dollars. I bought a lenovo now.

    This laptop was the best investment! I sold my xbox series s and my samsung tablet in order to buy it. My AAA games run silky smooth on it. The screen is bright and big. I love the feel and look of the keyboard. This so lightweight and I can game for a while without it being plugged in. I love plugging it in any tv throughout the house and gaming with or without the power cord. All I need to bring with me is my xbox elite controller. This is an amazing tool for work and play. You will not be disappointed. It gets hot when im gaming of course but so did my xbox. So I dont understand why that's an issue. As a parent to a toddler, I get to game 1000x more than I used to because this laptop is so portable throughout my house.

    Laptop made a clicking noise when playing a game and installing another at the same time. Best Buy refunded me but I am scared to buy another considering there are soo many reported issues/glitches with this laptop. I enjoyed it while i had it but I didnt pay $1100 for a laptop that malfunctions.

    Overheats

    I only bought this to play Sims 4. It overheats so badly that I had to use an external fan, and I even tried putting the laptop on a laptop stand. It was getting 170°. I returned it and got my money back. I loved the sleek design so I’m disapointed I couldn’t keep it.
