    This laptop was bought for my grandson heading for college. We together went through the needs for this laptop for each need. This was the final product with its needed selections. He has enjoyed using it.

    After 11 months, the unit woudnt turn on and became super hot to the touch when trying to charge. Couldnt get files prior to sending out for repair. I hope it is replaced. Recommend extended warranty

    It’s the best portable gaming ever!!! The graphics are great, the responsiveness, and the design is smart. It’s not heavy like the other gaming laptops of the same size.

    Every year, g14 early product unit have various physical problems. The screen bent on the left side.

    Overheating Issue

    It’s an alright laptop. Definitely overheated and shut down a lot. I did end up buying a Laptop cooler for it and it did work but it still got so hot that you could not get the full performance out of it.

      We do understand your concern about thermal issues. It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please check the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. Also, verify if the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application.

    The heat problems are very real. After 10 minutes of warzone it overheated and shut down. I rebooted after a while and set it in a vertical stand so that it had the absolute maximum ventillation short of needing a cooling mat (that would kill the whole portability argument vs larger machines) and again within 10 minutes of Warzone it crashed hard. This is only on 1080P and 60hz mind you, no where near maxing anything out. I will be returning this and sticking with the G15 AE.

    It's a great laptop but it has a major flaw. There seems to be a universal issue with the fans. I returned 3 laptops within a month because they all suffered from fan clicking. Doesn't seem like much, but in time, this could lead to the fans going out. If you search Reddit, you will see that it's a wide spread issue that Asus has yet to come out and talk about. If you get lucky and buy one without the issue, then you've got yourself a great gaming laptop but I had 3 shots at it and they were all defective. Also, 2 of the 3 had major backlight bleed.

    Bought a new g14. Opened the box. Did not turn on. Plugged in the charger. Did not turn on. Waited 10 mins. Did not turn on. Hard reset. Did not turn on. How can a laptop have a problem out of box? Lol

    Quick, powerful and lightweight to boot. The combination of the ssd, cpu and gpu makes this laptop a fast powerhouse that looks sleek too. Its been a great experience so far.

    Works great just make sure you look a video about how to turn off the cpu boost. ( this may be the reason your cpu temps are so high) display looks great

    An excellent gaming laptop that I ultimately returned because I wanted a 2-in-1 laptop with a touchscreen. I don't know how I overlooked these things.

    It breaks down after a year. Wear and tear is awful when it comes to gaming on the keyboard. The warranty does not cover the damage for internal damages

    Purchased laptop 3/21/22. Updates all the drivers have installed a couple games. Day after getting laptop had to take it back to best buy as it screen was defective. Reached out to Asus who referred me to Bestbuy. Had to replace it. I have purchases Asus motherboards in the past but first time buying laptop. I would not recommend based on first impression but hopefully the replacement unit won’t have any problems. From the little time I did use it laptop does have a nice screen and the keyboard has a great feel.
