I bought an open box excellent condition laptop. Overall, it was good. However the hot keys were not functioning properly. I had to send it to geek squad to fix it. They replaced the parts and now it's working perfectly

Hands down the best gaming laptop I have owned. I have tried an Omen 15 and this laptop just feels smooth all the time. Pro Tip, uninstall Armory Crate and install GHelper instead. It made configuring fans, power, etc alot easier and also keeping my drivers up to date. I will always recommend ASUS ROG Zephys from now on.

I would give this a solid 3.5/5. Its def quick with everyday activities. Browing, streaming, work. With gaming there is some draw backs, the CPU gets pretty hot, mines gets up to 93 C. The bottom of the laptop gets too hot to even touch. Usually have to exit the game to let the laptop cool off. I shouldn't have to lower the CPU wattage to lower the CPU temp, which seems to be the only fix I found online. especially for a $1900 "gaming" laptop.

As a gamer, I am always interested in having a mobile solution for on-the-go sessions. Whether I am in an airport, at a hotel, or at a friend's house, I want to be able to get up and running quickly, have a fast system with stability, and have a gorgeous screen to look at. Needless to say, this has it all. The screen is simply stunning. Colors are vibrant and pop off the screen. The text is razor sharp and very pleasing to look at. As a Mac user, I can certainly appreciate that these newer high end Windows computers have essentially made blocky text a thing of the past. GAMES! The first game I loaded was Halo Infinite by signing into and starting the free Xbox Game Pass trial (one month is included with this model). I connected my Xbox controller and favorite headphones via Bluetooth and was completely immersed in the Halo universe for hours. The game runs smoothly and I experience no lag with all settings on high. I have noticed that the vents do radiate quite a bit of heat playing graphic intensive games with all settings maxed out. Those vents are there and designed to disperse the heat, so I am hoping that they are simply doing their job by getting rid of the heat instead of it staying inside. I don’t know if this will cause any issues in the future, but it should be noted. I also play ESO and it’s the same story. Beautiful lush surroundings and fast, stable game-play. I do want to revisit Diablo at some point and I am sure this system will cut through those graphics like a hot knife through butter. As a photographer and videographer by trade, I also lean towards gaming laptops. Besides being great for gaming, they are also great for video and photo editing on the go because of the standard features and specs. Ultimately gaming laptops can provide double duty for my lifestyle which is a bonus indeed. This model comes standard with a built-in webcam as well (720p), so if you are a vlogger, or you do a lot of skype / zoom, you will be all set without the need to carry an extra camera. The keyboard and track-pad are excellent and the overall computer build quality is solid. I do like the Moonlight white color and it is certainly aesthetically pleasing. Again, the screen (widescreen 2560x1600) is awesome and a pleasure to look at for everything from games to Netflix, to web browsing. The ports are also sufficient for my needs. You get a full size HDMI port, two USB-C ports, two standard USB ports, a micro SD card slot, and a mini headphone jack. The size is perfect for me. While weighing in at under four pounds, it is easy to take wherever you go. I have a laptop backpack with a dedicated laptop sleeve in the back, which is perfect for carrying this around. The built-in speakers are typical laptop speakers and can be used in a pinch, but I highly recommend using headphones, or an external Bluetooth speaker of your choice. While gaming, I personally prefer over-the-ear headphones for comfort, sound quality, and extended use. When watching movies, I have it paired with an external Bluetooth speaker and it is a great portable setup. If I had anything negative to say, it would be the initial Windows updates and install/update of some stock apps takes quite a bit of time to complete. If you want to update everything available before using the computer (which I do recommend), plan on doing that for at least a couple of hours. How long it takes depends on your WiFi connection of course. If you are computer savvy, this is a relatively easy and painless process, but still takes time. If you don’t know much about computers, it may take a little longer for you to complete, but can easily be done if you follow the prompts. Once everything is up to date, the computer is a joy to work on. It is fast, it runs super smooth, and it looks great. It’s one of those computers that gets compliments in coffee shops. Well done ASUS!

Pretty great for standard gaming; good battery life and graphics.

I am a college student majoring in computer science and also like gaming. This laptop allows me to play EVERY game I have thrown at it while also lasting around 9 hours on battery for schoolwork. It’s durable and looks cool. So far so good, one year in!

A great laptop in technical terms, but it does come with a bit of bloatware here and there. If you're willing to clean it up a bit it's a good buy. It's only major problems lie in its low number of USB slots and cooling issues which are common to most gaming laptops.

Excellent laptop with superb power and great battery life

Really high performance and good screen and a small form factor battery life is impressive but it gets a little bit too hot. At first I try to save $50 by getting the open box excellent version but that one was not very excellent. It had damage to the screen damaged lid and the chassis have been opened. quite disappointed with that one.

Bought an open box with big discount. My screen has no issue and look great. The performance is good as expected but runs really hot. Too hot to use it on your lap or on the bed.

Wow. What a piece of junk. Thing runs hotter than the surface of the sun. Super loud, and quirky as all get out. Also, windows 11 is horrible. Can’t find any of the settings I change. Taskbar is constantly compacted with hidden icons. I absolutely hate windows 11. The laptop is pretty, but even with regular use it’s ungodly hot and loud. I’ll be returning asap.

Probably one more star than I should give it, but I like it a lot when it works. On my 3rd and going 5o have to send this one in too. #1 blue screened on me and then just got stuck in a boot loop. #2 had the screen go out. Could've been a cat deciding to stand on it while closed, idk. #3 now won't work unless plugged in. This is supposed to be one of the best gaming laptops out there and I'm not hard on it. I must just have terrible luck. Geek Squad has been great, though.

this laptop would be perfect had it not been for the level of tuning you can do to the machine out of the box. undervolting would be ideal. you can fix this by doing a few registry edits and unlocking more power features. screen is fantastic, especially when you calibrate it and gaming on it is amazing. on the highest power settings (including unlocked settings) i managed 14 hours of battery life on this machine with just youtube and microsoft word. highly recomended for any gamer, student, or even content creator. hopefully as the machine software matures, it will be further optimized
