You'll have to tweak this laptop to gaming your needs. I recommend under volting cpu and gpu by 5-10 watts to control temps. I chose this laptop to game when I travel which I don't recommend(pls enjoy your time away from gaming.) I Wanted a bearable laptop weight and adequate gaming performance which this covers most of. Not perfect but very nice. If it was $1k it would be a steal. At $1,400 when i got this it would be okay. Good laptop if you're comfortable tweaking but if you want something ready without tweaking you'll have to get something else.

Got this laptop for home, travel, and play, after researching to hell and back on laptop specs during 2022. Wasn’t disappointed, highly impressed, and would recommend. This laptop is breeze for day-to-day use, fun to game on, and doesn’t feel like a workout when traveling with it.

Had to return because of bugs in the software. Otherwise, it was fast and had decent battery life.

Fantastic laptop. Knocked it down a star due to having to reinstall a lot of asus programs that were not working after 2 days of use. I bought it on sale and thats what i would recommend.

Wanted to like it, but it's just too hot. Not even concerned with the temp reading, but literally hot to the touch. Tips and tricks include things like turning off turbo (then why not get a cheaper laptop with less power) and using peripherals like an external keyboard to deal with the heat. At a certain point, you are either killing the portability, so just get a desktop, or you are throttling it, so get something cheaper with less power.

Runs almost every single game i throw at it with little to no issues the only downside i have seen is temps which is easily overcome by using manual mode and setting up a decent fan curve or running a cooling pad

Excellent performance, effortless set-up, and perfect size (for a 14"laptop). The only downside would be that it overheats a lot when pushed. Better to have a cooler pad!

With the more efficient AMD graphics this little machine can push higher performance than the nvidia counterpart. The build quality is very nice and the screen is a pleasure to use. Overall a great upgrade from the last year’s model, especially for an open-box version that was $900 off.

Works perfectly. Runs smooth, plays all the games I want. Lightning fast startup. Easy setup. Minor complaint: It defaults to using the incorrect GPU and I had to uninstall and reinstall AMD Adrenalin to be able to use the actual 6800s GPU instead of the Integrated.

Good value if on sale, does occasionally have random technical issues, but nothing too severe/unsolvable. Speakers are surprisingly good for a laptop of this size

This laptop started out good, but eventually had thermal issues that I am working to get repaired. Decent battery life as well.

I’ve had several gaming laptops and by far this one is the fastest and has had zero issues from day one until now. My MSI all AMD one had updating issues, my previous G14 with 5900hs/3060 would crash every now and then when gaming, this one has been nothing but awesome

After doing weeks of intense research on my first ever gaming laptop, I settled with the G14. Everyone online recommends this computer including Linus Tech Tips and other tech YouTubers. I decided this was the best model of the G14 for my needs. Immediately after receiving the laptop, the screen would go black after I logged in. A lot of reviews on this model seem to be having this same exact problem. It happens when you unplug it, plug it in, or start it up forcing you to do a forced shutdown. Specifically, it is when the laptop switches between GPU modes and between the dedicated and onboard graphics. Everywhere I look no one seems to know what is causing this problem including Best Buy (Geek Squad) and ASUS themselves. When I tried asking ASUS about the problem, they sent me away to talk to Best Buy, even though it was not a problem with Best Buy. I wanted to simply ask ASUS a question about their laptop and if any future driver updates would fix the issue. Anyways, some people say the MUX switch is bad. Some people say it's a driver issue. Long story short, I needed to return it a week after trying to fix the problem with driver updates and troubleshooting. When it did work, the laptop was amazing. It is, however, hard to look over the flaws with this specific model. I am buying the cheaper 6700S model which is said to not have this issue. I am hoping that one works. If not, do not buy this laptop, period, until they work out the bugs and stick a massive warranty on this laptop. I will update this if review if anything changes.

I used it for school and gaming and it works really good the only downside is that it’s only 1tb :( but you can also expand it with and sd card.

Excellent quality, I use for mostly video games but has the capability for multiple functions. Runs very smooth but can get really hot so recommend a fan.

love it. its a very nice gaming laptop and ive been using it for nearly everything. however sadly it doesnt support pc to oculus. tried it with the cable and it wouldnt work or would close the game, but besides that i love this laptop!

Bought this laptop for my girlfriend whom I love to game with. Amazing purchase, battery life is great for daily productivity tasks, and holds its own when gaming really well. Would recommend.

I returned the MSI stealth 14 for this one and it’s worth it. The display is crisper and the overall quality is just better. Both cpu and gpu are AMD, that’s hard to find nowadays. Great deal bestbuy.
