Only a few things i wish were different. 1. Soldered RAM is always annoying. Only one slot is upgradable sadly. 2. There is only one M.2 slot. 3. There seems to be a slight coil whine

Great value for a very good gaming laptop. I bought on sale for $1399 at best buy. I am amazed at how wuite this laptop is. The screen is very bright and yes I can run aby game on this with good fps. I highly recommend this laptop

It has been nothing, but fantastic. The screen is actually good unlike most laptops, and the All AMD set up is pretty slick. Sure you aren’t going to use raytracing in anything bc AMD’s raytracing hardware is in its first generation and is pretty weak, but it’s rasterization performance (your typical lighting methods) are solid. The battery life is really long due to Ryzen 6000 being extremely efficient. The USB4 type C port on the left allows you to connect Thunderbolt hubs with no problem. The HDMI port on the right is only HDMI 2.0, but you can easily get a “Type C to DisplayPort 1.4/HDMI 2.1” cable to get full functionality from those respective cables. Overall it’s a great laptop with exceedingly good functionality and versatility despite its smaller 14” thin and light form factor.

Bought this exact model new this summer, the first one completely crashed mid semester and I was without a computer for 3 weeks. Then the geek squad had me buy another one that I’d have to return once the new one came. Was a stupid setup and terrible planning.

There is some backlight bleeding at an acceptable level for me. Games look beautiful and crisp, despite the matte display. This runs hot on performance in armoury crate. Consider turbo or custom fan curve and/or elevating laptop. I use the roost v3, temps drop by 7-10 Celsius. Typing experience is amazing. Keyboard lighting is weird depending on the color you pick because of white keycaps. I have it plugged in all the time, so no comment on battery life.

Get this only if you need 14" portable laptop

However if you dont care for portability much and listen to a lot of music then go with 15" version because speakers on this laptop are not very loud.

Should've done more thorough research because it's been nothing but issues for me. Most glaringly major issue is the screen has a permanent line across the screen. ASUS support absolutely no help.

As far as portable and powerful goes, this thing hands down wins. Its performance is better than my 15.6 2070 razer. What totally ruined it for me though, is the thermals. The GPU had alright thermals, hovering around 80-85 degrees Celsius (for long-term use, dont want any higher than 85). The CPU, however, would get up to 93 degrees Celsius when gaming. You can use the armory crate application thats installed to manage the temperature a little bit, but any drastic change in the temperature would cause a severe drop on performace. I've tried to exchange and test a second one, but it was the same result. Unfortunately ill be returning this device and looking for something else.

We do understand your concern about thermal issues. It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please check that no resource hungry applications, services or processed are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.
