Gets a little too warm, otherwise it is a good laptop.

I used this for work while traveling, it has the capability to run the 3d programs that I nees.

It was absolutely amazing. The graphics where on point, and it ran very fast. I think this is a great purchase. I highly recommend it.

An excelent laptop! This is my first gaming laptop and it's been an incredible experience, and battery life is great as well!

While I rarely care about the looks of a computer I have to say Asus did a great job of making this computer look good! The performance of this computer is quite incredible! Granted I mostly play older steam title so I don't need all that power, but its nice to know I can if I want to. Audio speakers feel above average but nothing to go crazy over. The Display is fantastic; its super bright when you want and dark when you need to save on power. 120Hz is a good amount of refresh rate for a laptop. The combination of AMD CPU and GPU is great, you can take advantage AMD smart. Which shares resources between the CPU and GPU. My only real compliant and this is a common issue most gaming laptops run into is, it gets hot! If you have this thing under good amount of load you will notice it warms up quick! While I know it was designed this way it still doesn't feel all that great for long periods of time if you have your hand near the air vents or resting on top of the keyboard. All in all this computer is great! I spent weeks researching for a 14inch laptops to meet my demands and this one is one of the best out there. My recommendation is to try get it on a sale, best buy often has sales on laptops. I got it 450 dollars off which made it a easy choice. At a MSRP of 1900 dollars is kind of pushing it. It's still good but at that price point you can do better.

I have owned ASUS products in the past. So when I wanted to replace a 17" laptop I have had for 10 years, nicknamed Andre the Giant, I wanted to checkout Asus products. I read 15 independent reviews of the G14. I also monitored price. When Best Buy put this on sale I decided to buy. Great screen and really good track pad and keys. Lots of customization of lights too. So well built, the hinge is a work of art. Higher quality than some Apple laptops I have owned.

This is one of the few 14" gaming laptops. Built quality is decent. It does get warm during normal use & can get very hot during gaming. Fans are loud. Default fan curve fails to keep it cool during normal usage (browsing, non-gaming use). I returned mine because: 1. Didn't like the design (keyboard fonts, white color, design of the side, rear and bottom vents). 2. I think vent design restrict air flow. 3. AMD graphics needs a lot of tweaking, otherwise color looks washed out. 4. Default fan curves are BAD. For better thermal, you will have to manually set fan curve. Fans are not of best quality. I expect better fans at this price point. Lenovo laptop has excellent fans in comparison. 5. Horrible lid hinge design needs to be changes. Lap use is difficult. If they move to Nvidia graphics next year & change the lid hinge design, I'll try it.

As someone who previously owned the first model of this laptop, I can say that Asus has improved the G14 series in many vital ways. The hinge: The hinge on the 2020 G14 was atrocious. It began to squeak a couple months after ownership. This hinge feels a lot more solid and operates smoothly. The touchpad: The touchpad is a lot bigger than the 2020 G14 and this was one of my main complaints. Addition of a webcam: Although it is terrible, it is nice to have. This laptop still runs hot which is to be expected for a laptop of this size. The temperatures while doing light productivity tasks is acceptable around 40-50 degrees Celsius. The Temps while gaming can go pretty high and concern me a bit, but then again, my 2020 model went through hours of intense gaming sessions, and it was fine.

This laptop performs great on video games. The screen is super clear and vibrant.

Its an ROG laptop. it will run hot most the time when doing tasks or gaming, it will run loud when you game on it due to fans. you can undervolt it and turn down boosts. it doesnt make a noticable decrease in performance. it does help the thermals, keeps them idling in the 50-60cS. screen is nice. 1440p is almost doable with the 6700s. I didnt like my vr experience. and there were a few laptops i went through that were defective in graphics. I hate amd drivers for this card. I returned it. the build quality was nice though and the price is good at 1000 but nothing more

One of the worst laptop designs I've ever seen. It fails at everything it claims to be. The monitor and mouse both have high latency. The ASUS operating system is full of issues causing the laptop to go to sleep wrong. Ive waken up the laptop running at full fan speed at 100C while the laptop was put to sleep with the screen closed. It also has issues with powering on after sleep which causes the mouse and screen to run at 1 frame per 3 seconds for about 20 seconds before returning to normal functionality. The main issue with the laptop is the voltage settings. ASUS has tried to squeeze way too much performance out of the laptop and causes it to average 95-105C constantly. Even idle it runs at 80C and the fans sound like a jet engine. The laptop gets so hot it comes close to burning the hands you type with. The only way ive found to fix this is to turn down the voltage in windows registry which kills the performance. Even when running at the ASUS recommended settings the performance is sub par for the high end specs due to thermal throttling. I tried contacting ASUS support and they refused to do anything and just told me to take it back to the place I bought it even though it was still under waranty. I took it back to bestbuy and asked for another that still performed the exact same except the new one didnt have a broken display. Oh yeah I didnt mention that the first laptop had a broken display that was locked at 64 Hz instead of the advertised 120 hz. Geek squad was unable to fix it. Safe to say I will not be buying ASUS products if their engineers produce garbage like this. TLDR: Unusable out of the box, low quality firmware/software. It has high end hardware but because of thermals the high end hardware performs like a windows xp tower from 2001.
